The HR-V in had the multi-angled rear-view camera as well as the Lane Watch system. I had read multiple reviews and watched several video reviews about the HR-V. We pulled onto the Damson lot to see if they had the HR-V my wife wanted. Salesman Richard Cantwell greeted our group (my in-laws accompanied us). Richard was very nice but I didn't give him much of a chance to make his sales pitch. They had the HR-V EX in the beautiful Deep Ocean Pearl color my wife desired. It had most of the options we wanted and as a bonus, it had a sunroof, which we wasn't on our requirement list. We had test drove the HR-V EX previously at a different dealer. We checked over this HR-V and told Richard this was the one for us. He took us inside and wrote up the paperwork. We did not have a trade-in and we paid for the car in full, so no financing was required. Since the HR-V was literally right off of the truck, the car pricing services showed what they were selling for from Honda and that there wasn't any difference between the MSRP and the price being paid because it has no history. I'm sure a determined individual who was willing to drive to different locations could have gotten the HR-V for a few hundred dollars cheaper but we didn't want to spend that kind of time and effort. We were ushered into a different office to sign all of the paperwork to make the sale official. We were offered add-on items like an external paint protection application and then an extended warranty. I know some people hate to be offered such extras but this is how Capitalism works. You can say no, like we did for the paint protection and it is okay. We did want the 8-year, 100,000 mile warranty because the HR-V is a brand new model and has no reliability history. We love Honda but you can always get a car that develops issues after the 3-year, 36,000 warranty ends. If we could have paid for it that day it would have been $849 but we had to wait to make the extra payment so it is $899 and I hope we never have to use it. An accessories specialist took my wife through the technology package on the HR-V. He paired her iPhone with the car's entertainment system called HondaLink. He showed her how to manage the settings. It takes some getting used to but once you work with it for a few days, it begins to make sense. We wanted the door edging but they didn't have the item on that Saturday. We returned on Monday and the service department applied it to all four doors. Everyone was very nice to us during the buying experience. When we came back several employees asked us how we liked the HR-V. We had to leave town on Tuesday and the only optional item we purchased that Damson didn't have in stock was the rear cargo tray. They told us to go to our local Honda dealership here in Metairie, LA to pick it up at our convenience and they would cover it. I went today to Royal Honda of Metairie and they had the cargo tray in stock. They called Damson Honda, who gave them the needed info and I walked out with the tray. Now the sale is complete, we have everything completed and we can say we were satisfied with our buying experience at Damson. More

It is g We knew what type of car and price range we wanted and Sally Wise did a great job finding the car and finalizing the deal without any hassle. It is great to deal with a professional that is customer focused and not trying to get the "last dollar" to the company bottom line. Sally knows her business, approaches it in a very professional manner, and worked hard to make sure we were completely satisfied. Because of her effort we will be back the next time we are looking for a car and will send our friends her way too. Try Jerry Damson because they work very hard to be a contributing member of the community. And ask for Sally Wise...you'll be glad you did...We were!!! More
While the salesperson was nice, I would use the word unethical at best when describing their business practices. I was looking at a used Mercedes, and took it to the Mercedes dealer for a used car ins unethical at best when describing their business practices. I was looking at a used Mercedes, and took it to the Mercedes dealer for a used car inspection prior to purchasing it. There was almost $5k in repairs found, including the power steering, gear box and the suspension. The sales manager said it appeared Mercedes was "padding the estimate" and offered $1k. I walked away, only to see them drop the price without mentioning problems with the vehicle. If you buy a used car, buyer beware. Shame on you, Jerry Damson Honda! More
I purchased a minivan online from the dealership. I was coming in from out of state to pick it up so I didn’t exactly have the time to perform a full vehicle inspection prior to driving the car off the lot coming in from out of state to pick it up so I didn’t exactly have the time to perform a full vehicle inspection prior to driving the car off the lot. In addition, I didn’t think I had to. There was nothing mentioned in the listing about any issues with the van. Let me be clear about that point: there was nothing mentioned in the listing about any defects. About 30 minutes into driving the van home I noticed the right rear door ajar light was on. I pulled over to close the door but discovered that the right rear sliding door handle was just flopping around loose. The door could not be opened from the outside at all. When I got back home I wrote the salesperson to ask them to fix the door handle. This is the response I got back: “you bought this van as is…we cannot fix anything !!You signed several forms saying as is ..probably not much wrong with the door except the handle clip .. i would recommend a honda store in your area to fix it !” Needless to say, I was not happy with this response so I contacted the General Manager, Mr. Robert Crank. It took a while to get Mr. Crank to return my calls but when he did his response was much the same. He said that I should have found the faulty door handle before I paid for the car and it was my fault. I repeatedly asked him why the broken door handle was not mentioned in the eBay listing. He tried several times to dodge the question and the most I could ever get out of him was “we sell lots of cars on eBay.” He told me I should have tried all the doors and locks and windows before leaving. I asked him what if the issue was in the engine or transmission, how could I have checked for that before leaving? He told me that his response would be the same. The car was sold AS-IS and there was nothing they would do for any issue discovered with the car. We went around and around for a while but eventually he got to the point which was that they would not be helping me fix the door handle. I told him that I would be leaving negative reviews online about my experience and he cut me off and told me “goodbye” right before hanging up the phone on me. More
