There was a question about what exactly would need to be done - replace the top of the passenger side outer mirror or replace the entire mirror. As it turned out, the entire mirror needed to be replaced. However, I was not advised that this would need to be done until after the work was completed. Had I been advised of this, I would have asked that it be checked if this was covered under my extended warranty. As a result, I was told to check with the warranty company. I was advised by the representative of the warranty company that in order to know it the work was covered, they would have needed information from Shottenkirk Hoda as to the reasons the entire mirror needed to be replaced (I was told by SH that the mechanism for adjusting the mirror was broken), and the insurance company would have required documentation such as pictures. They could not reimburse me after the fact. As a result, I had a bill of almost $600. I am very unhappy about this and will be calling SH to speak with the manager. More
