I have been a loyal customer for several years now but I won't be returning. I had service on 6\9 and was told on the phone that I needed 2 new sets of wheel bearings for my rear tires "because of when my won't be returning. I had service on 6\9 and was told on the phone that I needed 2 new sets of wheel bearings for my rear tires "because of when my car was hit" (exact words from Jennifer) and I needed a new PCV because it was crushed. I stated that my car had never been in an accident so she backtracked and said, "Oh when you damaged the wheel". But I asked why two? She couldn't really give me an answer but quoted over $800 for the work. I declined. I do have one damaged wheel but had never had problems with it or heard any bearing type of noise. I was there for my 80,000 mile check, oil change, tire rotations, etc. and wheel alignment. I did ask them to mark the tire that has the damaged wheel so that I would know which one it was afterwards. It was marked before service began as I had asked. When I went to pick up my car, Jennifer told me she was wrong in saying I needed two sets of bearings. I only needed one set of wheel bearings replaced and it was for the damaged wheel. She also said they needed to order a PCV and would call me when it came in. I declined to have the bearings replaced because my confidence level in her and the service department had diminished. However, because bearings are a big deal and risky to drive with them going out, I took my car into a local mechanic with a well known reputation for quality and honest service. This was the following Monday 6/12. I was told that there is no issue with the wheel bearings and was asked why I thought so. I told them my dealership told me they were bad. They were at a loss as to why I would have been told such a thing when in fact there's nothing wrong. They actually had 3 mechanics look at the wheel bearings and test them. I immediately called your dealership to speak with Jennifer. I spoke with Charlotte and gave her the entire story and asked for Jennifer to call me back. I have yet to receive that call back and have yet to receive a call that the replacement PCV came in. Also, it took Jennifer several tries to get the correct amount for the service I did receive on my car that day and a correct quote for new bearings and a PCV. And there is no recommendation anywhere on my paperwork for new bearings or a new PCV. Did they actually have the right car? More
