Took my 2018 RAM for basic services and everything turned into a DISASTER. The Service Manager told us they would "refund the money we paid, because no one should have to go through what we went through"....but of course, They DID NOT refund a single penny. Could go into detail about what happened, but it's too ridiculous to believe, Just STAY AWAY. Do the service yourself or get a Gas Station. The GM of the dealership said his maintenance techs are not Chrysler Certified and he didn't see the need!! Enough said on that.....it's an $80k vehicle. More
Poor Service Experience Express Lane Service? That's a joke. I took my 2016 RAM 2500 Laramie Longhorn to Shottenkirk Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Canton on July 12th 2017 for a Express Lane Service? That's a joke. I took my 2016 RAM 2500 Laramie Longhorn to Shottenkirk Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Canton on July 12th 2017 for an oil change and a tire rotation. I was promptly greeted by Leonard who informed me that it may take around an hour, maybe a little more, to service my truck. Being that I was already there and really didn't feel like having to come back, I reluctantly decided to wait in their customer lounge. After answering a few work emails, I had realized that about 45 minutes had already passed and my truck was still in the service bay. I asked Leonard how much longer it was going to take since it hadn't moved, and I was told not "too" much longer. To make a long story short, it took roughly 2 1/2 hours to change my oil and rotate my tires. On my drive home, I also noticed that my DEF had been refilled (it was 3/4 full). After looking at the invoice, I noticed that I was charged $10.50 to refill the DEF that I never authorized or asked to be refilled. I have bought 3 new vehicles from that dealership in the past 5 years (2 were under Cherokee CJD), but my latest being about a year ago. I prepaid for a few oil changes, so I'm really stuck between using them or telling them to shove them. I can get past the wait time, as they have never surprised me with their speed. However, charging me for a service that I did not ask for and sneaking it on to my bill was the relationship killer. I will never deal with this dealership again and I hope you'll think twice about it as well. More
Terrible breach of trust - will never return. Took advantage of a free oil change. I should have learned my lesson the first time. First time they didn't tighten the xxxx lugs all the way an Took advantage of a free oil change. I should have learned my lesson the first time. First time they didn't tighten the xxxx lugs all the way and called me back after I left. What a great feeling. Second free oil change was better and went accordingly. Last free oil change - the kid drives my car off the lot. I follow and watch him drive it down the road out of sight. He comes back and parks it and then steps out looking at another co worker with a face like he just had a great time. I knew what he was going to do the minute he drove off the lot with my car. A freakin oil change doesn't require a test drive. DO NOT use these people. Not to mention they had some kid in uniform - literally a 12 or 14 year old in the bay area who's tossing a freakin football up in the air and catching it in the vicinity of people's cars. I saw this kid sit in the driver's seat of someone's car - I thought he was going to drive it back for a second but he didn't. These people don't care about you. If they did these actions wouldn't have happened at all. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Just to top it off - I left and took the same route the kid took who brought my car up front took. Took a right out of the dealership and went down to the dead end - what do you think I saw on the ground? 2 FRESH tire lines on the ground in the cul de sac. NEVER AGAIN. Not only did you lose me as a customer - but you lost everyone I know in the car community. More
Excellent Just had my truck serviced. The team at xxxxtenkirk provides excellent customer service. I find this to be the case each and every time I come in. Just had my truck serviced. Terrible x3 This is a review about their service dept. I will not use them again. It is a waste of time to bring your under warranty vehicle here for repairs. This is a review about their service dept. I will not use them again. It is a waste of time to bring your under warranty vehicle here for repairs. I have used them several times for repairs. The service guy is always quick to point out what isn't covered and to date they have been unable to duplicate obvious issues that are extremely easy repairs. I'm not talking about the major issues they claim to not be able to duplicate and will have repaired elsewhere like shifting into/popping out of 4th gear, noisy throw out bearing or input bearing, and engine pinging. (16k miles now) If they can't handle easy stuff why would I have confidence they can repair major driveline issues? Guess they don't get paid enough for small repairs. Brought it in when a tire store advised it needed an alignment (about 3k miles). Advisor said he had to "claim" I said it was pulling to have an alignment done under warranty. Weird. I think they are getting a little creative with how they bill Chrysler for warranty repairs. Strike 1. Your billing practices are none of my business and I don't need to be told how you get paid. Next trip was for the shifting issues & a tailgate rattle - how freaking hard is it to tighten the striker? Paperwork says they were unable to duplicate so they greased and tightened associated parts and no noise at this time - YET IT WAS STILL RATTLING LEAVING THEIR SERVICE LANE!!!! One could shake the tailgate by hand and hear and feel that it was loose in the jamb. Brought the Jeep to another dealer with identical complaint of rattle in rear of Jeep and they adjusted the tailgate striker and resolved the problem. Strike two. Brought it in most recently for same transmission and engine issues and the drivers side seat squeaking. This is a manual transmission vehicle so you move around in the seat quite a bit shifting gears and it is a Jeep after all, not the smoothest riding vehicle. When I dropped it off I should have known how this was going to go. They were still open (it was about 6pm) and there was one employee behind a desk helping someone and several customers waiting. No one even recognized that I walked in. After waiting for several minutes and not being addressed I just used the key drop and left. Next day when the service guy called he was again quick to point out that clutches aren't covered (it is not a clutch problem) and after inspecting it, said they couldn't duplicate any of my concerns including the noise in the seat. Strike 3. This time when I went to pick up the vehicle the cashier handed me the paperwork and the key. When I asked where the Jeep was parked she just looked disgusted and called a porter to get it for me. The cashier pointed toward and told me to go wait in front of the parts dept entry and it would be pulled around. I waited 20 min and when it never arrived I began walking back to the cashier to complain when I saw out the window to the service lanes on the other side of the store that it was sitting the in service lane. I approached the Jeep to find it just sitting there running. Appeared to have been there the whole time. Thanks for coming to find the vehicle owner Mr. Porter. And to complete the complaint - as soon as I sat down I was greeted to a still squeaking seat! Can't duplicate it my arse! Your service, technicians, porters, and cashier people are rude, inconsiderate with my time, and incompetent. It is a major inconvenience to bring a vehicle in for repairs and your people act like you are doing me a favor being there. You are there because of fools like me who continue to buy Jeep products despite their company history or reliability records. I have a dear friend that is an employee there who has advised me on how to "fight" to have the work done and even gave the GM's name and some other head Shottenkirk person's info. Turns out the GM lives couple doors down from me. I am not interested in winning an argument to convince you to do your job. I'll be taking my vehicle to a store that appreciates me as a customer and has competent technicians.DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE More
