Car was driving very wobbly. Made appointment to have wobble in car checked out. Upon arrival was told they were running 1 day behind and I would need to leave my car for 2 days. I was not prepared for that, and not forwarned before bringing my car in. My service advisor said they could balance the tires and see if that was the problem but that’s all they could do at the moment. I agreed to the service. Tires were balanced but wobble was worse. I went to another car repair business to get the wobble checked out. Immediately they found that one of my tires had split. The tire was replaced and the wobble disappeared. This was a potentially very dangerous defect in the tire. How did the Shottenkirk mechanics NOT notice this immediately while they balanced the tires??? I’m very disappointed in them for blatantly missing this problem with the tire and not even taking time to discover the problem. More

If you want your vehicle damaged, requiring more repairs than originally necessary, Shottenkirk is the dealership for your next Jeep service! I used this dealership as a matter of convenience, but their in than originally necessary, Shottenkirk is the dealership for your next Jeep service! I used this dealership as a matter of convenience, but their incompetence and fighting to get the new damage repaired is not worth the convenience. I now will drive out of my way to go to another dealership. The following damages have occurred while at Shottenkirk: 1) scratches on the interior of the doors, 2) air bag deployed, 3) hood scratched twice, 4) windshield surround scratched twice, 5) AC control knob fell off, 6) headlight installed upside down, 7) multiple plastic pieces under the hood broken, 8) wires for the doors (that dealership denies having touched) left detached. I’ve had to rent a car multiple times for up to 2 weeks, paying out-of-pocket. I’ve had repairs take much longer than estimated because there was a need for an engineer to fix the problem. In the most recent experience, I was told to pick up my repaired Jeep at 6:00 PM (service center closes at 6:30) only to wait until 6:30 to be told that it is not ready, and I would need a rental. As I was about to leave in the rental car, the technician was driving the miraculously repaired Jeep to me and the driver’s side airbag deployed, resulting in a trip to ER for the technician. I then had to argue about how that would be repaired. To the dealership’s credit, the airbag repair was covered, and I was told this would not be listed on my Carfax report. So, my Jeep finally repaired, I picked it up and drove to work, only to have it fail again, the same day. This time, a dead battery. I hate writing negative reviews. I know, in today’s world, this could impact someone’s paycheck. However, I am very frustrated and feel this negative review may lead to improvement of Shottenkirk’s service center. More
