Despite the defect being irreparable, Sheehy sales department will also not make any kind of good faith deal for a trade-in. I purchased a new VW with the Sheehy VIP package and it has made no difference. Will never buy another VW again. More

Went today to trade in our '20 Jetta for a '23 CPO Atlas. After being offered a fair (not fantastic) trade in price, we agreed to a final, out-the-door price on the Atlas & signed the sales agreement. Got ba After being offered a fair (not fantastic) trade in price, we agreed to a final, out-the-door price on the Atlas & signed the sales agreement. Got back into the finance office & the price was almost $2K more than what we had agreed to. They looked into it & their "system had forgotten" to add in the sales tax...the same automated system they use for every vehicle sale. Of course, they couldn't explain this & apologized, but said there was nothing they could do. After consideration, I told the sales manager, Jorge, that if he took another $1K off the price of the vehicle to bring it down closer to what we'd agreed to, I'd sign & take the car. He refused & said there was nothing he could do...they were already losing money...blah blah blah. Shady, shady, shady practice. We're wondering if this happens to every customer who goes through there...they get back to finance after being at the dealership for hours & are told "oops, that out-the-door price you agreed to didn't include the sales tax," so the weary souls just say "fine" & sign so they can leave with their new vehicle. We said no way & walked. We're both business owners, & if our "system" makes an error & undercharges a customer, we absorb the loss or adjust our pricing to compensate...we don't insist that our customers pay a price they did not agree to. I do need to mention that our salesman, Jonathan Martinez, is a super nice guy...we bought our son's '19 CPO Jetta from him back in '20. He apologized profusely for the "error" today, & we told him it's not his fault, but that the way his manager, Jorge, had handled things was unprofessional. Unfortunately, because of this, Sheehy Volkswagen of Springfield has lost our business permanently. More

I ask her for a test drive and she needs "to ask her manager" since it's a manual transmission. She says that I may stall the car--after telling her i've owned many manual transmission cars she tells me "that's what everyone says". What kind of dealership treats customers like this? Amazing how entitled and arrogant this dealer is--stay away if you want to be treated with respect. More
************SCAM*******MISINFORMATION********* Do not trust a word this shady and manipulative dealership says!!!!! I purchased my vehicle from the Springfield Sheehy VW dealership a little over 1 year a trust a word this shady and manipulative dealership says!!!!! I purchased my vehicle from the Springfield Sheehy VW dealership a little over 1 year ago. Through out this time, I've exclusively taken my vehicle to get serviced from the same dealership. After paying off my vehicle I decided to use their vehicle appraisal tool to see what offer they could make to buy back my vehicle. A Sales and Leasing Consultant reached out to me and explained the process and stated that the offer would be good for 7 days. He asked me to bring my vehicle in for an appraisal and final offer. Upon arriving to the dealership the Pre-Owned Sales Manager, Riadh Mejri not only gave me a much much lower offer than the Sheehy appraisal tool but then told me that the offer he made had to be taken right now and that he wouldn't going to honor the 7 days to consider the offer!! I stated that his associate stated I had seven days to decide and asked why couldn't I have time to think about the offer and Riadh stated that he doesn't give customers time to think about the offer and that the offer could be lower if he re-appraises the vehicle. This is the definition of horrible customer service and lying to customers about policies in place. More

Do not drop your preconceptions of predatory dealership culture—they want to sell and will make assumptions, pressure, violate privacy, and gauge what they can get away with. Expect typical selling strateg culture—they want to sell and will make assumptions, pressure, violate privacy, and gauge what they can get away with. Expect typical selling strategies and threshold level ethical standards. My experience: They intensely pressured me to buy various warranties, pricing changed frequently, there are plenty of vaguely described fees, they make assumptions for sales manipulation, and ~intensely~ seek your personal information to gauge how much they can get out of you, etc. I came in with a pre approved check from my bank. I did not give consent to apply for their financing and did not wish to share unnecessary personal information (social, income, history, etc.). They tried to tell me it was necessary to apply, fill out this and that, etc. I was on defense but they lied and got me to drive there (2h) to buy the car. They lied and lied again when they still used my information to cast a wide net to creditors against my wishes. Since buying my car (with a check from my trusted bank I got weeks prior) I get physical SPAM mail EVERY DAY (various loan servicers, credit card pre approvals, extended warranties, etc). I didn’t apply for anything and asked not to, but somehow everyone has my personal information!!!! Not to mention other lies: Service history: breaks were just replaced, the squeaky power windows just need wd40 (expensive mechanical issue), and service was up to date! Makes me feel really uneasy about the purchase and what they do with my personal info. (Within two months I had to completely replace all breaks and rotors, power windows needed fixed, oil change was much needed, had to get a weird engine sound checked, and multiple fluids needed. Really lame.) My experience buying a used vehicle was disappointing as anticipated. I was on defense and untrusting during and feel uneasy and used afterwards. More
After pumping gas, my son forgot to put the gas cap on and check engine light came on. They charge him $385 to reset the check engine light and insisted to replace the cap. What a rip off.
