We returned for our 3rd car from this dealership for 2 reasons. First, we wanted a fuel efficient, reasonably priced car and had been pleased with our previous 2 toyotas. Scheduled an appointment at Bill Kidd’s to have a Toyota recall for the rear suspension on my ’09 Rav4 completed and have my transmission looked over, because since I got the transmission fluid changed at a recall for the rear suspension on my ’09 Rav4 completed and have my transmission looked over, because since I got the transmission fluid changed at another Toyota dealer it shifts abruptly on rare occasions. The friendly mechanic, Ari, checked the transmission and noticed a slight rattle at 25 to 35 mph and went ahead and updated the software in the car (there was about 25 miles left on the warranty!) and upon looking at the service history informed me that the transmission fluid had only been drained and filled, not changed (i.e. flushed and filled) by the previous dealer as I had requested and expected, because the service record he said only recorded having used 4 quarts of transmission fluid. To my surprise, Ari also gave my car a free car wash! Bill Kidd’s and Ari have definitely won the loyalty of this Toyota owner and will be recommended to everyone I know in the area with a Toyota. I have known and liked Paul Anecaricho for over 20 years and yet have never purchased a car from Bill Kidd's. From the start, Paul let me know that I was going to get the best deal on the car I really want and yet have never purchased a car from Bill Kidd's. There was no Hard Sell and Paul let me know that he personally would see that I received the best service in the future. Chris was very knowledgeable about the car. I was very satisfied with the quality of customer service and the work performed. However, I was very disappointed with Toyota due to several significant reasons. I drive a Toyota Highland Hybrid with approximately 75000 miles on it. I always maintain my vehicles and change the oil regulary, on time. This is the fourth Toyota that I have owned and always tell all of my acquaintances how Toyota is the best quality and that is the reason I prefer Toyota. However, the ignition coil on my Highlander suddenly cracked while I was driving and I was not even able to pull over. It was a very dangerous situation and very scary for me as I was on a windy country road in the dark. The sitatuion was so dangerous that the police were threatening to impound my vehicle due to the dangerousness of this situation. Upon further investigation, I learned that this seems to be a common problem with this vehicle. I was fortunate that I was not hurt due to this dangerous situation and I am actually very disappointed with Toyota as I do believe this was a factory defect and I was informed that it was not under warranty at the time. I did speak to the service manager with regards to this issue and he agreed to offer a discount on the repair but I would have expected this to be covered in full. I am reconsidering whether or not I wish to continue to drive this vehicle due to the risk that this could happen again and I may not be as fortunate to escape from this dangerous siutation unharmed, to say nothing of the risk to any family members or other passengers whom I may transport in my vehicle. I want to make it perfectly clear to Toyotat that the dealership provided the highest quality of service I could have expected. More
I corresponded repeatedly with Mike over the past couple of days. He worked with us to hammer out a really good deal, with none of the painful back-and-forth drama we've experienced with other dealers. We s of days. We spent a few hours the dealership with him today, test-driving the car and discussing its features with Mike, and the crossing the finish line with an acceptable deal. Everyone there stressed that they hoped our experience was "excellent." And, to my surprise, indeed it was. I highly recommend Mike and the crew at Bill Kidd's in general. More
