Great experience here - we bought a car in a very simple process. They made it friendly and manageable where most dealers are time hogs and mess things up. Was not the case here. process. Great purchase experience from start to finish! Salesman was knowledgeable and courteous, finance guy went over everything and parts manager rushed an accessory I wanted. Salesman was knowledgeable and courteous, finance guy went over everything and parts manager rushed an accessory I wanted. More
Warning this dealership will scam you out of your title and tag money. They will lie about when your refund will get to you, and they will play in your face and tell you that they don’t have a title and re and tag money. They will lie about when your refund will get to you, and they will play in your face and tell you that they don’t have a title and registration department when you try to resolve the situation over the phone. Still going through this so more to come after this review! Update “Why would we lie over 100 and something dollars”, said Finance Manager Michael DeSabla as he lied in our faces. The customer service at this branch is despicable. They gaslit my friend and I as we explained the situation multiple times. At first, it was, “The check may not have gotten to you yet”. It’s been almost 3 weeks and we live 15 minutes away, and at the end of the conversation it turned to “So we shouldn’t send the check and you’ll come in during the week to pick it up”. Which one is it?! Did you send the check or did you not? My friend has come to this branch every week for the past three weeks and still nothing has been resolved. The money yes is an issue, but the bigger issue is the gaslighting and customer service. The lying, misleading, and gaslighting, while being unapologetic have led me to write this review and file a complaint with MVA. We have never been treated so poorly and will not let you all get away with it. Michael and the people who aided in this situation are the reason why dealerships get such a bad reputation. Higher better people who will own up to their mistakes and apologize when they make them! More
FIND ANOTHER DEALER! I can't speak to the Sheehy brand in general, but buying a car at the Laurel location has been a disaster. Prior to signing over the money, they I can't speak to the Sheehy brand in general, but buying a car at the Laurel location has been a disaster. Prior to signing over the money, they assured me repeatedly they would take care of everything and that my experience would be great. After signing over the money, they have not lived up to 4 separate assurances. Beware, they are the stereotype of what you dread about used car dealerships. More
I recently had a very disappointing experience at Sheehy Toyota of Laurel while attempting to purchase a Toyota Sienna XLE 8-seater. This model is rare, and most dealerships only have the 7-seater version, Toyota of Laurel while attempting to purchase a Toyota Sienna XLE 8-seater. This model is rare, and most dealerships only have the 7-seater version, so I was eager to secure the one I needed at this location. Initially, everything seemed promising. Nick Teye, the salesperson assisting me, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He guided me through various options and helped negotiate the price. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. When it came time to close the deal, I was handed over to Jordan Jenkins, whose behavior was utterly unprofessional and upsetting. On June 17th, I started negotiating the price, and I returned on June 21st to finalize the purchase. To my dismay, Jordan added an unexpected $2000 to the agreed price and tried to justify it. When I questioned the extra charge, he became visibly unhappy and defensive. Jordan's attitude was dismissive and disrespectful throughout our interaction. He inaccurately entered my information and the purpose of the vehicle purchase. When I asked him to correct these errors, he became even more agitated, accusing me of being overly demanding. His response to my concerns was, "Trust me, I've done a lot of sales this way, and it should be fine." However, I couldn't just take his word when signing a legal document worth over $50,000. Most of the time I spent in his office, Jordan was preoccupied with phone calls and texting on two phones simultaneously. This not only distracted him but also created a chaotic environment, making it difficult for me to focus. His multitasking was unprofessional and disrespectful. As I was signing the multi-step documents on his table, he grew impatient with the way I read them, insisting I just sign and move on. When I asked him to explain what I was signing, he rudely stated, "It’s all in the email I sent you, there's nothing more to say." After enduring this rough and intimidating experience, he hurriedly handed me the documents on a flash drive and led me outside for additional signatures. He passed some papers to a person in an open cubicle and disappeared back into his office. I was left waiting for Nick to finalize everything. When I sought further clarification, I found Jordan in his office, eating and ignoring me. He locked his door and pretended not to see me until I knocked. His response was painfully rude: "What do you want?" This was the final straw. While I cannot speak for the entire management team at Sheehy Toyota of Laurel, my experience with Jordan Jenkins was extremely disappointing. It was clear there was no review mechanism in place for monitoring how their salespeople handle business. If you have the option, I strongly recommend looking at other Toyota dealers. If you must go to Sheehy Toyota of Laurel, avoid Jordan Jenkins or ensure you have witnesses and thoroughly check the price he quotes you. My experience left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer. More
