I went to Rosner Toyota to take a look at the Toyota Prius.I Had a very nice salesman {Bill Dunn} who found me out by the Prius's. After finding out what I wantted,bill new he had one. It was quite refreshing to see a car dealer not putting any pressure and giving you a honest and candid comparison of the Prius to the other available hybrids in the market. My wife and I have been buying cars since the mid '70s but it has been few and far inbetween that we have had enjoyable experiences while shopping for a new car. The experience was normally tainted by our perception that either the salesman or the manager were trying to 'nickel and dime' you to death. Note that, at one time, we had up to 5 cars in our household due to daughters going to college on our older cars and new cars being used by both my wife and I. I would highly recommend Rosner Motors Toyota to anyone who needs a solid and honest dealer to help them go through the numbers and in making the right choice for a new car. Their rewards program which include free oil changes, annual inspection, etc. is just an added bonus to their superb service department. Note that the service department manager (I forget the name) was very helpful and friendly as well. More

I had done my homework, knew the vehicle I wanted, and had a good sense of the price range to expect. I initiated contact via email and quickly settled on a price. When I got there, everyone was friendly and professional. No hassles, no heavy sales pitch, no surprises or hidden charges. In the Internet age, when so much information is available on-line before a consumer sets foot in a dealership, Rosner's willingness to deal straightforwardly with an informed customer was greatly appreciated. I visited Rosner Toyota on the evening of 27 June 2011. During the visit, I test drove and attempted to place a Toyota Tacoma under a 72-hour contract. I informed the salesman that I did not want financin During the visit, I test drove and attempted to place a Toyota Tacoma under a 72-hour contract. I informed the salesman that I did not want financing from Rosner; rather, I simply wanted a price for the vehicle so I could negotiate financing through my credit union. The salesman said he understood and that they would not be running a credit check. While filling out the paperwork to put this vehicle into a 72-hour contract, I asked the salesman how much I should expect the vehicle to cost. He told me that it would be no more than $32,000.00. Once the paperwork had been filled out, he went to speak to the sales manager to begin the process of deciding upon a price for the vehicle. When he returned, the price had jumped to $34,000.00. The salesman asked me for a counter-offer to take to his manager, so I looked up the price of an identical vehicle at another dealer in Arlington, VA and asked him to match that price. When the salesman returned from speaking with his manager the second time, he told me that they would not match that price and wanted me to explain a foreclosure on my credit history. I've pulled my credit report from Experian and have verified that Rosner did check my credit. Checking my credit and raising the price of a vehicle based on that credit check when they are not going to be financing the purchase appears to be, at best, unprofessional and rude. This was my first and last encounter with Rosner Toyota, so I cannot speak to whether this circumstance was an anomaly or common practice. Regardless, I would advise consumers to avoid this business. I've listed the person with whom I spoke as "Dodge Ram Owner" because I don't know his name, but that was his preferred topic of conversation throughout the test drive. More
We were looking for a Toyota Sienna. We clearly explained our price target, requested options, etc. The salesman said that they were willing to work with us and showed us a vehicle in our price range. Everything went fine until the negotiation where they put the original sticker on the offer. They failed to explain that we didnt qualify for the "promotional discount price" until the negotiation. After some haggling, they attempted to put the cost back into their financing offer. After that point, I walked away and was extremely dissapointed. I would highly recommend to be very careful with the finance managers and general managers. More
