Mr. Penn was very helpful and very knowledgable about the sales process as I decide whether to upgrade my pathfinder to a new vehicle. Mr. Penn was not pushy and he answered all questions honestly. I recently bought a 2010 Versa for my daughter from Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf and was very pleased with how she was treated. The salesperson Johnnie was very courteous and professional. He gave her a gr Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf and was very pleased with how she was treated. The salesperson Johnnie was very courteous and professional. He gave her a great price without my being there so all I had to do was review the numbers, vehicle and close the deal. Every person we worked with from the manager (Peter) to the finance person (Laura)were very helpful. I wish every dealership was run this professionally. More
The dealership had a great staff! They were all helpful and more than willing to bend over backwards. It is easy to see why the dealership's motto is "sincere and hospitable employees". I would like to say that this experience reminded me of dealing with the customer service at a dealership in Japan. Harold was extremely polite and professional. He took great care of my vehicle and me. Un dealing with the customer service at a dealership in Japan. Harold was extremely polite and professional. He took great care of my vehicle and me. On Friday, Aug 25th, I took my vehicle in to have Sheehy Nissan diagnose the reason my check engine light was on. Since the vehicle is under warrantee, I refrained from doing the work myself. During check Nissan diagnose the reason my check engine light was on. Since the vehicle is under warrantee, I refrained from doing the work myself. During check-in I consented to the diagnostics fee of approx $99, which, I was told, would be waived if the diagnosis was covered under warrantee. They asked me what the car was doing; I told them that it hesitated sometimes and it backfired once. The next day, Sheehy called me and said that the NOX sensor was bad and would be replaced at no charge, according to the warrantee. She went on, further, to explain that my #1 plug wire was frayed and was causing arcing. She recommended replacing the plugs, plug wires, rotor cap, and rotor for an outlandish price of $370. I was surprised to hear that the wire was bad, since I had just, recently, replaced them with a high quality, after market brand. I declined the service and asked them to just perform the warrantee work. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was surprised to find out that I owed $99.40 for their services. Questioning why, they explained that "other" diagnosis was necessary to determine the problems I was experiencing, therefore the service charge. I confronted them asking why they didn't disclose this in the beginning, or at least give me a call to determine whether or not I wanted to incur extra charges, to which I was not given an answer other than, "You signed the form". Since I was already a half hour late for an obligation, I paid for the service telling them that I would seek compensation. The following day we talked with the General Manager. He insisted that the charges were correct. After a long, heated, discussion, he agreed to issue a check to the amount in dispute. He would not give and explanation as to the reason for the undisclosed charges, only giving dodging answers. We are confident that Sheehy Nissan will continue this practice despite our firm insistence that customers be given full disclosure. Furthermore, I am not confident that a check will be sent. Time will tell. The second part of this - I have been a diesel and small engine mechanic for almost 17 years. I believe I have enough expert experience to evaluate the quality of parts and to determine if they are worn, broke, etc. When I went to perform the non-warrantee covered work myself (change spark plugs, wires, etc...by the way - at only a charge of $51) I discovered that the plug wires were almost as good as the day they were purchased - only showing normal wear (dust and grease). They were completely intact. Furthermore, the plugs were not fouled in any way - only showing the normal carbon deposits and prong wear. No sign of arcing along the wire run or on the plug. A non-functioning or ill functioning plug would have more deposits and would probably be wet, smelling of gasoline. Nothing was wrong with the rotor or rotor cap either - simply normal spark wear. I replaced the plugs myself - simply because the nox sensor was bad and I like new plugs. More
Walked in the door, 2 service agents (male & female) saw me, walked by me several times, and never asked to help me...Let me stand there for 5 minutes before I had to walk in the office and ask for help saw me, walked by me several times, and never asked to help me...Let me stand there for 5 minutes before I had to walk in the office and ask for help. I arrived at the dealership 40 miles before my warranty ran out, they told me to come back in 2 days. I did, they fixed it and the warranty service wouldn't cover it becuase I was 12 miles over my 75K mile max. Sheehy Nissan would not vouch for me or help me get it covered. Obviously only concerned for the money and not me as a customer. More
After having a very good purchase experience with my salesperson, Paul Robertson, I have been disappointed to date with the service climate at Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf. I bought my 2004 Titan 2wd SE ex salesperson, Paul Robertson, I have been disappointed to date with the service climate at Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf. I bought my 2004 Titan 2wd SE expressly for towing our two warmblood horses in our "plain Jane" nearly new two horse steel horse trailer. If I could afford tow vehicles, one for towing and one for commuting 80 miles round trip daily, I would not be burning my 5.6l gasser around the beltway twice a day. Be that as it may, I have racked up 12000 miles pretty quickly (three months), and have towed my rig a total of 900 miles of those. Following the owner's manual to a tee, I did not tow for the first 500 miles, and then did not tow >50mph for the next 500 miles, and never used the cruise control while towing (see the owner's manual if your sales person does not tell you this detal, as mine didn't). When I told left my Titan at Sheehy for 6 days to look into the truck's inablity to shift from 3rd to 4th in tow mode (will tach right up to 3400 rpm w/o shifting), the service department, then the general manager, told me that I would have to bring in my trailer WITH MY HORSES loaded on it to PROVE that I was not exceeding the 9500 lbs. limit to tow. I offered that the service manager take a short drive to see my trailer and it's clearly labeled 7000 lbs. GROSS (for those new to this...read FULLY LOADED) weight placard on the side of this little two horse trailer. The service manager declined my suggestion and still told me to bring my truck and trailer in fully loaded with horses so that it could be weighed. I told the service advisor to call the local horse trailer dealer and ask how much a two horse trailer might weigh with two horses aboard...and he declined doing this.
If Nissan wants to sell this truck as a towing vehicle in the competition of venerable towing rigs badged Ford, Chevy, and Dodge, they'd better find a better way to diagnose a towing problem than calling the buyer a liar and telling the buyer that they'd had contractors try to pull 10000 with their Titans and then get warranty service. Nothing against contractors, I just am not one, and I will now load up my horses and put them at risk so some mechanic can pull them up and down Rt. 301 trying to recreate my tranny symptoms.
Note to Sheehy-and Nissan in general: You're now playing with the big boys; either step up to the plate and buy a cheap trailer for you dealership (I can find you one for <$1,000), load it up with concrete blocks, and go diagnose your towing problems.
As of three days ago, I'm still waiting to hear from Mr. Wade at Sheehy.
.........on my way to a lemon law claim and my Ford dealer........ I understand that they are a volume dealer, meaning they get paid a salary instead of commission. So why is it when I stepped foot out of the car I was in to check out the dealership, and turned around, the get paid a salary instead of commission. So why is it when I stepped foot out of the car I was in to check out the dealership, and turned around, there was a saleman standing there with a card in his hand pushing it towards me. Only because they were the cheapest did I purchase from there. Besides that , the guy that did the financing was a jerk, and they attempted to raise the price after the day manager told me one thing, and the night told me another. Anyway, after the confusion of a lifetime, they finally got it togather. BUT WHY DID THEY GIVE ME AN EXTRA KEY THAT DOES NOT WORK! The keyless entry remote works but the key wont even turn the car on let alone start it. More
