Failed Recall Fix and Failed Communication for Service Dept. Brought my 2014 Nissan Pathfinder to Sheehy of Nissan for a recall of an airbag. I did not buy the car from that dealership but it was the closest to Brought my 2014 Nissan Pathfinder to Sheehy of Nissan for a recall of an airbag. I did not buy the car from that dealership but it was the closest to my house. Took the car in, 1 hour later and the recall was done and I was on my way. A couple days later the issue with the airbag was back and I was concerned it was a bigger issue. 2nd visit to the dealership a couple months later to get the airbag looked at again and also get my 5,000 mile oil change. I called to schedule an appointment to get the oil changed and the service rep on the phone (I can't remember the guy's name) said that since it was my first time bringing the car into service, my first oil change was free! I was excited to hear that and mentioned that even though I did not buy the car from Sheehy, would I still get a free oil change? He said yes, Sheehy wanted to earn my business. I was excited and mentioned that the airbag was acting up also after the recall. He said they would look at that also. Bought the car in and dropped it off for the oil change and get them to look at the airbag again. Well when I got there, Richard, very very nice guy, checked me in and said that it would be about an hour. I sat down to the dirty waiting room (literally a cockroach was dead on the carpet right where everyone was sitting). Richard comes back out to the waiting room 15 mins later and said that I dont get a free oil change because I did not buy the car from Sheehy. I said that I talked to the service rep when I made my appointment and said that I did not buy it from Sheehy and that was still OK. Richard said sorry and said it would be $43. I was pretty pissed because I would have done the oil change myself if I was going to spend $43 on a dealership oil change. I did mention the air bag and he said that they were going to check it again. 2 hours later Richard comes out and says everything is done. I go out to check out and told him how pissed I was about the miscommunication about the oil change, he apologized and I made sure to get the number of Gregg Proffitt the service rep for that dealership to let him know what happened. The other thing that really pissed me off and made me NEVER to come back to this dealership is that Richard told me that the previous codes for the airbag recall were still present in the car! This means that they did either NOT do the recall which is horrible and when coming to safety to my family pissed me off or they did not double check their work. I contacted Greg Proffitt and he called me and said they would give me a $43 credit next time I went back to the dealership. I told him I am never coming back and just want a refund. 3 weeks go by and he does NOT respond to calls or emails. I then follow up with my last email saying that I am going to leave negative reviews about the dealership and he does not even call me back. He gets Richard to call me back. As if I was not worth his time to reach out to. Richard was great and refunded my money. I am NEVER going back there and will not recommend Sheehy to my friends or family to buy a car or service a car there. This could have been avoided but Greg did not put much effort into any of this. Because we live in Maryland, the rules with regard to inspection and registration are somewhat different than they are in Virginia . Vince was of great help in ensuring that work was done to meet Maryland inspection standards and that the car was put into beautiful shape. Vince was always there when we had a question or needed assistance. Also wanted to thank Juanita Tate for her diligence and rapid response to title issues with the State of Maryland. Sheehy could not have a finer pair of representatives for their dealership. More

"What an inconvenience!!! I will never purchase another vehicle from this place they told me I had to go get my own inspection done from another nissan dealership miles away wh I will never purchase another vehicle from this place they told me I had to go get my own inspection done from another nissan dealership miles away which I did and it is now pass 30days and they still do not have my hard plates ready! Their receptionist was awful because I've been calling for the past 24hrs and explained my situation more than five times to her and she continuously transferred me to an unknown voicemail then she started ignoring my calls that's when I realize they must have caller ID! I didn't even receive a courtesy call to let me know that my tags were about to expire! I have been inconvenience for work had to find other means of transportation to commute to and from VA to MD could have been pulled over by the cops and given a citation my car could have also been towed within the two weeks of driving on dead tags and didn't even know it! But what is the most upsetting is the awful customer service their General Manager Eric Greaux provided after I explain to him that I have not received my hard plates nor a courtesy call to inform me that my temps were about to expire (I'm thinking they provided 60day tags) he said there's nothing he can do other than handle this in the morning! I've been calling since yesterday afternoon!!!!!! Are you serious? How about a loaner vehicle since it's not my fault so I won't loose my job? What's the purpose of purchasing a vehicle then having to pay for registering it for MVA going through you guys if we the customers can not receive our tags on time? Their tag and titling clerk tells me she "CAN" see it in the system that the inspection has been "DONE" but she still needs to physically have it! First of all that's not my job it's yours! And second of all when did Sheehy of Nissan start making their customers drive to other Nissan dealers to do their own inspection? Plus the inspection certificate was never put in my hand from the start so why am I the one who is being put through such an inconvenience and given a hard time? If it wasn't for the only 3employees that work there who were amazingly incredible and poliet I probably would have return my vehicle cancel the deal and called "Seven on my side" so everyone can know the games they play! The only good thing they have going is those three employees providing the best customer service I've ever had in a long time!
