I had been pre-approved through my bank, yet they didn't listen to a word I said about who to finance with and with no money down. The back and forth with can you put this down, this bank is saying no - in spite of my requests. Frankly, it was so sleazy, I had to take a shower after leaving there. And before they rebut with anything - the next day I went to their sister store up in Ashland and purchased a new vehicle, with the bank I was pre-approved with, the interest rate I was provided by my bank and a seamless transaction. So the reality was they were only going to sell a car on their terms that was profitable for them, not in the best interest in the customer. So, any of you Richmond area people looking for a Ford, take the trip up to Ashland for your Ford and avoid this typical scummy car buying experience. More

Since my incident, I have read other customers from this dealer experiences and they are very similar to mine. On October 29, 2017 I reached out to Sheehy Ford of Richmond with regards to a 2017 Ford F-450. I had received notice from AutoList.com the price had dropped. On October 30, 2017 Adrien xxxxx emailed me some more details about the truck. I specifically ask if he was serious about make a deal. I had a trade, same truck different year and wanted to trade up and it was dependant on trade dollars and his dealer best pricing. On the same day he told me he was very serious and wanted my truck details asap. I complied immediately and sent VIN, Photos Odometer etc. I also agreed to purchase prior to month end. October 31, 2017 did not hear a word from Adrien xxxxx November 1, 2017 received an email from Jordan Fooks, the dealers Internet Director the price of the truck in question increased 2k in price November 1, 2017 Received an email from Adrien xxxxx, subjected “Touch Back” stating he was too busy on October 31 to deal with my truck matter but still had some questions. Wants to start fresh and play catch up. The email also stated he sent my emails but never forwarded any of them to me. November 1, 2017 the question Adrien had for me was I should consider taking my truck to the closest CarMax and selling it. Too date I have yet to receive a trade in value or start any conversation about purchasing a new truck. November 3, 2017, Adrien asked if I could call him. At that time, I could not call and still wanted him to respond to my email requests on pricing and trade values. November 5, 2017 Received an email from Calvin McHenry dealer’s internet director wanting to know if Adrien provided some pricing information on the vehicle you requested. He also asked me to please verify that I received this information. November 5, 2017, within 30 minutes I received an email from Jordan Fooks stating the truck was no longer available. I did not bother emailing Calvin back. If this dealer was not interested in working with me should have told me. Its not like this was the last 2017 F450 available. I take poor customer service very seriously. I’m also an advocate of excellent customer service and have no problem writing a review when one is deemed. I want to caution others of this dealer’s internet practices. More

The exact car I wanted wasn't on the lot, but John tried to find exactly what I wanted. In the end, it was cost prohibitive to bring a car in from another dealership so I went with what was in stock. As it turns out, I'm glad I did. I love my new car! Everyone at Sheehy was friendly and easy to work with. My only complaint is that I thought I was saving time by applying for Ford Credit online before arriving only to find that it wasn't until I arrived that the Finance Department actually processed the credit application. That extended the actual car-buying experience an additional hour + which was inconvenient, but still all in all it was a great experience. More

He never pressured us and was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions. He found us the beautiful brand new Mustang that we were hoping for! Excellent customer service!
