My husband and I ended up being in the market for a car after one of our children totalled our vehicle. We were very undecided about new vs. used and came in several times to test drive a new Ford Focus, after one of our children totalled our vehicle. We were very undecided about new vs. used and came in several times to test drive a new Ford Focus, a new Fiesta and a used 2012 Focus Hatchback. We don't like the car buying process at all. We were feeling rather stressed about a tight timeline since we only had one vehicle. Matt Miller sent me several quotes on some options before we ever came in. When we did come to take a look, he was very patient with all of our questions and the numerous test drives that we took. Rex Dix spent one of the evenings with us driving all of the vehicles again to try to help make our decision. Although we would have liked to buy a brand new vehicle, buying a used 2012 Focus Hatchback was the right choice for us. It was practically new and had a certified pre-owned warranty availalbe with it. It allowed us to purchase a car that would be suitable for our college and high school kids to drive without feeling like we invested more than we really wanted to at the time. Rex and Matt were very patient and helpful throughout the entire process. When it came time to make our final decision, they were willing to negotiate and we were able to close on something that we really like. The financial part of the process was handled very well by John Howard and he worked out a good finance package and extended warranty choice for us. More

He delivered the car to my home and spent time explaining all about my new Fusion. He was very, very patient. I would recommend Sheehy Ford and especially Josh Shepard unconditionally. Only disappointment is the the new VIP plan is scaling back and does not include car washes. I was very pleased to have that before from Sheehy and always left from the dealership knowing that my car was serviced well and on top of that was clean - now only hopefully get the good service. William though is great - definitely work with him if you are in the new car buying market! More
We have been thinking of buying a new car and since we had a Volkswagon, we were looking at the TDI diesel engines for economic reasons. After seeing the commercial for the new 2013 Fusion Hybrid we researched the options we wanted at the Sheehy Ford website. We drove to the Sheehy location in Midlothian and there met Jonathan Thompson. We weren't pounced on when we drove in the lot (a pet peeve ours) but were given the time to browse. Jonathan was very knowledgeable not only with the Ford vehicles but Hybrids in general. We knew very little about hybrids and how they worked. Jonathan was great. He actually made us excited about driving the car for the first time. Our entire experience at Sheehy was great and look forward to our continued relationship with Sheehy. More

My wife and I stopped by Sheehy Richmond (I live in Midlothian) January 19th to begin my search for a replacement vehicle for my Taurus that had just been totaled in an accident. I had purchased my last two vehicles from Sheehy Ashland (where I work) so I was comfortable with Sheehy and felt it was the best place to start. Within a few minutes we met Kevin Lomax. He is one of those people that is so friendly and likable that he puts you at ease and is a joy to work with. Kevin listened to me and my concerns and then guided us to appropriate options fitting our needs and preferences. We settled on a beautiful 2012 vehicle in imaculate condition that had only been leased originally for about 6 months and had less than 12,000 mile on it. It was already prices by Sheehy well below the blue book retail value but Kevin worked with me patiently until we agreed on a lower price I was very happy with. I had not intended to purchase a vehicle that day but I was so comfortable with the dealership and with Kevin in particular that we were able to close the deal. I would not recommend this dealership nor would I ever go through them again. They messed up my vehicle type twice which caused me to be there for over 7 hours just waiting. Saying "I don't know how this could have happened, and I'm sorry" is not enough for the stress. After sitting for the 7 plus hours, I returned the following Monday to get my car detailed and sprayed since it was after 8 when I got the car, and they said it would take over 4 hours, which I was told would take only 2. Needless to say, if you want your time wasted and just be pulled around, then this is the dealership for you. The only plus is the finance guy Phil. He is the only one who seems like he knows what he is doing. More

My usual experience in car sale lots is the person wants to know how much you can spend first and then make you feel like you are just a sale. Kevin made us feel so comfortable and welcome. He was very patient, especially with me. I went there having a particular idea of what I wanted and he worked with me through it all explaining the pros and cons of different styles and models and helped me focus on what i really needed and what would benefit me the most. It was new years day and they were very busy, but no one seemed frustrated or in a hurry, everyone was making everyone feel like they were being put first. We did have to wait quite a while before meeting our business person...I am sorry I forgot his name, but he was so nice too. Kevin took the 4 hours waiting we had and made it go by fast with gentle conversation, even sharing his personal stash of snacks with us. We also both shared pictures of our families and by the end of it, we felt like we had made a new friend. I had to take my new car back a few days later for the appearance package to be applied and saw Kevin then and he remembered me and called me by name, I gave him a hug, proving we did make a new friend. I have already recommended Kevin and Sheehy to many people...because they love my car so much. I couldnt be anymore happy with my time at Sheehy and my new "baby" focus. I love it! Matt Love was excellent in every way - he was courteous, cooperative and caring. He tried desperately to make the transaction go as smoothly and as quickly as possible, which we truly appreciated. We also want to thank the gentleman whom we had the financial dealings with. He knew we were in a hurry also and did his very best to accommodate us. We were totally satisfied with our purchase at Sheehy and will definitely keep you in mind when we are looking for another vehicle. Thank you very much.
