great! no hassles This experience was one of the best ones I have had buying a new car. There were no surprises, no pressure, no haggling. Just straight up information. This experience was one of the best ones I have had buying a new car. There were no surprises, no pressure, no haggling. Just straight up information. And after the sale was made, the customer service, how to use the features of the new car, was to me, over and above. Most of the time buying a new car equated to looking forward to a surgery. Not here, not this time. More

We bought a 2014 last week and found out on our first drive their was no compass in the mirror. They want $3-500 to switch the mirrow which is obscene. Also, Annette told me I was a very high risk for Homeland Security. She refused to get another report or help in correcting the mistake. The loan was approved anyway but when I called Transunion the following Monday I was told their were no negatives on my credit report and the score Annette gave was wrong. I called back but she was "too busy" to get another report. Finally, they were to switch my hitch but reneged because they said the hitch was too heaby and to install it "would void your warranty." Kelley and Alan were frenetic if not hysterical with my wife about the terrible hitch we had and made her feel horrible. It is a 2" hitch which had been on my 2011 Subaru for 4 years. Kelley said the Subaru was rated for only 1800# and I needed a Subaru hitch which they would put on for $600. They also were going to keep my old hitch until I insisted I wanted it returned. In fact the Outback is rated for 2700# which requires a 2" hitch. Any of the new tear drop light weight trailers requiire a 2" hitch. Even my bike rack requires a 2" hitch! So I suppose I'll pay to have someone else reinstall my old hitch and get my free oil changes but have the car otherwise serviced somewhere else. We have owned 4-5 Outbacks over the years but this will be my last one, at least at this dealership unless they apologize to my wife and correct the situation to our satisfaction. The Outback is a great car but this experience has been horrible. Bad vibes all around! Since my review above the manager has agreed to swap mirrors and I'm on my own to move the after market hitch which I'm OK with. They apparently do make a 1 1/4" hitch which is rated for 3500# and you can put a 2" ball on it, but they don't offer electric brakes and were freaked out when they saw mine. Simply put, modern trailers use electric brakes so we're back to the same circuitous arguments. They say my after market 2" hitch comprises the structural integrity and I say the 1 1/4"" hitch is in adequate for pulling trailers of any weight, and putting a 2" ball on it violates the manual. If they think any electrical problems, etc., may be due to my hitch they can deny the warranty which to me is a cop out. My after market installer says this is a common situation, to frighten the consumer into buying an over priced factory hitch and to use any other decision as an excuse to punish the consumer for daring to purchase after market products. by denying their warranty. I have decided to stay with my 2" hitch for safety purposes so I'll feel more secure about towing and won't have to buy another bike rack. The manager was reasonable and aimed to please an old customer so I'm generally satisfied with the process if not the initial overreaction. We'll see if warranty matters become an issue. if you want to tow a modern trailer like the tear drop T@B, remember it takes electric brakes which apparently aren't available with Subaru. I use Truck Trends which knows what they're doing and make me feel better about towing. I like the strength of a 2" hitch with side winds, trucks, etc. Make your own informed decision. WFM More

Not only do they do the typical checks, but also alert me ahead of time to things that I may need later and provide an accurate estimate. On my most recent visit I had a tire rotation, and they discovered a small leak from a nail and fixed it free of charge! They do not over-sell and I trust them. The Service staff is so great and easy to work with, it is always a pleasure doing business with them. More

Unfortunately, this dealer was the only dealer in the state that had the car with the color and options that I wanted on a Legacy. They refused to do a dealer trade with my local dealer so I contacted them and arranged to buy it from them. I really wanted to come down on Saturday, but the GM said he needed the car off his lot before the end of the month. I reluctantly agreed and put down my deposit and made arrangements to pick it up on Tuesday. Prior to picking it up, I found another car with the same options and called to cancel the transaction at Champaign County and get my deposit back. The GM insisted it was non-refundable, well brush up on your Consumer Protection Laws prior to going here, because I found out that because I did not sign a contract it IS REFUNDABLE!! It is illegal for them to keep a deposit if no contract is signed!!! I did not find this out until after I made the 100 mile trek down there to pick it up in a horrible storm. And they would not even throw in a cargo mat or all-weather mats to show their appreciation for me taking this car off their lot for April (since it had been sitting there with no interest since March). Definitely did not feel like a valued customer by this dealership! More

Never have enjoyed the experience, until this time. All the people at Subaru of Champaign County were great to work with. I felt like I was getting a great car at a good price. They had exactly what i was looking for on the lot. There was literally no hard sell or pressure to buy the vehicle. The quality of the vehicles are easy to research on line and I was sure of what I was purchasing. They even offer a 3 year oil change and tire rotation for free. It isn't anything they get paid back for from Subaru. I can tell already the service I will be getting will be good and a fair price. More
