I always buy & service Honda vehicles from Serre Honda. But now no more because they charge 3% on credit cards. I need to find another service from a dealer or no longer buy Honda. I had my car in for routine brake maintenance and drove extra far to go to this dealership because they had such a good price for standard pad and rotor resurfacing job. About an hour in, the person wh extra far to go to this dealership because they had such a good price for standard pad and rotor resurfacing job. About an hour in, the person who did my intake came over to me to share their "findings." They claimed the alignment on the car was so bad that their machine couldn't even measure my car in addition to an assortment of other "needed" items totaling almost $900. Interestingly, I had my oil and transmission fluid changed at my regular dealership just the week before and they did a multipoint inspection that revealed nothing needed except the hatch wiper blade. My regular dealership even went as far as to say that it was a little early to do the brakes as they measured them at 5mm and normally you can go to 4mm. They showed that the alignment was well within spec as well. So I told the intake person at Serra all of this and suddenly there was a lot of back peddling. I was told their alignment machine is a little bit "finicky" and that after looking again the brake fluid looked OK etc. I declined all the extra "needed" services and asked how much longer it would be. They said about an hour which was about right. The price for the brake job was honored although I had to correct them about that too at one point. And although they advertise complimentary car wash with all service, they didn't ask me if I wanted a wash and they didn't run my car through. So based on this experience I will likely not return to this dealership in the future. Offering low prices so you can try to coerce people into more or additional repairs seems like bad business to me and I don't want to reward that kind of dishonesty. Also interestingly, after being specifically asked to verify all my information, I received no follow-up email or text asking about the service or how it went. I also plan to send the 2 different multipoint inspection reports to Honda Corporate to see if they can figure out what is at the heart of the quality control issue given this car is a low milage vehicle that was in these dealerships a week apart. The Honda is always helpful and courteous. There have been times when my car needed something additional. It's frustrating, yes, but they always present me with options for what is most important to address. I appreciate that! I am also aware that they are the messengers, they don't cause the issue. xxxx happens, its not their fault. They tell me about it and if it needs to be addressed at that time or can wait. I like that. Thanks again! More
TLDR: Terrible service department, car had to go back too many times, had my car way too long. Made an appointment for my Accord on a Saturday as there was a few problems needing addressed. Unfortunately, many times, had my car way too long. Made an appointment for my Accord on a Saturday as there was a few problems needing addressed. Unfortunately, during the week, my alternator went out so I called and made an appointment for the next day. Ended up having it towed through my AAA. We got a text message link for the inspection and estimate of work needing done. We told them to do EVERYTHING (found out afterwards they didn't include stuff) and paid nearly $2k down payment for almost $4k worth of work. They told us they were waiting for parts that had just arrived, but it should be done late Friday or early Saturday. We were told this early Friday morning. After no word I called at noon Saturday. The guy had no idea what was going on with it and the service advisor for my vehicle was not working that day. The guy working supposedly looks and says oh we are waiting for parts that looks like they are coming Tuesday. I said no, we spoke with Bobby and he confirmed everything came in the previous day and that it would be ready early Saturday at the latest. He said he would try to get it going to call back in a few hours and seemed annoyed. I called at 4:45 since they close at 6 and we live 30 min away give or take with traffic and it was storming horribly. They said they were doing brakes, had to do alignment and take it for a test drive. We make it by about 530 and they're still working on it. Once it was done the guy literally drove it immediately around the building back into the garage, not even a little cruise through the entire lot. That was the test drive. My fiancee got in and pulled it around. As soon as he pulled it out they shut the doors and turned off the lights. So he pulls up by me and it's making a terrible noise it never made. Since it was storming and we had our son we decide to get it home to the garage to look at is since we clearly couldn't talk with Honda. Get it home to find power steering fluid everywhere, with no sign of a leak. According to their own inspection, nothing was wrong with my power steering when it went in. I called back and kept getting the run around and them telling me to get it towed again. I'm not paying for a tow for something we clearly didn't do. Finally he says use our towing for now and we will see if you owe... They get it back and just change o rings and said it was good and no cost. Got it home and it was fine. Next morning on a cold start it's doing it again. So we take it back up there. Now suddenly my power steering pump is no good. And it needs ordered. Which took another few days and another $700 plus. I finally get to go get it for the last time and find it absolutely filthy from sitting outside in all the storms for a week. They have a car wash in the service department and couldn't even run it through for all of the hassle and gas wasted going back and forth. Not only that, but according to my bill they checked and topped off my fluids, yet my windshield washer fluid was bone dry. We had to go to a car wash to clean it since I could barely see through the spots and filth from the storms. We had to make way too many calls to find out status updates, and then to find out at the end that my front tires are super low on tread which they marked on the inspection but never put on the estimate or bill when we said do everything that needed done. This is a very well maintained vehicle that has been garaged since it was first ever purchased, brand new. We had taken it to Meyer for years without issue even before it was in my name. In total they had my car or we couldn't use it from Wednesday night to Friday the follow week. Extremely dissatisfied and will find another dealership. Way too many issues for 'one' visit. The entire service department was all over. We got transferred so many times and left on hold when trying to see what was going on with it. More
Awful customer service. Do not tell you the right amount to pay. Be ready to always pay more. Also they fix whatever they want without authorization and they charge you later. to pay. Be ready to always pay more. Also they fix whatever they want without authorization and they charge you later. More

They found nothi Sometime in May, I brought my car in to have the front end check out due to excessive road noise coming from the driver's side wheel. They found nothing. However , the ball joint in the right wheel had shown wear, and I was given a dramatic explanation on why I should get it fix right then and now. The scare tactic, you bet. At that point I was informed that they usually replace both at the same time at the customers expense. At that point, they showed me the play within the ball joint. I figured, I was there, why not get it done. The other side was fine. I was also scheduled to have the A/C checked for leaks, and possible fill. There were no leaks, and it was slightly low. So instead of just filling it, they empty the system and apply new refrigerate. Sure, this way they can charge the customer more money But what really set me off, is telling me that the oil pressure switch is leaking towards the end of the visit. This is a switch that is located near the oil filter. They asked me if I smell burning oil, or oil droplets on the garage floor. The answer was no. So the following day, I decided to perform my own oil change. The switch was clean as can be, with no signs of leakage. I have also taken a picture of this switch. This Oil Pressure Switch/ Sender would have cost me $80.00, and $100 for labor. Since I had to leave my car there over night, the service manager promised to take a photo of the switch. He never did. After reviewing the diagram of the complete system on HondaParts dot com, there are only two oil switches. The diagram falls under Oil Pump/ Oil Strainer V6. Another issue is the service department is too presumptuous. They already had created an pre-invoice with all the things they thought needed to be repaired without checking with me first. This caused a problem with the final invoice. I have spent a lot of money as this dealership's service/ parts department(s). Primary when it was Meyer Honda. But it's done. I will not "trust" Serra Honda. My suggestion, when a dealership tells you there is something wrong with your car, get a second opinion. Just as you would if you were diagnosed with Cancer. You'll be saving yourself money. More
