You want to get a "One call does it all" salesman like this when your dealing with getting the right car and driving 400 miles. From getting pictures of the undercarriage to high lighting any and every minute detail there could be about the car in question. No haggle best price and a 2 year power train warranty. No doubt was left in my mind when I left for my six hour drive that I was making the right decision to purchase from Serpentini Chevrolet. I was a little nervous that there was a bait and switch coming as I drove up to the dealership. But when Xavier came out and greeted us and reassured us that everything was taken care of we settled down. We actually began to enjoy the experience that is buying a car from Serpentini Chevrolet. They had a minor hiccup with the check I brought from my credit union but that was immediately taken care of by Brandon Fulep. He's their finance manger and numbers guru. He actually got me a better rate too. I can't thank these two gentleman enough for an absolutely great experience. I know for a fact I will be checking back in the future for any other car I'm interested in. Very respectfully, Douglas W. Thornton More

This young man was extremely respectful, honest and professional. Not once was I made to feel pressured or mislead in any way. He was transparent with me throughout the entire car buying experience. The entire Serpentini support team who assisted me that afternoon, Mario Tibaldi, Matt Minyard and Jon, were amazing! Unforgettable customer support experience, thank you Serpentini! More

Found the car I was looking for at Serpentini Chevrolet in Strongsville, filled out the credit app received a call within an hour and then was placed in touch with Jason Croasmun to complete the sale. It was smooth sailing from there, Jason went over everything in detail, all features of the vehicle, financing & warranty. I was in no rush to take my new car home, however the car was delivered the same day (within hours). I never felt pressured by anyone during the pre-sale like i have at other dealerships. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and overall experience at Serpentini Chevrolet. Jason Keep up the great work. Don More

He was not impatient, It was more like shopping with a friend. Today he stood outside in the 90 degree heat while I checked over the car, again. He was not pushy, he did not hound me with phone calls, yet, he was very helpful and responsive when I needed answers. More

When I arrived a young salesman (David Fontenez) approached my husband & I. I told him I was pre-approved . I gave him a list of approx. 7 types of cars that I was interested in. He proceeded to work with Willis Tabron (Finance Mgr) regarding how much car I qualified for. No one paid any attention to list I provided. It was like Abbott & Costello & who's on first. By this time, Willis attempted to shove two cars at me...a cheap Chevy Captiva & a Chevy Equinox, which neither was on my list of cars I wanted. Willis suggested we test drive the Equinox. By this time its late in the day & getting dark. I decided that we'd test drive the Equinox. My husband thought he heard a noise, so we decided against the car. I told David (Fontenez) the next morning that I didn't think we would get the Equinox. I told him that I didn't like the way Willis was talking to us & that in Willis's attempt to get us in something, no matter what...he didn't care what we wanted. I told David to find another finance person for us to work with no matter how long the car search took because I had two vehicles & wasn't in a rush. Three weeks go by & after seeing that the Equinox price was reduced $1100. I called David back & told him to get the numbers together. David didn't know who I was, so he couldn't possibly be working on any other vehicles for me based on the list of cars that I'd given him. David said that I'd have to bring my vehicle back in so that they could re-evaluate it because it had been a while, so that they could check the mileage again, which made no sense. My husband didn't want to go because he said he smelled some bull cooking. I convinced to go back to the dealership with me. I was told by David to come at 9:15 am on Saturday. We get there & David called off sick....met with Brandon McCray. Brandon got dragged in at the end without any knowledge of any prior conversations previously discussed with David & Willis. Willis steered the entire process from the beginning. Even after I told David I didn't want to deal with Willis ever again...who do you think was calculating figures on my potential deal....Willis! Remember Willis is the one that suggested we test drive the Equinox because I qualified for it based on the payment range I wanted to maintain. At Brandon's suggestion, we test drove the vehicle again, per Brandon "to make sure it was running okay". At 1:00 in the afternoon, we're still at Serpentini. The next thing I know, they're speaking about a $500 down payment, payments of close to $600 month, for the same vehicle that Willis Tabron said I qualified for at $400 month. I don't know where they found Willis at but they need to send him packing to learn his craft. The next clown that entered the ring was Don Nicol (Mgr). He said I was trying to buy too much car based on my credit. I told him that Willis was the one that basically said I qualified for the Equinox. Don joked about it as though to patronize me & said he got on Willis about it. Don offered me to look at the web site & pick out something cheap. By this time, it's late afternoon. I told Don to find my car keys....I wanted to leave. He said he "let" me leave. It was a bait & switch type of operation & the final call was the rope a dope type ending. I'm 57 years old & have bought numerous cars through-out my life & have never ever experienced such a fiasco as this. I've never been treated so poorly, humiliated & lied to so badly as Serpentini did, out of all the car buying experiences I've had before. I will never ever do business with any Serpentini dealership again. Nor do I suggest anybody else deal with Serpentini. The owner in the commercial needs to pay closer attention to who's representing him at his dealerships. The type of service he's presenting at his dealership is certainly not a "Proud American". If that's the case, American has gone to xxxx in a handbag. I felt so bad when I left, all I could do was fight back the tears but shed a few when I got in my car. The good news is I went to Ganley Chevrolet on Brookpark & was hooked up with a brand new 2016 Equinox with 13 miles on it within the payment I wanted! Ganley treated me like a queen. Everyone I met & dealt with was exceptional! More

He refused (service writer) to take care of my warranty work. I asked to see a manager & he wanted to know why? Acting Service Manger, irritated already so I said I came in to complain to him about the way his writer talked & treated me. He said I already told him to tell you to take it back to the selling dealership. He & his acting manager for the day told me & my car to get off his property. I wonder if Mr Serpentini knows that he doesn't own the property anymore? After a few choice words I was leaving until I decided to tell the General Manager. Matt was very polite & said he would follow up on Monday when the Service director get back. Regardless of how this works out-Do yourself a favor & go elsewhere to another Chevy dealer More
"Lying to the customer...and proud of it!" Unfortunately, this has been the worst buying experience we have ever encountered. We were mislead and disrespected nearly every step of the way. It Unfortunately, this has been the worst buying experience we have ever encountered. We were mislead and disrespected nearly every step of the way. It started with our first visit to Serpentini Chevrolet in Strongsville where we met with Jon Kostandaras. While friendly and courteous, Jon refused to answer our questions via email, instead insisting we come to the dealership for the answers. A week or so later, we stopped by the Serpentini Chevrolet to meet with Samantha Shemple, who followed up on a Kelley Blue Book offer to buy our car. Unfortunately, even though we mentioned this when we arrived, no one went to get her and we were redirected to Josh Channell, who initially seemed interested in helping us find a vehicle. Unfortunately, this took a turn for the worse after we became a more interested in a vehicle. We were at the dealership with our young children and repeatedly mentioned that we needed to leave soon because it was getting late. Josh, and the gentleman he introduced as his manager, Willis Tabron, wouldn’t let up. They refused to offer us the amount for our vehicle even though Samantha Shemple said, “This is the minimal price that is offered and we may be willing to pay you more for your vehicle. We are very serious about buying your vehicle TODAY!” The only good to come out of this meeting was that we had tentatively agreed to a price, pending additional information I was to call about the next day. After calling Josh the next day and unable to come up with the information, Josh checked with “my manager” and assured me that we could proceed with the deal and to come back to the dealership that afternoon. Before we ended the call, I confirmed two things with Josh, 1. That the deal would proceed according to the tentative price offered the day before and 2. That all numbers would be fully explained to me prior to proceeding any further. I also asked that we proceed with the transaction in a timely manner. We set a time of 4pm on Friday, March 25th. When we arrived at our set time we were greeted by a 30 minute delay. When Josh finally met with us, he said the paperwork was being worked on. I reminded him of our conversation earlier that day about the price and explanation of the numbers and he said we’d discuss it soon and walked away. After another 30-40 minute wait, Josh told us the finance manager, Kara Lee Rundle, was ready to discuss everything with us. After being introduced to her, she said she had nothing to do with the pricing, nor explanation of the numbers and that it was already written up. The price was over $2,200 more than our agreement! Further, Ms. Rundle boasted about how much business Serpentini Chevrolet did with the finance companies and, basically, that we were just a number. She also told us she was on the phone with the finance company for 20 minutes trying to get us a top finance rating. Since I have an 817 credit rating, I can’t comprehend why she had to work so hard at it. I also would assume this call to the finance company would fall under her job responsibility. So, in essence she was bragging to us that she was doing her job! At this point, after being lied to and disrespected by virtually everyone from Serpentini Chevrolet, the prospective joy that should come with bringing home a new vehicle was ruined. My wife and I were totally disappointed, our kids were crying and we should have turned and walked away at that point. Josh told us he was disappointed we felt that way and would do anything to get a “completely satisfied” grade on his survey. I explained that he probably should have thought of that before he lied to and disrespected us. He further insulted us by offering us a free oil change in return for a “completely satisfied” grade! The next step in the process was with Terry who was responsible for reviewing the operation of the vehicle. Although I felt she did an inadequate job at this, I couldn’t tell because she had a strong odor of smoke and cheap perfume and I was more concerned of her smelling up my new car than anything she had to say about the vehicle. After leaving the dealership, there was no follow up or apology from any of Serpentini Chevrolet’s representatives. In fact, the only correspondence was from Josh Channell who texted that our trade in was to be wholesaled. I waited over two weeks to complete this survey in hopes that someone from Serpentini Chevrolet would contact us to apologize and try to offer compensation or at least an explanation for their actions. The silence coming from Serpentini Chevrolet was deafening to us and solidifies our feelings on this dealership. In our employment we interact with many people each day in Serpentini Chevrolet’s demographics and will make it a point to relay our experience to anyone in the market for a vehicle. More
