Service Department Your service department did absolutely lousy, once again! Many things wrong on this visit. Took my vehicle in for an oil change and complimentary tire Your service department did absolutely lousy, once again! Many things wrong on this visit. Took my vehicle in for an oil change and complimentary tire rotation because you didn't rotate them last time I had my truck in there, which I had paid for. It took an hour and a half to change the oil and do the routine checks, not knowing at this time the tires had not been rotated. Service brought the truck out and my wife drove it to an appointment she had, not having time to check the tires because of the long wait for an oil change. It is there she checked the tires because she marked one of them to make sure the work was done. It was then she noticed the tires were not rotated, once again! I can see an hour and a half to change oil do routine checks and rotate the tires, but just for an oil change and check the vehicle over, come on. So my wife went back to the dealership and talked to the person at the service counter. He couldn't explain why the work had not been done, but took the truck back and had them do it then. He took the oil change off the bill so we owed nothing for that visit, which was nice, but seriously, 2 visits and 2 times your service department did NOT do the work expected and paid for the first time. I'm wondering now if the work was done on our other car that we had taken in the day before for the same service, oil change and tire rotation. We forgot to mark the tires, that's our fault, but we shouldn't have to do that. I'm also wondering how many times this goes on in your service department since we as customers can't see the work being done. So, overall your service department is a big disappointment to me once again. I will be looking elsewhere for service, and probably purchase of our next vehicles. Social media will have a field day with this. More

Getting Screwed Bought a car from this dealership and was told it is a good solid car and in as little as 2 years it has completely fallen apart. Went to a mechanic Bought a car from this dealership and was told it is a good solid car and in as little as 2 years it has completely fallen apart. Went to a mechanic for general work and he said that the front bushing came loose and rubbed a hole in my sub frame. Went back to Serpentini and showed them the problem they sent it to their service tech and he came back with a list of stuff costing me $484 in work. Went to pick up the car and the sub frame was still cracked got an "oops we missed it" attitude. After a couple of hours of arguing over how did this happen they came back with another $505 quote to fix the problem they missed in the first place. I knew that when I saw the sub frame not fixed I would end up having to pay out the wazoo for the fix. Asked to speak with Bob Serpentini and was basically told I was not allowed. What kind of company screws up and makes the customer pay for their screw up? Serpentini Chevrolet that is who. More

On 1/5/2012 took my '01 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport to Orrville Serpentini for a LOF and Tire Rotation. Afterward, I was told by service adviser (John Camp) that the mechanic (Richard Smith) said my vehi Orrville Serpentini for a LOF and Tire Rotation. Afterward, I was told by service adviser (John Camp) that the mechanic (Richard Smith) said my vehicle needs a new serpentine belt and a new belt tensioner and gave a quote of $212.00 plus tax for the repair. It was put in writing on my bill. I refused to have the repair done because of my past experience at this dealership. On 2/8/2012 I took my vehicle to a DIFFERENT repair center that does service work only and had the top mechanic check it out. He actually took the serpentine belt off and checked the belt tensioner. He said everything worked fine with the belt tensioner and the belt did not need replaced. He said the belt did not even have any cracks in it. On 2/27/2012 I took my vehicle back to Orrville Serpentini and questioned the service advisor (John Camp) and the mechanic (Richard Smith) why I needed a new serpentine belt and belt tensioner. The mechanic inspected my vehicle and couldn't tell my why it needed replaced. He said all he knows is that he must have heard a noise. I questioned the service advisor and mechanic why they would tell me I needed those parts replaced JUST because they heard a noise. They were both adamant that they wouldn't have told me I needed those parts replaced if they hadn't needed them replaced. The mechanic said he must have seen something wobbling. Now here's the kicker: They were STILL adamant about it and refused to admit they made a mistake after I told them I took my vehicle to a DIFFERENT repair garage and the mechanic thoroughly inspected both parts and said they did NOT need to be replaced. At this point I realized I was wasting my time talking with these guys so I just left. This is now the SECOND time that I have had a vehicle of mine at THIS dealership for a LOF and was told I needed repair work done that I was afterward told by another mechanic at another garage was NOT needed. After writing this review, I was promptly left a message by the general manager of the business asking me to return his call--which I did. He insisted that his company did not do anything wrong and that it was simple a case of miscommunication and misunderstanding--mostly on my part. Right. What is there to misunderstand about Serpentini saying I needed significant repairs done (and writing so on my bill for a LOF and tire rotation) and then having another mechanic at another business thoroughly inspect the parts in question and then tell me those parts do NOT need to be replaced? The general manager's biggest concern seemed to be how I would be able to change this unfavorable review to a more favorable one since I had already sent it in. I also spoke with the service manager of the business. Initially, she also insisted that this was all just a case of miscommunication and misunderstanding. However, she finally did admit that there were mistakes made on their end and she offered me a free oil change to put the whole matter behind us. The bottom line (and whole point of this review) is that if you take your vehicle to Orrville Serpentini for a LOF and they tell you that you need significant repairs done that you were unaware beforehand needed done, it is in the best interest of your pocketbook to get a second opinion from another mechanic at another business BEFORE having Orrville Serpentini do the work.
