I am an engineer, so I approached the purchase of a new vehicle from a very unemotional and [almost] impersonal perspective. For that reason I shopped many dealers through the Internet, establishing relationships through email communication and occasional phone conversations. My relationship with Mark Dalton was always relaxed and comfortable. He never made me feel like he was "selling" me something. One other BIG NAME dealer in Central Florida was my first choice (based on a CMMI DAR worksheet I had developed for the purpose of deciding). My warm relationship with Mark led me to extend to him the courtesy of a phone call to say, "I had decided to do business with someone else. Thanks for the great interpersonal relationship". But, true to their advertising, Mark went to 'David' to get confirmation that they could earn my business by matching all the criteria in my DAR that had listed the other dealership as my first choice. Top among them was an outstanding financing rate. But that was not the end. During the experience of ordering the vehicle and later finalizing the transaction, Mike Santangelo along with EVERY EMPLOYEE IN THE CHAIN truly made me feel important; very special. I really did not feel like just a big walking dollar sign - like so many auto dealerships tend to portray. Everyone of the numerous employees, rushing about in the huge David Maus facility on Rinehart Road, seems to honestly recognize the value of a customer. They act as though their job depends upon my satisfaction. I entered the process of purchasing a car with no prejudice or emotion. I was not influenced at all by advertising or rumor. After spending time with several dealers in my area, I was completely taken aback by the fantastic attitude all the David Maus employees share. You will be doing yourself a disservice if you do not consider David Maus. For a Toyota, be sure to visit the great facility in Sandford (where the service department even has a small eatery and coffee shop!). Immediately ask to see Mark Dalton or Mike Santangelo and reference THIS REVIEW for the best service you will get anywhere! More

I brought my pre-owned certified car in and wanted a new one and Glen knew who to go to right away. David Jr. made me feel like part of a family and went to great lengths to make sure I was satisfied before I left the dealership. Oral in finance made the experience as painless as it could be (let's face it, we are talking about money here LOL) I feel like I got a great deal on my Camry because we were able to stay in my budget and David and his crew really felt that was as important as I did. the dealership is spotless from showroom to service area, and most importantly, everyone I dealt with knew their job and knew it well. Not only that, they were all happy! this is my 3rd car buying experience with David Maus and I would never go to anyone else. Also, remember, if you do not want a Toyota, David can get you in a great Chevrolet! More
Overall I have a very positive experience. I was in the market for a new car and got other dealers' offers; however, I was pressure almost to the point of harrasment by these dealers. I went to David Maus market for a new car and got other dealers' offers; however, I was pressure almost to the point of harrasment by these dealers. I went to David Maus and Matt was very friendly and not "pushy". All the information provided by them was accurate and did not change during the sales process. Kudos to the David Maus' team; of course they will try to sale you everything but if you are open, clear, and know what you want, they will help you get there with a reasonable business. I would buy a car again from them. Thank you Matt and thanks for David Maus. More
After much research and the 5th Toyota dealership we visited, David Maus Toyota and his staff did exactly what he advertises, “Whatever it takes” and “We will not lose a customer over price.” The sales visited, David Maus Toyota and his staff did exactly what he advertises, “Whatever it takes” and “We will not lose a customer over price.” The sales staff was professional and friendly as well as being willing to work with us on meeting our requirements for a purchase. There were plenty vehicles in stock to choose from. Matt, the salesman, as well as the sales manager, Tim, did go the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied with the condition/cleanliness of the vehicle even though they were there for delivery two hours after closing. It was a very pleasant and friendly experience and we would recommend this dealership to our friends and family. Thank you Matt and Tim from the Wood family. More
It was a pleasent experience. Everyone was very nice. It did not take all day. I really wanted to buy, but a lease was more affordable for me. The car is nice and rides very well. This was hands-down the most pleasant and hassle-free experience I have EVER had with a car dealership. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to my needs, questions, and concerns. Buying a experience I have EVER had with a car dealership. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to my needs, questions, and concerns. Buying a new car has never been quite so painless. Matt went above and beyond to make sure I got the car that I wanted for a price I could afford. There may be other Toyota dealerships closer to where I live, but David Maus is more than worth the drive. More
Having researched the FJ Cruiser for 3 months, we did our on-line research and came ready to make a cash purchase. The MSRP apparently rose from mid-$28,000 to $34,000 as a result of the tsunami. My on-line on-line research and came ready to make a cash purchase. The MSRP apparently rose from mid-$28,000 to $34,000 as a result of the tsunami. My on-line research resulted in a Fair Market Offer (essentially invoice + 5%) of $26,500. The vehicle I was interested in had some additional package items and I adjusted my offer accordingly. When I made my offer I was asked upon what basis I had arrived at the amount. I told them Edmunds.com, (Kelly Blue Book and USAA) - and was told that "Edmunds doesn't sell cars, we do." As if on-line research is not of value to the customer - only to the dealer. The finance manager then informed us that Toyota had lowered their quotas and that DMT had already made it's quota for the month - and that people were basically coming in and paying full MSRP sticker price because of the anticipated decrease in supply of the FJ Cruiser in coming months. The allusion was that the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan allowed them to raise the price almost $6,000 to profit off the misfortune of 10,000s of Japanese people. If was very off-putting to say the least. Now, with what we perceived to be a condescending and slightly arrogant attitude - we will definitely NOT be buying from David Maus Toyota and probably won't ever buy a Toyota product. DMT claims they will never lose a customer over price - they just did - and also because of their attitude. (Did I mention that they wanted us to sign a commitment to buy statement when we entered the showroom? My commitment to buy was the 3 months of research I did, the cash I had ready to spend and my butt in a chair of the DMT showroom. I am not signing any commitment to buy a car before the dealership even puts a number out beyond the MSRP.) More
