I walked into the dealership knowing what I wanted and looking to test drive before doing more comparison shopping. Scott met me out front with the keys in his hand, and off we went. Being a female shopping alone can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. I've bought several cars in my life, so I was wary and made sure I had done all my research and documented specific items such as dealer add-ons, fees, etc. Their straightforward answers to my questions made me much more comfortable with the whole process. I felt that they gave me a fair value for my trade in, which I had expected to be more of a hassle. All the information I requested was promptly provided to me via e-mail; the sticker, the invoice, and explanation of fees. Everyone was personable, neat, and friendly. I had outside financing, so I can't speak to the financing process other than to say I was not pressured to purchase add ons such as warranties - I only had to say "no" once, which was refreshing. The only negative part of the experience was that an additional charge for dealer tinting was subsequently added on to the agreed upon price - this was almost a deal breaker for me, just on principle. However, they immediately rectified the situation and removed the charge. I was working with another dealership that did not have the exact model I wanted in stock, but would have ordered it for me. I could have gotten it for a few hundred dollars less, but it really wasn't worth nickel and diming such a minor difference, especially since I got to take immediate possession of the vehicle. Kevin did a great job of explaining all the features of my new car to me. Buying a car has always been a process I dread - like preparing for battle, and knowing my negotiating positions and strategies. This experience was definitely different, in a positive way. More

When trying to agree on a price we had Dufass ignorant Shawn working with us. I never had a sales rep in any dealership treat us the way he did. Rolling his eyes and breathing hard at things we said. Came in to get a recall checked and was very impressed with everyone's work and the overall atmosphere. They are very professional and make sure the customer is satisfied. Since the recall on my wife's car did not include my part version and replacement was not necessary, I let them do an oil change and tire rotation and later in the day returned with my car to do another oil change. Great buying experience if you know what car you want up front. All staff are friendly and sales department did not promise to earn my business like a typical dealer, they just sold me a car instead. I went in to purchase my first new car. My husband is the son of a GM retiree which is why we chose to go David Maus first. From the moment we parked and started walking into the showroom we were offered cold beverages, greeted and made right at home. They had the keys ready for the car I was looking for to test drive. Kevin went with us on the drive and gave us not only the details on the car itself, but was also very personable. It didn't feel like a normal test drive, it felt more like a leisurely ride with a friend. Halfway through the test drive we were able to switch drivers so my husband could test it out as well. When we got back from the test drive Scott and Kevin worked up the paperwork and visited with us while handling the details, which made me feel more like a person instead of just a sale. While we were waiting for the trade in value to be determined, we were asked again if we would like another cold beverage and shown around the dealership and service area. Also, during that time other employees (who we didn't get the names of sadly) joined in conversations about other cars as well as pop culture making me more relaxed than I have ever been while shopping. When we got to the financing part Angela was informative without being dry. She discussed everything as well as talking me through everything. She helped my spouse get his title for the trade in and even offered us refreshments as well. We got to see the Impala getting detailed and she even shared some funny personal stories. While I was getting the warranty booklet and keys, Melissa was extremely personable and bubbly while being completely professional. All in all, Not only would I recommend David Maus Chevrolet to my friends, family and anyone else I overhear talking about shopping for a new car... but I will be going back for my next vehicle. Of course my spouse is hoping it will be for the corvette, but time will tell. More
