Buyer Beware! BUYER BEWARE if you are looking to buy here. It’s a 2 man show that works out of a small industrial building. It looked sketchy when we drove in and BUYER BEWARE if you are looking to buy here. It’s a 2 man show that works out of a small industrial building. It looked sketchy when we drove in and I wish we would have followed our gut. They have newer vehicles, with low miles, for real good prices, but we learned that ours was a good price for a reason. I would really question the other reviews posted to see if they are legit. After 2 days, the tire went flat; which lead to the discovery of many other issues, including 2 broken axle boots and extensive rust underneath the vehicle as well as the interior (masked real nice). We bought a vehicle from Faiz, which they advertised as “excellent condition” “with no problems”. He gave 5 star ratings (the best) for suspension, steering and tires. Actually 5 stars for all categories. They claimed they check “EVERYTHING” on the car before they sell it and “inspect our vehicles fully”. We asked if the car had any water issue and he said “no”. We asked if it had a CPO warranty and he said “yes” (which we learned was not true). He said if anything happens to the vehicle, just come back to him and he will take care of it (an empty promise). We took it to our auto shop (which we should have done before buying) and several of the mechanics advised us to take it back; and any honorable dealership should do the right thing and return it. We called Faiz back and he hid behind the sold “as/is” paperwork. We explained we understand what “as/is” means, but explained that it did not cover failing to disclose major issues - if he knew about them, or if there is any fraud issues. His attitude was that since Carfax did not report it, he is not liable for it. We explained that he knew that Carfax will not report all services done (usually large dealers - not all repair shops). He also acted like - since there were no issues listed on Carfax, what we were telling him can’t be true. We faxed him a letter from a certified mechanic and also many pictures of the major rust damage. In short, Select City Cars had to know of the rust damage and broken axle issue (according to the professional we spoke to). Faiz had no interest in making it right. He said he would call us back and avoided the situation. We tried to offer many solutions that would be beneficial to both parties, but he said he couldn’t take it back because of titling issues and financing (which of course is flat out a lie and a weak excuse that doesn’t even make sense). His comments was that it was our fault for not getting an inspection first and it was a “gotcha” attitude and a “I don’t care” perception. Worst of all, he will throw out phrases of being a honorable marine and God following person, but the transaction he did with us would embarrass anyone who ever has wore a uniform or has strong religious ethics. People just shouldn’t act like this. In summary, we are out a lot of money. We have never wrote a review before for bad service, but we felt compelled to share to help others that may be thinking about using this company. More
