My first time buying from a dealership went in to look at buying a used car as mine was close to being in the car grave yard, I have never bought a car from a dealership or had a car loan b went in to look at buying a used car as mine was close to being in the car grave yard, I have never bought a car from a dealership or had a car loan before so I was very nervous, When we arrived we looked for Scott Brockelbank, who had been high recommended by a family friend, he immediately began to make this experience less scary, we test drove a car, even shared in some laughs and at the end of the day we left with a new car!! Scott was professional and very knowledgeable about the car he was selling us, he even called and emailed us a few times after we left to insure we were happy with our choice. The dealership it's self was clean and full of employees that all has a smile on their faces. I felt like everyone one was there to insure we left happy! My new vehicle buying team I went in to Seelye Ford in Kalamazoo to test drive a new Ford Super Duty because they were the only dealer in the area with a good selection on the l I went in to Seelye Ford in Kalamazoo to test drive a new Ford Super Duty because they were the only dealer in the area with a good selection on the lot. I hadn't even considered them before due to their poor reputation, but what the heck, a new truck is a new truck. When I arrived Jason D, sales rep, promptly showed me to their lot inventory, but here is where I went into bizzaro land. Instead of telling me a bunch of crap in an attempt to confuse or misdirect me he politely said "let's talk to Nick S, he's our 'truck guy'". Between the two of them they answered all of my questions, all of the answers were direct and to the point (again, no BS), and they made it clear that if I wasn't happy with the vehicle they were not interested in selling it to me. My wife and I have bought quite a few vehicle from all over the state and we have always been either greeted by an overbearing and pushy sales rep, or were not even talked to by sales staff. Because of that I am always ready to debate features, argue prices, and generally not have a good time (my wife cannot stand it). Later that day when talking about my experience with Jason and Nick, my wife thought that I had either been brainwashed or abducted because I have NEVER talked about car sales reps like that before. In the end we got a GREAT deal on a used loaded F350 (super clean, extremely low miles, factory warranty) and saved at least $15-20k compared to a new F250 with less features. Even better, their Finance Director, Greg N, took his time going over the paperwork, was very pleasant to be around, and doubled checked his work to make sure everything was accurate. I feel like I now have a new car sales team that is interested in working for me and not continually trying to rope me into overpriced garbage. Overall great staff, great selection, great prices, and super clean showroom. More

I worked with Josh Minners and Tyler LoveJoy who were amazing at getting me everything I was looking for and more. I have never seen a dealership work as hard as they did to make sure their customer was happy and satisfied. Thanks again Tyler and Josh be blessed. More

He guaranteed it would be done by the end of the day. Now I have to wait all weekend to find out what's wrong. Also they are charging me double the quoted price of $90. I have had nothing but problems with seelye auto group. I will never do business with them again. More
Changing Estimate When getting work done recently, they refused to honor verbal estimates, and instead wanted to charge amounts higher than any other estimate we had, o When getting work done recently, they refused to honor verbal estimates, and instead wanted to charge amounts higher than any other estimate we had, once it was in the shop. I was only able to get a reasonable price by providing a written estimate from another dealer (which was more than $125 cheaper). When I called for an estimate to get the alternator replaced on our 2004 Ford Escape, the original person told me "High 3's to high 4's". I wanted to make sure I understood him, so I asked, "No more than 500?" To which he answered, "yes". I called a few other places including another Ford dealership which quoted $550, so I called Seelye back and set up an appointment. We dropped the vehicle off the evening before it was scheduled to be serviced, and the service adviser, Amy, asked if we would like them to verify it was the alternator before replacing it. We agreed, and so we left with an estimate for only the diagnosis ($50). Amy said she would call with the full estimate once the diagnosis was done. When Amy called the next morning, the full estimate was ~$725! I didn't understand why it was so much higher, and I told her that I was originally given an estimate of not more than $500. She brushed this aside and didn't care. I also told her that I had other estimates all of which were considerably less, and she responded that they weren't some shabby independent shop and used new genuine Ford parts. I told her that one of the considerably cheaper estimates was from another dealer, and she agreed to match the price if I could get her a written estimate. Thankfully, the other dealer was much more courteous and helpful. The created a written estimate (!$560) and faxed it to Seelye for me. Seelye then matched the price plus the diagnostic charge. When picking up the vehicle, Amy seemed irritated and didn't assist in finding the vehicle or keys after we had paid. It took them about 10 minutes to finally figure out where our vehicle was and bring it around to us. We will take our business elsewhere in the future. More

Let's just say, he lacked professionalism & customer service skills. Yes, I liked the salesman we worked with... Would I recommend seelye? Probably not if everyone has to end the deal with Dean DeGroot! Still shaking my head!?!? More
