I bought my RAM 1500 brand new in 2009. Since then I have had all the service performed by Security Dodge. In every case they have shown me how much they appreciate me as a customer. All the services performed have done correctly the first time. My truck is always returned to me as clean as when I brought it in. The service staff always explain all charges and answer all my questions prior to the work being performed and if something is discovered during the repairs/service they stop, explain the issue to me along with any additional charges, and ask my permission to proceed. In short I highly recommend this dealership for both sales and service (this is the third car I have purchased from them). More

Explained in plain, clear English what i'm looking for and terms. Had several call made, and also confirmed that i will get exactly what i'm asking for. I was told that manager has agreed to the price and terms. The terms are for NEW 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4x4, Limited with Navigation, Rear Camera and Sunroof. Lease terms are 36 month, 0 down, $409 / month payment, taxes included in payments. Just first month payment and DMV fees when picking up car. On July 8, 2013 made several calls again, and was told that all terms and numbers correct. I asked to have everything ready for us to pick up the car on July 9th, 2013. Today (July 9, 2013) me, my elderly mother, wife and 6 years old daughter came to the dealership to sign all paperwork and pick up the car. This is where it all became pure hell! Besides the fact that when we walked in no one has greeted us, few people behind desk were talking about something, and even when we came up to the desk we were ignored until they have finished conversation! Then it took about 15 minutes for Salesman to come. His name is Joe Wexler. I again confirmed terms and price, and asked if anything changed. And salesman confirmed that nothing changed, and everything as was discussed before. He gave us few papers to fill out and left. After credit application was filled out he brought us a dealership agreement. This agreement had 39 month lease instead of agreed 36 month. Salesman started saying that that was agreement, and we are trying to make up numbers! He also said that if we don't want to take this deal, we'd have to pay more per month. Then after i offered to show correspondence by email with 36 month term he walked away for about 10 minutes. After he came back he said that 36 month will be honored, but because it has to be done with a different bank it may take up to a day to get approval! We have spent three and a half hours waiting there, and nothing was done! Absolutely outrageous! Every car lease experience i had in the past with Acura, Mercedes, Cadillac has never, ever seen anything like this! Usually takes about 30 minutes to complete all process. We left dealership, and were told to wait for a call when bank approval is ready. Around 6pm i had to call dealership to find out status on approval from bank, and was told that nothing is done yet, and to wait for a call within an hour. I call Nassau Financial Credit Union that was working on our application, and was told by representative that all applications are processed only before 4pm. Called back dealership around 7:15pm, asked again about status, and was told that nothing changed. Then i received a call from a lady from their call center and was asked about whole situation. After explaining to her what is going on, she promised to give them a call and get back to me. Within 10 minutes she called back and said that our application has been approved and that manager will contact me to let me know time to pick up car. Half hour passed and still no call. I called again dealership, and this time was told to come to pick up car at 8:30pm sharp, because they close at 9pm. We came exactly at 8:30pm, and the madness started again! We were told to wait, and wait, and wait. Please keep in mind that 72 year old Mother, and 6 year old daughter still with us. During signing a papers financial manager Frank and Salesman promised to talk to general manager about giving us at no charge All Weather Floor mats to somewhat compensate for this terrible experience. At 10:30pm we drove away from a dealership. Few minutes driving and i noticed that car has only a little bit less then half a tank of gas! This is very, very, very horrible experience. Today i left message with front desk, and told them about GAS situation. Was promised to get a call back to resolve it. Never received a call. Overall, this day was just a pure NIGHTMARE! Instead of pleasant experience of leasing a new car, as it should be. I can't blame salesman for all that happened, but this is no way how customers should be treated. More

I'm from The Bronx, I'm naturally skeptical of car dealerships and I went to Security Dodge to get my dream car, a 2011 Kona Blue Metallic Ford Mustang GT. I first peeped the car on KBB.com. It fit the right parameters of everything I wanted: manual, low mileage, the right distance from NYC (1 hour), even an insane color that can look bright purple in direct sun and straight black at night. The first thing I noticed was that the price was more than reasonable. So I decided to make the trip out to see it. I came ready to buy but I remained skeptical and reserved judgment until I got there. I don’t know much about Amityville but I know Hunts Point and Jerome Ave shops along with having visited enough car dealerships in a year to know the routine. I first contacted them online, big up to the live chat and its availability. KBB.com didn’t have the phone number as I wanted to call and make double sure they had the car before I went. So I went to the website to get the number and being lazy, saw they had live customer service and got Jenna Goldstein who took my information first and answered my questions for a few days before I even went to the spot. I have to say that I appreciated them having it up because I had some concerns about the car as a history report I ran showed it had a lien on it - she was online and available on the weekend before they even technically opened and reassured me that it wasn’t an issue. After some googling I realized dealerships will sometimes take in a car with a low lien on it and use your payment to pay off the lien and transfer the title. After I learned this I was like ok no problem. I got to Security and from the moment I stepped in the door until the second I drove the car off the lot, they were super real with me. My mechanic flaked out on me and so I came with family, some kids as well and not only was everyone courteous and helpful but they were also very straight forward which I appreciated immediately. Nice place, not a bad little showroom with the lounge area, my people were comfortable while I did my thing. I liked that they had a good range of vehicles and an assortment of something for everyone no matter who you are. Don’t get me wrong, I was there SPECIFICALLY to buy THIS car. But I realized immediately from browsing the website that they didn’t carry many Ford cars and that my Mustang was one of three in their inventory, an Old Guard sitting in the back with a sea of Camaros out front. So I was extra happy they keep the mix they do since they had just put my car up for sale a few days before I went to get it. The guy that made the difference was Brian Watts. Fantastic salesman. He first showed me that this place wasn’t like the usual places. Whoever is hiring over there, they are putting a heavy emphasis on keeping a positive and earnest vibe. Brian was up front and honest with me about the quality of the car and the price from the start. I knew it was a good deal relative to the tristate area when I scoped the car from afar. But even after I got in the place, ran my diagnostics scanner and saw that the car was solid, I bartered for a major discount. I loved Brian because he offer me the straight numbers from the beginning and told me with confidence what his flexibility was. I still insisted on going up the chain to see that the ultimate price was what I envisioned. Mike Cruz the Used Sales Manager was pretty eloquent in explaining the little wiggle room as the price was initially set at a deliciously attractive line… relative to the market. The calculator came out, concessions join the party as the taxes and fees were being thrown in and I stepped outside to think about it. Price is what this whole dealerrater website is about, no? People searching for the best quality car for what they pay. I walked out into the parking lot and looked at my car from across the street and realized that the overwhelming factor in my decision was that the most important thing, the price, remained as it initially was - very reasonable. For the price to have started with little hassle and ended up at a place where I was more than comfortable with it… especially for a Mustang GT? Hell yeah I had to take it. Many thanks and much love to Rich Sollano, he handled the paper work masterfully and honestly if you are ever in this place you HAVE to look at his office. I can’t even describe the collection he has in there but the place radiates for anyone who appreciates athletes of any sport. All in all I had to say that my visit to Security Dodge was a pleasure, the people were nice, the price was priced just right, and I’d recommend them. Especially Brian, he’s got a great sense of professionalism along with a comfortable and amiable demeanor. Gives the facts when you ask him questions and is all about giving you the time to make up your own mind and while he tells you what you want and need to know. This was also a resonating quality with everyone else I encountered there but especially him. Very upfront and honest, the exact opposite of bait-‘n-switch. As a pretty new age car dealership, they emphasized transparency and decreased haggling. I would send friends and family here if they were looking for a car… and I might even stop by someday after I install the second battery to help support the extra bass, fridge, PS3, projector, and microwave I have lined up.
