Not sure if I was insulted, but my wallet did hurt I went in for a larger mileage related service. It seemed like they didn't think I was prepared to pay, I couldn't wait the 3 hours, and I was ignorant to car services because I am a young person (dare I say a millennial). I was slowly talked to about each aspect of the service like I was 4 years old. I assured them I was fine, knew it was a bigger service, and had a book to entertain myself. They had to gall to ask if I wanted a ride to the mall in a demeaning tone. Nope I have a book and a brain, I'll be in the waiting area, call me when you're done. I was told the potential total, again in that belittling manner, and was surprised but I was already trapped so on with it. I don't need to eat everyday. I had done more research later in the day about the type of service and the pricing. What I paid was hundreds of dollars over the price range of other establishments. I got this car fairly recently and loved the sales staff and switched to the service center associated with the dealership, but honestly I might go back to my old stopping ground for service. Not sure if I was dealing with someone who was having a bad day or had a rude customer prior. I left feeling like a small person. More

Not to be trusted First I went in for an oil change. When I left, the check engine light came on. Jay insisted that I had to make another appt even thought I just left. First I went in for an oil change. When I left, the check engine light came on. Jay insisted that I had to make another appt even thought I just left. Eventually, the mgr got involved and the computer just had to be reset. Took all of 10 minutes. Then later I went for the 60000 mile checkup. Jay insisted that my oil was leaking. I park in the same spot with no leaks showing. He said that the headgasket needed to be replaced to the tune of $2100. I knew the car was not leaking so I declined. Jay insisted that I monitor the oil level because of tbe head gasket. Well I got the car home and it started to leak oil. I took it to an independent mechanic. He said the head gasket was fine but secor did not tighten the drain plug- hence the oil leak!! I have been with secor subaru for over 18 years and it is the first time I felt that I was being scammed. When I am ready to buy another subaru, i will go elsewhere! More

Best Subaru service option for RI. Nearby & Professional. I bought my Subaru used and when I needed some warranty work done I had no choice but to find an official Subaru dealer for the service. I asked aroun I bought my Subaru used and when I needed some warranty work done I had no choice but to find an official Subaru dealer for the service. I asked around RI and no one had a standout option in the immediate area. I did some online looking and realized New London was not so far from southern RI, and so I took a chance. I remain a very happy Secour Subaru service customer and recommend them to everyone in RI, especially Southern RI. The waiting room is equipped with private work-space desks, so you can wait and get work done. (Free donuts & coffee are great too.) As a side benefit, I try to arrange my appointments and work schedule so I can also sneak in a trip to the Lyman Art Museum in New London which I otherwise really never get too. So, yes, RI - you can drive 45 min out of state and get great Subaru service and experience life just over the line! More
