Disrespected, Insulted, headaches, STAY AWAY! (3/27 UPDATED) Brought my '18 Subaru STi to this service center for a TSB/Recall for Headlight Replacements. After 5 days of visiting the dealer to get the job done Brought my '18 Subaru STi to this service center for a TSB/Recall for Headlight Replacements. After 5 days of visiting the dealer to get the job done on the 5th visit the job took place and the quality of work ended up being BEYOND absurd, front bumper was installed horribly wrong, damaged, Headlights didn't align at all, they didn't even install the light bulbs back into the new units either. Simply a rushed job from start to finish... The Service Manager John Donovan, came outside the service center to lie about the job, insult me, disrespect me, and blow me off after I pointed out the poor quality of workmanship by his "Master Tech". This "man" lacks integrity and should not be the face of this shop. I had to drive off to pay a visit to the owner of the dealership for this, upon driving off the lot. I realized, the tech forgot to install ALL my light bulbs back into the headlight units, including my turn signals putting me in danger of a crash. Master Tech workmanship was beyond poor, Installed everything wrong, didn't double check his work, nor inspected the lights to be working. Tech installed the headlight units without any bulbs. Not once, twice! ( On another note: The Service Adviser Amanda was AWESOME, She did her job right and I am pleased with her performance. She did her job right from start to finish, she also shows a lot of potential and could easily run the service department as the Service Manager) After this JOKE of customer service by John Donovan & His "Master Tech", I had to deal with the owner of the dealership Charlie Secor, who had to keep the car an additional 5 days to get the car 100% again. He had to go through an embarrassment as he thought the car was done upon delivery to me. The tech had forgotten another set of light bulbs, making this the second time he did not inspect his work. AGAIN, the master tech failed to double check his work. I had to come back the next day, for a total of 10 Days for a 1.5HR job. BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. The car was done 100% and It was delivered by the owner himself, Charlie Secor. Charlie is a great person, being in the business for a long time and cares about his brand and customer base. We had an informal meeting about all of this and I expressed my thoughts about this entire experience and I came up with a positive solution for the wasted time and headaches, I will wait for him to come through with his word. (Subaru of America was contacted about all this and they did not do anything to the dealership, only listened, and took notes. I was told this is between me and the dealership and they can't hold the dealer accountable.) EDIT 03/27/19 DEALERSHIP UPDATE: I have not heard back from the owner regarding any compensation for the poor service. I do not want to deal with these people ever again. SUBARU OF AMERICA UPDATE: Subaru of America did not contact me back with a solution about the entire issue. CAR UPDATE: After further inspection, The car was NOT 100% DONE. Today, I was washing my car since it's almost spring time. The front crash bar's foam that sits in between the bumper and crash bar for extra reinforcement, fell off and was found sitting on the bottom grill blocking the air flow to the radiators for cooling. Now, The car is running the risk of overheating. I thought I was done with this joke of service and now I am forced to contact a different dealership to get the job done properly to remove the bumper again to install the bumper foam back in it's place. This place should not be servicing ANY car, if you can't change head light units, light bulbs, and a bumper properly. NOBODY should trust this place with a bigger task such as oil changes or even engine rebuilds. PATHETIC. More

At approximately 2pm I attempted to contact the service dept. and reached an answering machine. I left my name, number and asked for a return call. I called a second time about 3pm with the same result. At approximately 3:45 I stopped by the dealer for an update and was told the work on my car had not even begun but was told it would be completed by COB that day. At about 4:50 pm I received a call from Secor informing me that my car wouldn’t be finished that day. Not the best service or communication by the dealer. More

Misleading Pricing - Excessive Service I was told $550 for the 30k service. It ran $650. I was told $61 for a minor repair. It ran $104. I was told $10% military discount. They gave a $40 d I was told $550 for the 30k service. It ran $650. I was told $61 for a minor repair. It ran $104. I was told $10% military discount. They gave a $40 discount (not percentage based at all; about 6%). Their "standard 30k service" includes a lot of unnecessary work that isn't on the Subaru recommended 30k maintenance and it wasn't clear all the extras they were tacking on until after the maintenance was over. Tell them exactly what you want and don't believe the prices they tell you. More
multiple recalls and investigation Everything was taken care of beautifully: I was asked on the phone if I needed a loaner (I did not), and was immediately alerted when required parts d Everything was taken care of beautifully: I was asked on the phone if I needed a loaner (I did not), and was immediately alerted when required parts did not arrive and my work would be delayed (I was still in the waiting room waiting to join my wife for an Ascent test drive). Like the ability to drive into the reception bay to check in. Only possible thought I have for improvement is architectural: given that this is a new and spacious facility, the remote and isolated location of the waiting area is uncomfortable, despite the relative quality of the spaces. I had two vehicles serviced, a 2010 Forester and a 2018 Outback; neither had been purchased at Secor, so my "price" comments below are somewhat slanted, especially since, to date, all repairs have been under warrantee.
