i called the dealership service department to make an appointment to have a fog light re-seated in its housing and to check on a tire that was leaking air (very slowly). the light was re-seated, but doe appointment to have a fog light re-seated in its housing and to check on a tire that was leaking air (very slowly). the light was re-seated, but does not sit as sturdily as the factory light. they told me the tire had no problem, but they cleaned the rim. we'll see if that stops the leaking. the biggest issue is that these two things should have taken less than one hour, yet they had my car for 7+ hours. they never called to say the car was ready, i had to call to check. this is a pattern with this dealer who takes far too long to complete work and does not keep in touch with customers as progress is being made / work completed. how easy would it be to complete work on time and call when completed. keep a schedule, keep in touch. Both things cost nothing and go a very long way to service. More
A very difficult problem to detect was in fact isolated, addressed and very satisfactorly solved. Additionally During the course of the investigation concerning the failing blower motor I was kept advised o addressed and very satisfactorly solved. The only reason that I did not rate the Overall Experience a 5 (great) is that the vehicle had a transmission problem when I picked it up. I have never met a group of service managers so dedicated to making the painful aspect of getting your car serviced so pleasant! They are friendly, helpful, sympathetic and in a word fantastic. Drove an old Volvo until I couldn't take it any more . . . had to buy the car of my dreams, an E350, especially with the new design. Checked out the other dealership in town and was unimpressed. The showroom and people, especially Matt, were all first-rate and what you'd expect buying a Mercedes. It was actually extremely cold, and closing time had passed, yet Matt unflinchingly used every resource at his disposal, like he owned the place, to show me every car and every detail that he thought I should consider before making a decision.
