My husband and I bought a car at sea auto sales on Saturday at noon, at 5:00 it broke down and was on a flatbed tow truck back to the dealer which cost us$180.00. When I called the manager to tell hi Saturday at noon, at 5:00 it broke down and was on a flatbed tow truck back to the dealer which cost us$180.00. When I called the manager to tell him this is what I got in return and I quote "well, you bought it as is, you said your son was learning to drive a stick maybe he messed it up" when I told him we wanted to tow it back to them he said" we close in 30 minutes". They did wait for the car to get there. Sea auto sales called us monday to say it was going to cost $220.00 to fix and this was a deal because we were getting "wholesale prices". We could not believe what we were hearing. We picked up the car and it is not running correctly, they obviously didn't test drive it when they finished. We are taking it to another shop to get it fixed right. We have bought many used cars over the years and have never had such an awful experience. We usually go to bigger dealerships but our son wanted a certain car and they had it. What a nightmare!!!!! More
My wife and I just bought a truck from these guys. Haven't had a problem with the truck yet, but the bank told the manager that they had done the paperwork wrong and needed the paperwork re-done. The Haven't had a problem with the truck yet, but the bank told the manager that they had done the paperwork wrong and needed the paperwork re-done. The manager begged us to drive back to fix it instead of mailing the stuff. He said the bank wouldn't pay him until the new paperwork was filled out. We live a hundred miles away and have to travel through Tacoma AND Seattle traffic both there and back. The guy said he was SO sorry and promised to make it right via money for travel/time/gas costs if we would help him get paid without waiting for the mail. Feeling bad for the guy we agree to this. The trip back consisted of my wife and I driving 3 hours each way (6 hrs total) over 200 miles and eating both breakfast and lunch on the road ($30 for food) not to mention the hastle of sitting in Tacoma and Seattle gridlock all day. His firm evaluation/payment for our time/travel/gas/expenses when we went so far out of our way to help him out = Twenty dollars total. I hadn't even haggled over the price of the vehicle. If you want your money to go to the stereotypical cheap and sleazy used car salesman by all means go to Sea-Auto in Edmonds,WA -Mike More
