There is a misunderstanding that you paid a surcharge fee; unfortunately, I called twice, but we have yet to be able to speak, and that's disappointing because I want you to be completely thrilled with your brand-new CR-V Hybrid Touring. The price agreement that Rossi Honda offered you was well below the $5000 market adjustment others were advertising for that unique touring trim level, with those features and your color selection. I’m told it was exactly the one you wanted. A stunning choice, indeed! And so worth the wait. Rossi Honda guaranteed you that vehicle back in December 2022, and we had a 100% commitment to honor that agreement as it was “reserved for you” when we purchased this dealership in late February 2023. Our perspective is that CR-V belonged to you when it arrived. Several customers were "waiting" for you to change your mind because that particular CR-V is hard to get. I believe our call would give you satisfaction that you made an excellent choice, and the Rossi team took very good care of you when you made your decision last December. Perhaps we’ll have the chance to speak. I’d value it, being able to get this right so that you feel good.

No, there was no misunderstanding. Steve Benn told us that Mr. Rossi did not allow surcharges and showed us window stickers from other Honda dealers who added surcharges. 10 minutes later, he told us there would be a $1,500 surcharge on the car,

Sir, your purchase agreement was in December 2022, while Rossi Honda owned and operated the dealership. We purchased the dealership in late February 2023 and honored the price agreement, as your car was on order and reserved for you. I spoke with your wife this evening. She and I discussed the high demand for your Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring trim and color combination, which still exists in this Spring market. A few Honda models that are more readily available are selling at MSRP now for consumers who are flexible with their wish list. Please know the Rossi team had given you a fair deal on your CR-V Hybrid Touring. I'm in a difficult position to discuss what occurred back in December. More than that, I'm disappointed that you believe it has to do with our purchase of the dealership in February. I know you've purchased six Hondas from Rossi over the years. I welcome a conversation; I'd like to make a proper introduction.
