I’ve been car shopping for a few weeks and thought I had a vehicle picked out. Last Saturday I decided to look at the Outback because I liked the green ones I saw driving around town. My wife saw a Outbac a vehicle picked out. Last Saturday I decided to look at the Outback because I liked the green ones I saw driving around town. My wife saw a Outback Touring model in Cinnamon. The vehicle was awesome and larger than I thought. We ended up talking to Henry and the Manager Nick. It was a great experience. We didn’t have our trade with us but said I’d be back Monday since Easter was the next day. Right after my appointment with the VA Monday morning I was back there working on a deal. Ended up getting a great deal and Adrian in Finance was able to work some magic and got me a great interest rate and a lower payment than I expected. The vehicle is a dream to drive and I’ve got a lot to learn still but Schumacher Subaru has a new extremely happy customer!!!! More
My first experience with Subaru Maintenance. Dealt with Mike Boden as the customer rep. Absolutely fantastic experience. Mike was very personable. He detailed what was going to happen, how much Dealt with Mike Boden as the customer rep. Absolutely fantastic experience. Mike was very personable. He detailed what was going to happen, how much it would cost and how long everything would take. After the work was completed, he reviewed the bill and the actions taken in some detail. The most wonderful thing was that his time estimate was dead on accurate. No lame excuses for delays etc. The best experience with any car maintenance department in my 50+ years of driving. I will always request Mike Boden and schedule the required maintenance around his availability. A 10 all around. More
When I ordered my car (a Subaru Forester Touring) I was told it would be about 2-2 1/2 months, possibly sooner, which was Okay. After some negotiating we, my sales guy, JR, his sales manager, Adam and mys told it would be about 2-2 1/2 months, possibly sooner, which was Okay. After some negotiating we, my sales guy, JR, his sales manager, Adam and myself agreed on bottom line numbers. I gave a deposit and agreed to proceed. I left dealership feeling good about the sale. When I got home I decided to call Adam (sales manager) to make sure that if by waiting that long for my ordered vehicle that all the numbers we agreed upon would not change, specifically, the trade-in value on my vehicle. He pointedly stated; “the only reason anything would change with those numbers would be if either you put 1000 or more miles on vehicle or if there were a significant change/drop in the used car market”. Okay, I felt reassured by his statement, I believed him. In the time I waited for my new car to arrive I put approx. 400 miles on car and it was garaged constantly. In the 2+ months I waited, and there was NO significant negative change in the used car market by then and as a matter of fact it (used car market) only became stronger in that time. Almost 3 months went by and my new car was still not in. I received a phone call from JR (my sales guy) and he told me he had some bad news for me, it was that my car wouldn’t be in for at least another 20-22 days. I told him that was okay because I would be out of town for the next 11 days anyway. Two days later I get a call from him and he tells me to “come on in and get your new car, it’s here”. I had told him I’d be out of town which I’m assuming he forgot, nevertheless, he said don’t worry we can do all of this electronically. He said I’ll send you the paperwork, you sign everything and we’ll get it done today. He stated that his sales manager, Adam, needed to get this deal done ASAP. I stated to him that I waited longer than expected for this car to come in, then you call me when I’m out of town and want to give me the ‘bums rush’ to “get this done quick”?, anyway, he sent paperwork and I noticed some key numbers were different from the original agreement. They had changed my vehicle trade-in and devaluated it by $2000, also the payoff of my vehicle was now $1100 less (due to making 3 more payments by then) than it was on original contract which they did not adjust. It was bad enough that he didn’t correct those numbers from the original contract which would have favored me but now he refused to even honor the original bottom line, out the door price and presented me with a higher out the door total. I waited 3 months for a car, they changed original contract numbers on me and their (Adam’s) argument was, quote “we never changed the MSRP number, we stuck to our agreement with you” which is a very clever equivocation of the other important facts. Yes, the MSRP did not change but the other numbers did which effected the bottom line, out the door price by about $1800-$2000, in their favor, of course. I moved on and am in the process of purchasing a vehicle elsewhere where the sales manager stuck to what he promised, with no games or equivocations. I wish you luck when dealing with some of the (mentioned) staff at this dealership. More
