After a long winter in NJ my Camaro needed a new windshield due to a rock cracking it. Andrew Garcia was able to assist me in ordering a new one and having it installed during my leisure. I dropped the car off in the evening and picked it up the next day. The car was taken care of and parked safely. The windshield was installed without any evidence it was ever taken off. They even managed to save my inspection sticker! All was done quickly and efficiently without any concerns. I will go back to Gearhart - even though I did not purchase my Camaro there. My next purchase will be through Andrew. More
Andy is great, when there's a problem with your car he gets it check it out and explains everything to you do it can be understood. My son has had some issues with his 2007 Impala ss since we bought the car back in september of 2012 but the service department has gone above and beyond what most dealerships would have done and the issues we bought the car back in september of 2012 but the service department has gone above and beyond what most dealerships would have done and the issues were due to some part failures and they have warrantied everything Mary Keller and as well as other service advisors there at gearhart are by far excellant plus the dealership has just had a makeover looks great and being its nicer weather hotdogs and hambers coming on saturday 11:30am stop by get a hamber hotdog xx out the new and used cars once you buy one your part of the family and get free car wash for life...Cannot beat this dealership the best in morris county.. to start off with i would like to tell you that i bought my first car at gearhart checrolet in 1971..since then i have bought or leased chevy station wagons. impalas. chevelle,and my last 5 cars have been my first car at gearhart checrolet in 1971..since then i have bought or leased chevy station wagons. impalas. chevelle,and my last 5 cars have been malibus..so iam part of the chevrolet and gearhart family[ minus my mistake in the mid 80s i tried another manufactor] wont tell you who but iam back with chevy and gearhart] my latest malibu 2011 was in for service on february 6.,2013,,had problem with check engine light and the air check valve was stuck..made a call to the service dept that morning,,was told to bring in the car that afternoon and they would take a look and see what the problem was..i brought the car in that afternoon,,the service deptment told me they had to order the part and it would be in the next day..they gave me a rental car that afternoon they also called me the following day and told me they replaced the part but it was not up to gearharts standard and they would like to keep the car another day to check out the problem..and asked me in it was a inconviance to me if i kept the rental car another day..i told them that would be ok with me..the next day as promised bernie fearon called and told me everything was checked out and my car was ready to pickup. i went to gearhart that afternoon with the idea that i would have to pay for something but i was told all repairs where covered including the car rental,,i do have a exsteded warranty but i was prepared to pay..in this day and age when the slogan ' buyer beware' is used a lot , it was so good to work with people from gearhart,,who do care and do the right thing, i want to thank bernie fearon , mary keller, joe and gary in the service dept for all there help over the years and even though i dont no the names of the mechanics they all are top flight people.i just want to take this opertunity to thank all the people at gearhart for a job well done.. ihave been with the gearhart family since the 1970s and will countinue to do buisness with them in the future. i also would highly recommend them to my friends..once again i normally dont take the time to write reviews but.......i just want to say THANK YOU TO ALL GEARHART EMPLOYES.. and keep up the good work thomas mcdonald butler nj More
Got a 2007 Impala SS for my son back in september 2012 since then car has been great but had an issue with the power steering leaking called mary keller brought it right down ordered a part next day all s since then car has been great but had an issue with the power steering leaking called mary keller brought it right down ordered a part next day all set under warranty no issues Rob one of the mechanics took care of it. Currently in gearhart for oil leak needed oil pan gasket dropped oil pan and Andrew the mechanic found some pieces from the timing chain tensioner Mary Keller called me said they needed more time would you need a loaner car came down at 2:30 got keys to loaner and down the road i go..The gearhart team are great most of them have been there a long time and the owner Judy Tilton and her sons Kenny, Steven, always insure their clients are happy....So if you ever in need of service on your car be sure to give gearhart a call....Thank You :) More
At about 40,000 miles my 2009 Chevy Silverado's transmission went. Luckily it was under warranty so I brought it back to Gearhart Chevy. I informed Gary in the service department that I would nee transmission went. Luckily it was under warranty so I brought it back to Gearhart Chevy. I informed Gary in the service department that I would need a rental TRUCK as that is what I use for work. Instead, I got a car, a Chevy Cruze. He told me they could not get me a truck. I did however get a GMC Canyon a week or so later since I was so persistent about it with phone calls...still not a full size truck, but whatever. I called a few times checking up on my truck's progress. I was told many times "oh it should be done by this day" but never was. I waited 2 weeks for my truck to get repaired. I did not get a phone call back to say my truck was finished, I called Gary and he just said "Oh yeah, it's all ready". I told Gary I would be there around 3pm and when I showed up I had to wait almost an hour to be written up and on my way. I do have to say that I also got an oil change at this same time which I inquired if it would be free since I waited so long, Gary did make that happen, that was probably the only positive from my experience...but I still had to ask for it as that was not offered to me. After having the truck back for over a week, the transmission is now leaking all over my driveway. I just called Gary today to let him know of this and he told me to bring it right in. I told him that I will no longer be bringing my truck back to Gearhart Chevrolet for repairs since they obviously do not know how to transmission work and who knows what else would go wrong. Overall, terrible experience...I really wish I never bought this truck from Gearhart Chevrolet. I guess live and learn. More
I came in for an oil change and left with a car ... I was given very good advise from Gary in the service dept as to why i should trade my 07 impala LT for an 07 impala LTZ,,and if it were not for Walter I given very good advise from Gary in the service dept as to why i should trade my 07 impala LT for an 07 impala LTZ,,and if it were not for Walter I would have left the dealer ship with the car I was having serviced instead of the new one,And I am a repeat customer I bought my first Impala from Walter 3 yrs ago. And every time i see Walter he goes out of his way to say hello even when i see him outside of the dealership on his day off. And as far as service goI aways get a warm welcome. When i was out of work Gary worked with me to make sure my car was serviced as needed and advise on what could wait. OVerall best Dealer that I have ever used. More
