Her car died and it would have been too costly to repair so we decided to just buy a new car. We had originally planned on shopping around to look at different cars, but the people at Schmelz were so amazing and took such great care of her that we decided to purchase from them. This was her 1st big purchase and they made it so easy. I am so grateful everyone at Schmelz! More
Terrible Experience! Scheduled maintenance online and dealership followed up with a call. Explained to caller and he said it was noted, quoted me a price and said part Scheduled maintenance online and dealership followed up with a call. Explained to caller and he said it was noted, quoted me a price and said part of the price would be covered by the extended warranty I had purchased from Schmelz when I purchased the car. Also told me it would take two hours. Arrived at the dealership and was told the scheduler was wrong and that the warranty didn't cover what I had been told it did. Also was told they needed more time to complete the repair. After 2 hours was told more time and needed additional repair that would cost an additional $240. When I finally left after 3+ hours and paying an extra $100, When I read the Service Order it stated that the Debris Covers were still installed. I assume the dealer should have installed them. Worst dealer experience I've ever had. More
Buyer Beware. I met with a sales consultant at Schmelz Countryside to find a new vehicle. He made notes on everything I wanted and did not want, very specifically no sunroof. At first he could not find one with my specifications but as I was about to leave, he said he wanted to check once more and consulted with the sales manager. Then he told me they found a car but it had to be transported to Countryside. When I picked up the car the next day, it had a sunroof and the sales consultant never even mentioned to me that the vehicle had one. Moreover, the day before, I was not provided any vehicle specifications; just the price of the car and asked in an intimidating way by the sales manager, if I wanted that car. I mistakenly assumed, because I thought they were being honest and helpful with me, that when they said they had found a car for me, it was one that fit my specifications. Unfortunately, it was not and I purchased one that I did not want partly due to the sales manager’s behavior. I would not recommend doing business with this company because they are untrustworthy and were dishonest with me. It seemed to me that their only intent was just to sell a car with no regard to customer satisfaction. More

Went out of his way to make sure the Glass Co. was able to make the replacement on site and to have our car left inside to allow the glue to crue properly on a sub-zero night. He also followed through getting our vehicle repairs done promptly and correctly. This was our second interaction with Jon and have been impressed with his personal and professional way of doing business. (Note to management - give this man a raise). I have been involved in the repair business myself in the past and after dealing with service writers for 50+ years for dozens of makes and models I can assure you this guy stands head and shoulders above most of them. Thanks Jon - see you next trip - - - ' More
