While the family originally made its start with the Buick brand, the Scherer dealership is looking to take its business to the next level, offering a new and improved product with the Mazda brand. Here at Scherer Mazda, you're treated like family. This comes from our long history as a family business, which began back in 1905 when Otto Scherer opened his first Buick dealership in Palmyra, Wisconsin. He worked closely with his close friends and automotive giants such as David Dunbar Buick, Walter Chrysler, and C.W. Nash. The Scherer dealership was built on Scherer's philosophy of good service, quality products and great prices, which led to his respected position as a successful business owner in southern Wisconsin.
A man history won't soon forget, Scherer's business accomplishments were felt throughout the community. When his original store building burned down, Scherer took it upon himself to have a new building constructed that would house not only his own business, but a post office, medical and dental offices as well, thus "The Scherer Opera House" was built, being the first building in Palmyra to offer electric lights.
The Scherer Family has been proudly serving the Peoria area for decades and looks to do so for years to come.

Originally went to Kia, they had a Mazda 2019 they wanted 24,000 for it. They were rude and tried to get me to buy a brand new car. I left there I went to Mazda. And checked out the mouse there becaus wanted 24,000 for it. They were rude and tried to get me to buy a brand new car. I left there I went to Mazda. And checked out the mouse there because I did like it at the Kia store but because it was rude I thought I’ll just go to Mazda ran into Anthony the sales rep he was great it was superb quality no pressure. And then I ran and talked with Scott money man that I get you a car. I cried it was OK wasn’t the greatest but he put me in a brand new 22 Mazda. I was set on a white And black Mazda. But everything they had was taken. So I was going to buy the black one they have. Come in the next day and they said they had great news I was approved. And they took me outside and there was my white and black Maza I threw my arms around the front end of the car and I said it’s mine it’s mine. No one can have it but me. It was a great day a great experience. Would recommend Anthony and Scott to take care of anyone great employees they truly care about the Mazda product. That’s my story of car shopping at Mazda. More

I drove 1 hour to buy Mazda C Mazda,Peoria. I am so delightful to get such great customer service. I would certainly recommend Scherer Mazda,Peoria. I drove 1 hour to buy Mazda CX-50 from Scherer Mazda because of best customer service. I would recommend Jason from Sales team . He was great and very friendly! Jason was great. We test drove two new cars and he was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. What I loved about the process was that all the usual sales tactics were not used, no 4 square or back and forth with the "sales manager," no market adjustments for the new car, no low xxxxx on my trade. Very to the point, just trade value and new car price. The finc manager was friendly and too the point, ready to go when I went into his office. Jason spent at least an hour going over the car with me making sure I knew everything I needed about the CX-9 as this was my first Mazda. I really have nothing bad to say about the whole process. I will definitely recommend this dealership/sales team to my friends. More

Katie Banik is a very good sales person. She helped me from start to end. She also helped me with small stuff like connecting phone to the CX5 and how I can use some features of the vehicle.
