Lucky one that got away clean Bob Rohrman's Schaumburg Lincoln had a 2011 Chrysler 300 Limited with 27,600+ miles advertised on the internet for $19,997 or a buck or two different Bob Rohrman's Schaumburg Lincoln had a 2011 Chrysler 300 Limited with 27,600+ miles advertised on the internet for $19,997 or a buck or two different - which I found using Cargurus.com and a couple of other 3rd party cars for sale conglomeration sites. I am an experienced buyer who has been shopping for this model for several months and have moved past the shopping stage and into the buying stage - CASH buyer, at that. I sent this dealer an email through CarGurus.com asking for more information. After multiple attempts by THREE different Rohrman's employees who all called me back within 45 minutes of posting the email & each of them hearing my offer of $15,000-$16,500, that I felt was in the ball park but probably a little low, I had written this off as just another deal that wasn't going anywhere. (None of them was even aware the others had also called.) A couple days later, Monday, OCT 27, 2014 - Marty, the used car manager, calls me up with a new pitch and tried unsuccessfully to lure me into driving 95 miles to his lot to get a personal sales pitch - even offered to buy us lunch for our trouble. I explained I was long past the shopping stage and ready to pay cash money and my offer was $15,000-$16,500, that I did not need a "test drive" anyway since I had already driven more than a dozen of them, and I was ONLY interested in making a deal. After about a half an hour Marty and I settled on a price of $15,750 + $166 document fee and a $10 drive off fee. Tax, title, & license (another $900+ for me back here in Wisconsin), would all be taken care of by me here in Madison. The deal was struck, and an appointment to complete the paperwork made for Saturday afternoon, NOV 1, 2014.. I called Marty back & l and sent him out to double check the color of the interior leather while I listened to him doing so on his cell phone (wind), just to be sure, so he definitely saw the car and the price ON the car at that time. (This will become readily important in a bit.) Marty agrees to set the car aside, awaiting our arrival on Saturday afternoon with the trade-in truck. Wednesday OCT 28, 2014 Marty calls and tells my wife he just wants to triple check that everything is covered, as it would be a shame for us to drive all that way and something go wrong with the deal. I returned his call later that afternoon and left a reminder for him to call me anytime. Thursday afternoon I STILL hadn't heard back from Marty, so I called him again and this is what transpired. Marty: "Hi, Mr. *****, um, what price did you say was on the car on the internet, again?" ME: "$19,997, or something like that." Marty: "Are you on our web site?" ME: "No. I found it using CarGurus or something." Marty: "Can you check the web again?" So I dial it up and look, and LO & BEHOLD the car NOW has a price of over $24,000 and a big red box that says "OVERPRICED" (put there by CarGurus.com) When I had originally looked at it several times over a couple of weeks it was listed with a green "FAIR DEAL" box at $19,997.. Deviousness abounds, change the price on the internet and try to make me believe I had made a mistake. I do NOT make mistakes of this sort, not when in BUYER mode - but that's immaterial, A DEAL WAS STRUCK! Marty starts hemming and hawing and I can tell something it up. Eventually he gets it out. He doesn't want to sell me the car at the agreed upon price anymore. Claims he would be a fool to accept that low of a price and starts working me about how the miles are so low and the car is worth much more. A 2012 model, a year NEWER, with slightly higher mileage (41,000+, about 13,000 more miles) - is listed for over $3,000 less in Milwaukee at DaneCountyAuto.com. An Antioch, IL dealer ALSO has a 2011 model with 28,593 miles listed right at the same $19,997 price with a green Good Deal box - (but it was not there until today.) A dealer in Arlington Heights has a 2012 model with only 17,577 miles on it and is asking $20,890 - $4,000 LESS asking price than Marty claims he would be a fool to sell me a year older car - with 10,000 more miles on it - for. Don't take MY word for it, look on the web for yourselves. - so you'll KNOW my words are TRUTH, and not some angry venting person just looking to get even. My point here being, the car WAS priced correctly but in order to facilitate backing out of a deal, Marty and his merry band of car seller banditos CHANGED the ad on the web. Now, I am NOT the sort of person who backs out on my word, I ALWAYS live up to my word. Used car dealers, who knew they weren't. LMAO, I should have known better than to expect honor among a pack of thieves. The upshot here is either Marty figured he could goose me higher, which is apparently a regular practice at this dealership, or he had another buyer come in and offer a better price. Either way, Marty is not a person to be trusted and neither is his word. I consider myself extremely lucky to have escaped this red flagged deal - but ONLY through my own diligence, because Marty was ducking returning my call in hopes I would waste my time and money driving to Schaumburg so he could get a shot at selling me some other car under the pressure of having driven all the way down there. I am the loyalty sort and it's highly likely Marty and his dealership would have gotten repeat business at some future point because he had worked well with me up to that point. Instead he lost my trust, my business, and gained this web review for his dealership. Caveat Emptor - buyers BEWARE of Bob Rohrman's Schaumburg Lincoln used car sales - you'll get less than you paid for, and overpay for the privilege. More
**BEWARE..DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE** I am a recent Bob Rohrman Schaumburg Lincoln customer & I do NOT have a postive review. I have a horror story! Please do not buy a car from this dealership. On Sat Bob Rohrman Schaumburg Lincoln customer & I do NOT have a postive review. I have a horror story! Please do not buy a car from this dealership. On Saturday March 1, 2014 my husband & I purchased a used 2003 Jaguar X-Type & this is where our nightmare began. Our salesperson, Kathy Gorecki, (who conveniently no longer works at this particular Rohrman dealership anymore) was very eager to sale us this particular car in which she stated "had been there a while." Kathy even offered to knock off an extra $200 because the rearview mirrors were cracked. We noticed that the ABS light came on & off during our test drive, but were insured that the vehicle had already passed the Bob Rohrman car point inspection test. Having viewed the Carfax & being aware of the Rohrman inspection stamp of approval we mistakenly believed that the car was being sold to us with no major mechanical issues. Within a week of purchase on Friday March 7, 2014 the car started to stall out on me while I was driving around with my newborn baby & two other small children in the backseat. The engine light came on & the ABS light came on. I was very worried & sent my husband a text message & pics of the issues(I have the pics & text message saved). The same day my husband sent Kathy an email. She never responded back to him about the issues (We have the email saved). On Saturday March 9, 2014 I tried to drive the jaguar to a local mechanic shop to get it checked out for what we thought would be some minor repairs. Unfortunately, the car started jerking really bad & losing power. It couldn't make it all the way to the shop. I had to try to drive it back home & call for a tow truck. On Tuesday March 11, 2014 we had the jag towed to the mechanical shop. On Wednesday March 19, 2014 we got the first estimate of repairs for the car: $3600 for the ABS module & $1300 for exhaust repairs!!! That's almost $5,000. The total cost we paid for the the Jaguar was about $4,200. My husband then contacted the Bob Rohrman Lincoln dealership about the major vehicle issues & asked to see the maintenance records on the car. The Sales Manager DJ told my husband he would review the records & then call him back. He never did! My husband called back the next day & was transferred to the General Manager Rocko. Rocko told my husband that despite the car's major issues the dealership would not give us our money back, but would be willing to take the car back as a trade in(less value) & get us in another Bob Rohrman Lincoln car. I then called the GM Rocko & explained to him all of the car's issues myself. I was very upset. Rocko was rude & insensitive.. He stated that the $200 we had gotten off was for the ABS light coming on in the car. I told him this was a lie. I asked him about the inspection that they claimed the car had passed before they sold it to us. He said the car had indeed past their inspection & that the first time the abs light had ever came on in the car was when I had driven it during my test drive. Please do not purchase a car from this dealership. The Bob Rohrman car website promises "the highest quality customer service before, during, & after purchase." They failed to deliver on their promises in more ways than one. Our trust in them is now broken. More

Went into the dealership cold, looking to compare prices with another quote I recently received. They were courteous, not at all condescending, answering each and every question asked. Made a deal the nex with another quote I recently received. They were courteous, not at all condescending, answering each and every question asked. Made a deal the next day, and felt good about it!! When I picked up the car, Joe Labellarte spent over 1 hour explaining how all the electronics, navigation, etc. worked. Each question was answered, none were dismissed as being trivial. Even gave me his cell number in case I had some questions, or problems...... I can honestly say the buying experience was enjoyable! Can't say that about other times I purchased an automobile! More
