There was a vehicle for sale and advertised on their website was the full breakdown of the Cost (MSRP - Dealer Incentives - Manufacturer Discount - Manufacturer Rebate). As clear as day. No other warnings, notes, etc. I submitted an online inquiry and asked for a detailed Out-the-Door (OTD) price. Marisa was texting back and fourth, then the details and back tracking was in full effect. The brand new vehicle doesn't come with the Hard Top that is on the Window sticker and that is why the discounts are there. But she still wouldn't provide an OTD price. Then she passed me over to Marc who asked that I call him. Thank goodness I recorded my call because it can be hard to keep up with the fast talking slick motives that we have all become used to with the Vehicle Buying journey! He said the price online is right now, but was incorrect last night. Then went on to say that it's not the dealership's fault the company they hired to do their website did it wrong. Way to go to take responsibility! BTW we are not talkingabout a huge mistake, one that is well within the dealership ability to just close the deal on. Marc just kept saying it's not their fault! Well who hired the Website Company? They did so "Yes" you are responsible! They decided they didn't want to "earn" my business nor keep the integrity by doing what was right and within their power. I have screenshots and the recording to corroborate this. I would avoid working with these folks because if this is how I was treated by employee, I would question the overall culture. This was an easy one to get right and stand up for the advertisement! No! Marc and Marisa decided not to and I suspect this is testimony to who Saybrook Ford may be! More
Sales experience is better than most but Service after the sale including term of sale and safety inspection/warranty is an absolute joke. I’d buy elsewhere if I could. the sale including term of sale and safety inspection/warranty is an absolute joke. I’d buy elsewhere if I could. More

Catastrophic damage had to have all the internals replaced ran me $5,500 after tax. They wouldn't even refund me for the service. Everything is on record there and now they won't allow me to go pickup the copies of the service records to go to the state with. Needless to say I am going to the state and small claims over this. They are absolutely horrendous save yourself the trouble. The head manager told me "you know where to find me I'm here till 7 tough guy" real professional. That was on a recorded call as well. More
I came to this dealership expecting to be swarmed as I pulled in and bothered while I was just trying to glance at cars. Thankfully I was able to look around by myself without feeling pressured. Once I wa pulled in and bothered while I was just trying to glance at cars. Thankfully I was able to look around by myself without feeling pressured. Once I wanted to check inside and see that stats of a Bronco that I was interested in Pat and Anthony were more than helpful on showing me and teaching me things about this vehicle. Then I was referred to finance dept. to see what the best rate I could get. I did do internet research to ensure they price they were showing was a good deal on price as you see these crazy additional prices on cars these days and there weren't any. Thank you guys for all the assistance in making car buying easy like it used to be. I will defiantly refer others to you in the future. More
The price you see online is not the price you get. In fine print it is $5k more than what you pay. They say the price you see is “after a $5k down payment or trade in value”. I found the perfect t In fine print it is $5k more than what you pay. They say the price you see is “after a $5k down payment or trade in value”. I found the perfect truck on Facebook marketplace listed by a salesman. I messaged him, told him I’d be down that day to take a look at it. Test drove it, all seemed okay. Sat down to crunch numbers and I was so in awe of the truck I was almost willing to pay whatever for it. They did knock down the $5k difference because I was trading a car in. However, I agreed to purchase the extended warranty, somoniz glass coat and vin etch (which was probably already done since it was sold twice in CT). I pointed out the rear tires looked pretty low on tread and they said “we’ll let you know” on replacing them. They got me in and out in one night, taking my trade, completing the sale, and I was on my way. A week later it started misfiring. No biggie as it was still under the 60 day warranty. In that week of owning it I got stuck in the mud in front of my house. Probably because the rear tires were junk. When I dropped it off to service to get the misfire taken care of, I asked the service team to talk to the sales managers to put two new rear tires on it. After a few days to diagnose and fix the truck, the sales team never reached out to tell me they wouldn’t cover the rear tires. The service team even told me they measured at 3/32” which the legal limit to have safe tires in CT is 2/32”. I know this because I used to be a master certified tech at a different dealer a few years back. So I go pick up the truck, misfire fixed, with two almost bald rear tires. The excuse the sales manager said was “this IS a used truck”. That’s funny because I just bought another “used truck” from a different dealer for my wife and the measurement before they replaced the tires was 5/32”. They put tires on without me even asking for them. I then looked into the $4000 extended warranty they sell. If something goes bad, you have to pay out of pocket to fix the truck. Then file your own claim and this same company isn’t exactly reliable from what I’ve read and you’d be lucky to get your money back from the claim. They also required the selling dealership to do the work. I decided this dealership doesn’t want to work with me on the tires so I won’t work with them on the warranty. So I cancelled the warranty. I enjoyed working with the sales person Arvy even though he’s no longer at the dealership anymore I’d work with him again but the whole bait and switch on price and not working with me for two measly tires dropped their rating down for me. Zero stars. I purchased a used truck in 2015. Part of the deal was free tires for the life of vehicle. I was so pleased with that deal that I leased another vehicle from them a month or two later (then later deal was free tires for the life of vehicle. I was so pleased with that deal that I leased another vehicle from them a month or two later (then later purchased that vehicle). I have only put 9000 miles on the truck (there are 37K total miles) as of 2021 and the tires are basically bald. SO I assume the tires were not great when I purchased but I was not worried about that at the time thinking they would be replaced for free. They are of course refusing to honor the agreement. I asked for there reasons in writing and to give them an opportunity to make it right and they refused to share in writing their reasons or the language that they are referring to regarding servicing the vehicle every 3000 miles and told me to send letter to whoever I wanted to. That was the General Manager, Drew, the finance manager, Guy, and the Service Manager , Paul. Highly recommend avoiding this dealership at all costs. More
There kinda sketchy there. I was told to see some guy name mike and this guy Anthony played it off it was him. I didn’t know until he gave me his business card showing his name. I told him what I wanted name mike and this guy Anthony played it off it was him. I didn’t know until he gave me his business card showing his name. I told him what I wanted and didn’t even show me anything. He went straight to trying to get an auto loan. He didn’t tell me what year the car was never told me how much the car was and never told me how much I was getting for my car. And he actually thought I was going to take the loan which is even funnier. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I can’t speak for other sellers there but Anthony definitely needs to be shown how to be a proper sales man. If he thought I was going to take a loan without showing me test driving and running numbers then he’s as stupid as a doorknob. Don’t try to take advantage of a single mother because it’s not going to happen. Sorry buddy. And on top of all that he kept taking off his mask and didn’t care about anyone else around him. More
