HUGE MISTAKE BUYING FROM THESE PEOPLE STAY AWAY! Ok, so I really needed a car, I went in with my parents, they were really nice and all (which is of course what'd you'd expect from a dealer). I had seen the really needed a car, I went in with my parents, they were really nice and all (which is of course what'd you'd expect from a dealer). I had seen the car I wanted online and wanted to go in to look at it with my parents. My parents aren't too good with the English and they had no one who speaks Spanish there, so I was on my own. My dad told them that the transmission on the car sounded funny, but they kept saying that it was normal. It is our right as consumers to have the car looked at by a third party; we didn't know this until after this incident. Anyway: they were nice until we wanted nothing to do with the car, because we realized that it was falling apart. There were all these things wrong on it. The price was $9,200 on it, after all government and their fees the final price was more than $13,000. After it was paid off it would be more than $16,000. What they told us the interest rate and the payments were going to be was much different than what was on the contract. We attempted to return the car on the second day of having it, but they said we owned it since the bank had already paid them. Which was a lie we took it back on a Wednesday, the bank hadn't sent them the money until Friday. The bank also approved the loan with no proof of income or anything, which is usually required. They said they would buy it back but only for $5,000 which would have been a huge loss. Since we had left the car at the dealership, after about two weeks, they decided to take it to my parents’ house. We refused to take it back, so the guys that dropped it off left it out on the street and threw the key at our house. We still refuse to keep the car and it is a great thing we put no money down. WORST, SCARIEST EXPERIENCE EVER! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR STAY AWAY!!!!!! THEY LIE, and ARE RUDE over the phone. More
I made the mistake of engaging in a fast purchase (48 hours) due to financing rates being too high at the Honda dealership where I'd planned to buy and not learning the answer until after I'd sold my pre hours) due to financing rates being too high at the Honda dealership where I'd planned to buy and not learning the answer until after I'd sold my previous car. I needed a vehicle quickly, so I didn't research as thoroughly to confirm the validity of the saleswoman's claims. I bought a VUE-FWD with 4 cylinders with sticker mileage in the high 20s and ended up with mileage in the high teens (around 18.5 MPG) with mostly highway driving. (I was told by the saleswoman, when I called to complain, that the mileage would increase with time. My cousin, the mechanic, laughed at that one. It's been 2+ years, and the mileage remains in the teens.) The "FWD" turns out to be "Front-Wheel Drive," NOT four. The car is cheaply made. The brakes frighten me as they give off a bouncing, gears caught type of sensation every so often, since its purchase. Basically, the only advantages to buying this car were the almost immediate delivery (as it was in stock) and a good APR. HOWEVER, the depreciation is so high that I can't trade it in anywhere. Even two Toyota salesmen gave me a sad look and said that the person who sold it to me must be laughing, despite the fact that the vehicle is in excellent condition. At a couple years into the purchase, I'm looking at a $5,000+ loss for a trade in, which is reduced from what it was a year and 18 months ago when I checked, but too big of a loss to justify. I also noticed that the same vehicle that I purchased for $23k two years ago was selling for $17,500 within the last six months. I'm feeling like a fool for buying from them. Do yourself a favor and avoid feeling the same way by not purchasing from this dealership. Stay away from the VUE-FWD also unless you’re looking for a gas guzzler and incredible depreciation. More
