Spent $4000 on engine service/repair. Car failed smog test twice. Cesar (head of service) was rude and made it clear he didn't have time for me and my small problem. I have filed a formal complaint with BMW as I was charged nearly $780 for a new battery. 1/2 of those charges were for labor to install the battery. The highest price quoted from other BMW services in the area was $355, labor & battery included. More

This dealership needs to learn how to communicate with customers. All service advisors should call our text their customers as to the status of their cars before leaving for the day. I called eleven times yesterday to try to reach a human being to find out if/when my car was ready. So frustrating! In addition, I was charged $680 for labor for inspecting my car to tell me everything is fine which I knew because my car has very low mileage. $680! How much an hour is that? So I paid $850 to have a couple of fluids topped off. That's absolute robbery!!! Shameful! If I didn't have an electric car I would NEVER go to that dealership. More

To sum it up, I believe that I was being ripped off. I purchased this BMW X5M about 2 years ago. It was 3 years old and under warranty. At that time I expressed issues with the air conditioning system I purchased this BMW X5M about 2 years ago. It was 3 years old and under warranty. At that time I expressed issues with the air conditioning system as it wasn't cold. They took it back into the shop and suddenly it was working okay. Warmer than it should but okay. Fast forward, two weeks ago it wasn't cold on mostly the drivers' side so I took it to SMBMW service. Shane the service writer wrote up the service saying that I had to pay $265.88 for the evaluation and that this charge would be incorporated into any repair that I needed. The service technician said he felt that the flat or the flap actuator on the drivers' side wasn't working properly. I asked if there was a error code but didn't get a response. Shane said the estimate to remove the dashboard was $3500 plus parts. I said WOW! Then he said they have been having issues with the evaporators as well and that would cost $5000 more. WOW! I really couldn't believe it as SMBMW was now looking at perhaps $10000 to repair my air conditioning system? WOW! Then Alex the technician suggested to inspect the system for leaks. To do so he said they would have to evacuate the refrigerant, fill with nitrogen then check for leaks. Afterwards they would replace the refrigerant. That estimate was $850 and the $265.88 could not be credited toward this service. I asked if they could measure the pressure on the "low" side. I said that could tell you if the refrigerant level was low. Shane would not do so for me. I decided to take/ remove the car from BWM and look for other ways to have the air conditioning repaired/ remedied. I had the system checked and the "low" side was 25 PSIG. Normal is 30 PSIG to 40 PSIG. The system was recharged and so far it is working well. No issues with the drivers' side as the temperature for the entire car is now consistent. So, I want a refund, immediately for the $265.88 that I spent to have this car's air conditioning system evaluated. This evaluation was not complete and I could not get an answer to the "low" side pressure measurement. When picking up the car, at 8:30 AM it was agreed upon for me to arrive at 11:30 AM. We arrived promptly at 11:20 AM and had to wait 45-minutes to get my car! During our wait, we spoke to at least 3 individuals, showed the service receipt and they all said they were working on getting my car to me. 45-minutes, really! They did wash the car for me, I guess that was part of the wait. More
