When we first bought the vehicle your salesman tried to sneak in an extended warranty After that we decided we didn't want to even have our vehicle serviced with you because obviously that was a really upsetting experience. We decided to give you another chance, to make some basic repairs to the inside after our truck was vandalized. We brought it in, and only upon picking it up did your team inform us you had ordered the wrong parts. And forget to look at the backup camera which stopped working out of the blue. We brought the truck back. Two days later and Brian informs us the wiring broke and isn't under warranty. We drove the truck as intended, the wires broke, yet they aren't under warranty?? Of course not, like any insurance company your first line of defense is NO. Instead of any kind of actual consideration of right and wrong, the whole team at Santa Cruz Volkswagon Dodge has treated us without care. I guess the good customer service ends when you sign the dotted line...... More
Twilight Zone experience I called on a Thursday to schedule my 20,000 mile maintenance. The nice receptionist set up an spot with Wayne on a Saturday morning to have this done I called on a Thursday to schedule my 20,000 mile maintenance. The nice receptionist set up an spot with Wayne on a Saturday morning to have this done. When I showed up, with coffee in hand ready to just turn in my keys and wait the 2 hours, I was introduced to Wayne and was immediately taken aback by his questions on what I was in for and the lack of any knowledge on what I thought I had pre scheduled. When I answered he seemed confused and frustrated with me asking me questions about my car and details about the maintenance I had no idea on( I mean I'm a girl and I bought the whole care package when I bought the thing so I wouldn't have to know things like this!) I was under the impression I was all set up to have everything done since I had already called and set this up. He started pounding away on his computer to find my information complaining about something that happened that morning and how his computer wasn't working. He then told me the appointment wasn't to have my car done, but to meet with him to schedule the maintenance. When I told him I thought I had already done this he was more frustrated. This was followed by a "Well it's going to take all day to get this done" statement. He offered uber services to take me back home and pick me up so that was nice. At this point a customer walked in and had a question for Wayne. Wayne waved him over, while he was still working with me trying to get information, and proceeded to get into a screaming match over some misunderstanding. At this point I walked up to the receptionist and asked to be ubered home. Wayne then waved me back over trying to explain what happened with the upset customer and I had to tell him " I DONT CARE" to make him just stop complaining. This guy is obviously very overwhelmed with his workload or just really bad at his job, I will NEVER take my car into this place again. More

I put a low review because of the horrible service we received and how we were lied to about the payments. We were only treated nicely before the purchase and soon after when I received the bill in the mail and saw it was almost $200 more than what we were quoted at I headed straight to the guy we got it from and he laughed wouldn't let us talk to someone else or let us in the building. We have had our contract looked at several times by this same dealership and another and have been told we got screwed. We are now stuck with this truck and paying $650 monthly. We will never buy/lease or recommend anyone to this place. They don't help anyone but themselves. More

I drove t In last Friday (11/27/2015), I bought a Certified Pre-owened 2011 Routan from SANTA CRUZ Volkswagen (1616 Soquel ave Santa Cruz, CA 95062)). I drove this car from this dealership to my home, Utah, which was terrible trip. ? The car’s problems 1. Engine: Whenever I start a car, there is weird noise. And, there are shock of changing speed which is as strong as my 2 months year old baby gets up startle. 2. Steering: there are serious steering wheel tremors when I push the brake. It was really strong so, I sometimes feel hard to grab in the road. 3. Axles: whenever I go on uneven or unpaved road, I can hear the serious noise from driver’s side sliding doors. 4. Heating and air system: the driver’s heating seat doesn’t work. 5. Material: the sun visor mirror frame was broken. The inner mirror near the room mirror was broken, too. 6. Miscellaneous: The all of washer fluid system were broken. When I came to Utah, It was snowy and cold (19~26 ‘F), but the wiper and washer didn’t work. The last 200 miles trip was terrible. Today, after I just arrived, I found that the washer fluid tank and nozzles and tubes were leaked. The rear ones are as well. 7. The car condition was dirty. There was debris under the seats and near the rear entertainment system. 8. On the Carfax report, the last oil change was around at the 33,000 miles. However, today’s 48,000 miles odometer. Should I believe this record..???? ? The dealer’s problem 1. When I found sun visor’s problem, they said that “we can fix it” before contraction. However, after contraction they said that “ I can glue it, but you will not use it if I glue” 2. They said that “we have two keys” before contraction. However, after contraction, they said that “the previous owner didn’t give us the extra key, so I will call to him to let him find the key” on FRIDAY. However, after that, I haven’t got any calls, emails or even txt messages. Even though I sent txt messages to the sale person, he didn’t; reply for my txt. 3. They enforced me pay tax in their dealership instead of paying in Utah when I register. It was weird because they said that I can pay the tax either California (their dealership) or Utah However, they really enforced me to pay the tax in their dealership. By doing this, I lost my money because I can pay amount based on the amount that I actual paid for this car. In other words, I can pay the tax based on the difference from trade-in. However, in California, I should pay tax based on the new car’s full price. Moreover, even though I register my car in Utah, they also charged register fees. . More
I had to bring my vehicle back 3 times for the same service! The service writer was rude and the service manager was even worse! I cannot believe the poor quality of work DEALERSHIPS are getting by wit service! The service writer was rude and the service manager was even worse! I cannot believe the poor quality of work DEALERSHIPS are getting by with, it's not like huffy lube where you expect poor quality, but it is like jiffy lube cause you get poor quality. Never will I deal with this dealership AGAIN. Shame on them for treating customers the way I was treated. I hope they are aware that Karma is Real.. More

Everytime I need to come in for service, I get an appointment within only a day or two, most of the time, the next day. They are always so friendly and accomodating. A car dealership is one of thos appointment within only a day or two, most of the time, the next day. They are always so friendly and accomodating. A car dealership is one of those places you would not be surprised to get less than great service, but time and time again, I am blown away by how helpful and informative the service is. The other day, a piece came off the back window wiper, but I did not notice until a few days after my service appointment. When I called to inquire whether or not they thought it could have come off during the service, Branden was quick to take care of it. After looking in the shop, he ordered me a new part without a second thought. I realize that this piece could have fallen off elsewhere, or been tampered with out on the street, and it would have been just as easy to charge me for the replacement part instead of taking care of it. That kind of customer care is what will continue to bring me back for the long term, and I will always go out of my way to recommend this dealership and service department to others. Thanks! More
Everybody we have dealt with at the dealership has been very friendly, both before we bought the car and afterwards, at the first service. The salesman was very low pressure and cooperative. We took a test drive, took our time during the testdrive, and then left, all without anybody pushing us to buy the car. We came back, bought the car at a reasonable price, and it was delivered exactly when it was supposed to be. On the first service, the Service department was on time, and performed the job quickly. I have no complaints at all about this dealership. More
