Bait and Switch I had visited the dealership on a Saturday evening. I did not intend on buying that day. I wanted to see and test drive the car and get a price. After I had visited the dealership on a Saturday evening. I did not intend on buying that day. I wanted to see and test drive the car and get a price. After a couple hours we were able to get to a price but it was late and I did not want to make any rash decisions. We said we would most likely be back on Monday. Monday came and my father called to say that we would be coming in and ask if the price would be the same and to get all the paperwork together. He was told that the price would be the same. When we got there Ryan tried to charge an extra $800 that we did not agree to. He came up with some comparison about how if he was trying to sell me a calculator he brought for 5 dollars he would want to make a profit and charge more. I'm not sure what that had to do with anything since we had agreed to a different price. So we left. I was very upset and disappointed. A few minutes later we were called by his manager to come back and he will give us the price we had agreed on. We wound up going back and buying the car for the agreed upon price. It would have been more of a positive experience if we did not have to deal with the price change in the beginning. What was going to be an exciting and joyous occasion turned into an upsetting one. I'm just glad it is over and done with and I got my new car. More
