I bought a Jeep from this dealership. It has been a never ending nightmare working with this company. I purchased an extended warranty for the Jeep, thinking It would be helpful if an It has been a never ending nightmare working with this company. I purchased an extended warranty for the Jeep, thinking It would be helpful if anything were to go wrong with something the warranty covers. Well just under a year of owning the vehicle and the Power Transfer Unit broke. Before I took it back to Sands dealership, I did research and found there are several recalls on the Power Transfer Units for Jeeps (or "PTU"). Even more concerning, there were tons of people saying that upon inspection of the Power Transfer Unit bolts were missing! (either never put in at the factory, or they brake off extremely easily). I knew my PTU was covered under the Zurich warranty so I brought it in. No surprise to me the Sands service department told me the PTU was broken, and the bolts were missing. Here is where all the problems began. First Sands couldn't give me a loaner vehicle. I was told I had to go through my warranty and Sands would not provide me with a loaner car. I called back every day, for 10 days straight, requesting a loaner car and was told they "don't have any available, we only have 4 cars to loan out" (They are a car dealership and they don't cars to loan their customers?? sounds false) Next I had to wait over a week for a warranty specialist to look at my vehicle. Every time I called back it was a new excuse as to why my car wasn't looked at yet. Finally, ten days later, and ten days of having a rental vehicle, I was told that it wouldn't be covered by the warranty because it was a "bracket" holding the PTU that broke, and the bracket isn't covered in the drive train warranty. And because it isn't covered, the cost of my rental vehicle would also not be covered under the warranty and I have to pay for all of it. I'm going to call xx on this. There is a recall on the PTU, there is damage to the PTU, yet they skirted around the issue to avoid paying the cost covered under the warranty. Because of their failing as a company I was not provided with a loaner car, because of their failing as a company I had to wait 10 days for an answer. Because of their failing as a company I have to pay $4,000 to pick my car up, pay over $500 for a rental vehicle, all while I'm still paying my vehicle loan and the complete garbage warranty. Sands & Zurich (the warranty company) went out of their way to cover their bottom line and screw over the customer at every point. It never mattered to them how much this was hurting their loyal customer because they are going to get their money either way. I have no vehicle to get to work, I have no way to pay for this rental vehicle, I have to take another loan out just to get my car back. I can't pay for groceries, or rent, or my daughters birthday. I hope I can somehow work this all out and not loose my job. The lesson is clear: You do not matter to Sands Chrysler Jeep Dodge. Only the company's bottom line matters to them. More
I went to Sands Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for the first time last week to get my engine looked at and the whole experience made my day and actually made me want to give better customer service in my own jo time last week to get my engine looked at and the whole experience made my day and actually made me want to give better customer service in my own job. Just going in there , I was taken aback at how personable the service advisor, Phillip, was and I also felt like everyone else I came in contact with that worked there was very helpful and had great energy as well. Phillip was so friendly and went above and beyond to help me with an issue concerning my warranty . He went the extra mile to try everything for me before giving up . In addition to be so helpful Sands also did great work on my vehicle . I am very pleased overall and I highly recommend going to sands to get your vehicle worked on ! More
Terrible Service Department This place is a complete scam show. My wife's Jeep needed to go into the shop because the AM/FM part of the radio wasn't working. Dropped it off on Monday and they took 1/2 a day to just find my wife's jeep that was parked right out front. Once they found it, they wiggled a wire and tighten the screw and charged a 120 for a Diagnostic fee. I told them that the check engine light was on for code P0420 because I scanned it before I went, I told them to fix it if my warranty would cover the Cat Converter. It didn't so I said don't worry about since it would cost over 1300 bucks I would do it myself. they charged me 120 bucks to call my warranty company to see if it was covered. Complete xxxxxxxx. The gas tank fuel pump wasn't working so they suggested replacing the entire thing I agreed because it was under warranty, they waited a day to tell me this and then they said that the gas tank would take a day to get in. I told them I had rental coverage and they said they don't have loaners. Then Phillip said it would be a huge favor if I could call the warranty company to get the rental figured out so he didn't have to. This is the first place to ever charge 3 different diagnostic charges for doing only one thing. I wouldn't have even so mad if they only charged me for the radio but to charge to call the warranty company is just ridiculous More

I then called the dealership where I purchased the car and questioned them as to why it was not covered and was told that it should be but, to be sure, I should call and get the part number and call to verify. He gave me the number to call and then I called Sands for the part number. The lady who answered told me that she couldn’t get it for me, and that the person I was assigned to wasn’t there, but assured me that the service manager would call me back by the next day and explain why it wasn’t covered. I repeated that I only wanted the part number and she said he’d give it to me. The next day I received a voice message, not from a manager, but from the original person that I was assigned to who said that she saw that I made several inquiries (I only called them once for the part number) and that she had told me several times that it would not be covered. I did not appreciate the attitude I was given. All in all, Sands is okay but a little more training in customer service is needed. More

When I couldn't get there for a couple weeks since I am a full time caregiver they told me not to worry. Whenever I could get there was fine. I would get my next car from them if I moved back to PA because the treatment they gave me was excellent. More
