As a woman, I would never buy a truck or car from your dealership. On several occasions I have come out to test drive the Ford F-350 Dually Diesel. One time in particular I was with my Man Friend. I re dealership. On several occasions I have come out to test drive the Ford F-350 Dually Diesel. One time in particular I was with my Man Friend. I requested the sales person and the test drive. Three salesman completely ignored me and only introduced themselves to my man friend. The truck was for me not him. I was the one paying, not him. I was the one already driving a Ford, not him. I was the one that had the horse trailer with living quarters to pull with it, not him. When I attempted to ask questions, the salesman always addressed my man friend. Go take a class on how to treat the women that want to buy vehicles. The surveys will tell you that it is us, the women that make the decision on buying the vehicle. I have bought all my vehicles by myself which included a 2000 Ford F350 Dually Lariat and a 2007 Dodge 3500 Dually. If you want to sell some vehicles, you need to learn more about your customer. Also note, your salesman do not even understand the product they are selling. Grant it, the engine is new this year on the diesels, but they could not even answer basic questions. Also, why is it that your dealership never has any brochures. My final note, which is actually a compliment, is for your service department. They are great, so far for the work completed on my 2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition. If you haven't figured it out yet, I buy all the bells and whistles on my vehicles if the salesman respect me and can treat me like a good customer, as I am. More
I recently purchased a 2008 F150 from San Tan Ford in Gilbert, Arizona on February 21st, 2010. The vehicle I purchased had several cosmetic as well as engine modifications. These modifications include a Gilbert, Arizona on February 21st, 2010. The vehicle I purchased had several cosmetic as well as engine modifications. These modifications include a 2 inch lowering kit, custom dual exhaust, Rousch Supercharger, Nitto low profile tires and Lorenzo 22in rims. After purchasing the vehicle and doing extensive research based on the recomendation of a famiy friend who is a GM at a dealership nearby we found that these modifications void any and all Ford Warranties as well as any extended warranties that San Tan Ford offered. I was not made known by San Tan Ford that these modifications would void any warranties and was actually told that these warranties were in place and could be offered thus sold and added to the contract of this vehicle. After learning this information only three weeks after making this purchase I have visited 5 different Ford dealerships in the valley to gain confirmation on my findings as well as find out what the true value of the vehicle is. These dealerships include Sanderson Ford, Bell Ford, Power Ford of North Scottsdale, Earnhardt Ford and Berge Ford. All of these dealerships expressed to me that because of the modifications that had been made to the truck, the implied warranties could not be offered and that the modifications actually devalue the truck. I expressed my concern as to why a truck with several modifications that I was originaly told enhanced the value of the truck would actually devalue the truck and was told that they would have never sold the truck on their lot in the first place because they would be liable for any repair work that would be needed should the modified pieces break or cause another piece or part to break. In addition, after speaking with many service managers and a few managers of the dealerships that were visited I was told that if that truck had been taken in as a trade on their lots it would have been sold to an auction and never resold on their lots based on the liabilites, the devalued price tag and the lack of warranties. It has also been learned that if I had sold this truck to another buyer under the false pretenses that we were given, ie- Ford warranty that is 36,000 miles or 3 years bumper to bumber as well as having the extended warranty that was added valued at $2400, the new buyer could come back and sue me and hold me liable should they find out the truth about all warranties being voided. I feel that I was extremely mislead about the value of this truck and its inherent warranties. I feel that because I was misled into this vehicle it should be taken back and the original vehicle that was traded in as well as the money put as a downpayment be returned. This is an unfortunate situation and the actions the dealership took in selling this vehicle to an unsuspecting citizen not only shows the extent that they will go to take advantage of their customers but the deceit in which they will go about it especially in the type of economy we live in. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! THEY LIED, DAMAGED THE VEHICLE, VEHICLE DID NOT COME WITH AN OPTION THEY PROMISED. THEY WERE RUDE, CONDESINING, TRIED TO FORCE ME INTO A CAR I DID NOT WANT, EVEN GOING TO VEHICLE, VEHICLE DID NOT COME WITH AN OPTION THEY PROMISED. THEY WERE RUDE, CONDESINING, TRIED TO FORCE ME INTO A CAR I DID NOT WANT, EVEN GOING TO FAR AS TO PARK THE VEHICLE IN MY DRIVEWAY WHEN I WOULD NOT TAKE DELIVERY. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP. More
We pulled up to the service drive and there was one other vehicle there (should have been the first red flag). We moved recently and our usual dealership that we love (Earnhardt's) was a little out of the w vehicle there (should have been the first red flag). We moved recently and our usual dealership that we love (Earnhardt's) was a little out of the way. But at Earnhardt's they have someone greet you at your car so we assumed that's just how it worked. A couple of people walked by us and we waited for awhile until someone finally came out. He seemed irritated and not happy to see us. We told him the problem we were having. He didn't ask us to show him on the car what we meant, or ask for clarification. He just asked for my name and address and said he'd give me a call. I asked 'dont you need my phone number?' and he said, 'yeah go ahead' so I gave it to him. Then there was an awkward silence. I was waiting for him to check the mileage, walk around the car with me, thank me for coming in, SMILE even? but no, he was waiting for us to leave. So we did. I had a feeling he wouldn't call me when it was done and immediately got a bad feeling about leaving my car there. I called about 5 hours later to ask if my car was done and it was! They didn't call me to let me know this, I had to guess. They ordered the part they needed and said they'd call me when it came in. I called back a couple of days later to check and guess what? It was in! Once again, no phone call from them. Dropped the car off again to get it fixed and they said they'd call me when it was done. I called the next day and STRIKE THREE it was done and I hadn't received a single call once ever from this dealership. I went to pick up my car kind of already knowing that something was going to be wrong. And what a shocker, they ordered and replaced the wrong part in my vehicle. Had the advisor listened or paid any attention to us at all when we originally came in he would know this. Had the technician even looked at what he was replacing, HE would know that he was replacing a part that worked perfectly fine. Can they even do that under warranty? Is Ford paying for their ignorance? Needless to say, we didn't have them order the correct part, we took the car to another dealership. I will never, ever come back to this dealership and, neither will my mom's fusion, my dad's f250, my boyfriends f150 or my grandmother's explorer. More
This is the second service for 2001 Ranger XLT, 3.0L (first was about a year ago, also suspicious "repairs"). A year ago: Put truck in shop for maint issues - these were resolved, but new issues c (first was about a year ago, also suspicious "repairs"). A year ago: Put truck in shop for maint issues - these were resolved, but new issues cropped up each time I took the truck back to the dealer. Prior to the third visit, the starter was operating normally. After the third visit, the starter was screeching when cranking. Having the tools, time, and documentation, I removed the starter to check on the state of the starter gear and flywheel ring gear - both were in perfect condition, and appeared to be operating normally. But I discovered that the battery cable connecting at the starter had mysteriously became loose. The nut was unscrewed about 1/2 down the stud, and the cable was flopping loosely on the stud. (This should never happen - the nut was held in place by a red plastic cover to prevent accidental shorts across the battery. This cover also locks the nut in place.) While the cover was snapped into place onto the nut, the nut had become "loose". Hmmm.... This weekend (8/29/2009): I needed to have some parts replaced and overdue routine service (cabin dome lamp housing, get a quote to replace the tailgate, fuel filter, A/C service, brake service, oil change, oil filter, rotate tires, coolant flush). Most of the routine service seems to have been performed (but I'm taking their word for it). They said they saw dirty hydraulic fluid (power steering), and recommended changing it and the rear differential oil, and transmission fluid (about $500 for diff, tranny, and hyd fluid, seems very high), tires were worn and needed replacement (possibly true, checking this evening). The A/C refrigerant was low (not surprising - first service in 8 years), but the A/C was still working fairly well, and I wanted to keep it that way. They said they found a leak in one of the A/C hoses, and wanted to replace the hose ($480, and they didn't have it in stock). I told them to just add refrigerant ($100) and I would have to budget for the hose later. They didn't have the dome lamp housing ($90), and couldn't find one in the valley. They couldn't provide a complete quote on the tailgate either, but what they did say was in line with online research. I got the truck back, but didn't realize the A/C wasn't working (it did seem warmer than it should have, but I was very hot and sweaty, and couldn't be sure). I had little reason to trust them before this visit, and after I examine the tires and A/C tonight, I may have strong reason to never go back again. More
Took my F150 on for its schedueled oil change and inspection yesterday, boy was i surprised when i got home from work that night and looked it over. First, off both side of the cowling molding are br inspection yesterday, boy was i surprised when i got home from work that night and looked it over. First, off both side of the cowling molding are broken, window molding on driver side is torn off and broken someone stuffed it down to hold it in place like i wouldnt notice. Second, my fender flair on the front driver side is broken, and you can only buy those in sets of four when you need to replace one at the cost of $500. Third, chipped paint at the top of my window and swirl marks in the paint along both sides of the truck. Lastly, greasy finger prints all along the doors and bedsides and grease inside my truck on the leather interior front and rear seats. The very first call i get from them regarding my truck after i dropped it off for its oil change was one saying my oil plug needed to be replaced because it was leaking alot of oil. I found this odd since my truck is garage kept and rarely driven and have never had a spot of oil under it, so im sure that was damaged there. Also truck came back with a lack of power as if it were detuned, rear end loose along with the tail gate. This is not the first time ive had trouble with them. Each time the truck goes in Im working on something they did wrong or cleaning it up. The very first time i had it serviced there my AFE intake was partially disassembled and never put back together, so i had to replace clamps and hose sections on that. They agreed to fix the damage on my truck they consider to "possibly" be their fault but not everything i listed. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone for buying a vehicle or service its been nothing but a nightmare for me with both. More
I went in on an internet price advertised with the number referenced. I called first to confirm how it worked, but when I passed over my driver's lisence to dtest drive it, they ran a credit report apparent referenced. I called first to confirm how it worked, but when I passed over my driver's lisence to dtest drive it, they ran a credit report apparently. The sticker price on the vehicle was well above the internet advertised price on the exact car, they explained it was wrong and the sticker was their price. Bait and switch by 7.000.00 did not sound appealing, ao I said I wasn't interested in their car or deal and left. I called the Az attorney generals office about the fraudulent internet ad. Days later I get a letter saying that they refused my credit application. WHAT????? I have perfect credit and a high score, and never even applied. Terrible, terrible company.....run the other way. We looked at the Escape, as we considered trading in our existing car until the Cars for Clunkers program. We didn't drive our "clunker" into the dealership, and since we didn't, our salesperson wouldn't ev existing car until the Cars for Clunkers program. We didn't drive our "clunker" into the dealership, and since we didn't, our salesperson wouldn't even give us a price on the new car. In fact, the sales manager told our salesperson not to "waste his f---ing time with us until we came back with our trade-in." It was amazing they wouldn't even give us a price, because we were the only customers in the entire dealership. Salespeople were talking to each other and had nothing to do. I will never go here again, and I will tell everyone about the poor service we received here. More

Went to San Tan Ford, 45 miles from our home, on Sat 4/11/09 to look at a used car they had advertised online. Met with a salesman named John "Red" Baran. Test drove the car & explained that we would 4/11/09 to look at a used car they had advertised online. Met with a salesman named John "Red" Baran. Test drove the car & explained that we would be paying cash. Car was nice & met our needs. There were concerns that I wanted my mechanic to look at. I asked Red if I can take the car to my mechanic. He assured me that would be no problem. He would just put dealer plates on & we can have it checked. He asked that I call him on Monday & we can set it up. He confirmed with his manager that it would be ok. I shook hands with Red & his manager before leaving the dealership. On Mon, 4/13/09, I called Red. I explained that I would like to take the car to my mechanic as we discussed on Saturday. He said he would be at the dealership at 1pm. I arrived at San Tan Ford around 1:10PM. He recognized me & we went inside. He asked if I wanted to take another test drive, & I explained that as I had told him on the phone, I was here to take the car to my mechanic. I would be leaving my 08 Honda Odyssey there while I did this. Red said he would have to ask his manager. He says that the Manager will only let me take the car if he runs a credit report on me. This was not acceptable & contrary to what I had been told at this dealership on Sat as well as what I had experienced at other dealerships. I told this to Red & he went back to his manager. He came back & explained that the manager insisted that was the only way he would let me take the car. He also stated that they could sell the car to me and stipulate in the contract that I could return it if my mechanic did not approve. So basically, this dealership, the salesperson, and his manager LIED to me on numerous occasions in order to have me come back to the dealership with no intention to follow through on what they had told me. I left. I wasted over 2.5 hours of my time & 90 miles worth of gas and depreciation on my car. This is unacceptable and a VERY bad way to serve potential customers. More
