This dealership is a total joke!! San Leandro Chrysler Jeep is a complete and total joke!! Every department from sales to service to parts is just awful. Getting someone on the phone t San Leandro Chrysler Jeep is a complete and total joke!! Every department from sales to service to parts is just awful. Getting someone on the phone to schedule a service appointment is next to impossible. I have regretted purchasing my vehicle (and got suckered into buying a service contract, too!) ever since. Awful place - horrible people - look elsewhere for your needs. More

Dishonest sales reps The dealership had a special posted on its website (as of 1/6/2019) stating that a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Limited was available for $19,995. I somewha The dealership had a special posted on its website (as of 1/6/2019) stating that a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Limited was available for $19,995. I somewhat expected this to be an erroneous ad, but I went to the dealership to see if they would honor it. When I arrived, the salesman did seem surprised and went back to the office to inquire. He came back and said they would honor it. I proceeded to test drive the van with him. Then he started the financing paperwork, had me enter all of my personal information, and then ran a credit check for the loan. After running the credit check, a manager came over and said they were not going to honor the deal any more. He then tried to sell me a 2018 Pacifica L (base model) for the same price or the same Pacifica Limited which they had previously said they would sell for $19,995 but now the price would be $33,000+. Of course I tried to reason that this was incredibly poor treatment of a potential customer, but they wouldn't budge. Instead, I have to take the credit hit because of the loan application, and the dealership offered nothing to make it up. More
Avoid at all costs Bought a used car from this dealership. When I thought that we had agreed on a certain price , which we wrote on a paper including costs, the salesman Bought a used car from this dealership. When I thought that we had agreed on a certain price , which we wrote on a paper including costs, the salesman would leave and come back with a NEW paper with a price higher than the one we agreed on. He said the he talked to the owner and the owner said this was the new price. This happened 4 times! Ridiculous. They really push you to finance the vehicle btw. And dont give them your phone number because they will call you and text you twenty times a day for a few weeks from different numbers. I do not recommend going to this dealership. A new low in sales. More
Bought a new Dodge Journey here because of great price. We had gone to a dealership in Vallejo but couldn't afford because of all the "extra's". They were even going to give me a .9% loan. Saw a cheap Journ We had gone to a dealership in Vallejo but couldn't afford because of all the "extra's". They were even going to give me a .9% loan. Saw a cheap Journey online at San Leandro. I called told them which one I wanted etc...told me to come on in. It was day after Thanksgiving 2017. Went in and they called the salesman and I told him who I was. Happy to see me, my husband & I went with him. He looked up the vehicle, he asked us a few questions & said he would be right back. Next, I hear him talking to a couple that came in and he tells them to hold on. Then he leaves. We sat at his desk for almost an hour. No one tells us anything. I ask someone if I can get some water. He shows me where to go. Then our salesman comes back and asks us if everything is ok and tells us to sit where the tv room is that they are getting the vehicle and the manager will here in a minute. 20 mins later, we fill out the paperwork then find out the lowest interest rate is 4.99% because we have excellent credit. Told him abt Vallejo. Tells me its a different dealership, etc...I ask them what good deal are they giving on day after Thanksgiving and says 90 days no payment. Ok, we decided to take vehicle anyway. Have to wait another 40 mins while they make sure vehicle is washed. The other couple that he helped have already bought their vehicle & are gone. Not us! Go to loan area & do more paper work. After we are done, Mr. Brown wants to know if we like our new vehicle. I told him we havent seen it yet. He couldnt believe it. Called the salesman over. He gave him an excuse and we went to look at vehicle. He opened door and told me that everything is self explainitory. We were there from 10:30 am til 5:00pm. Then, the salesman kept begging me to PLEASE give him a good review!!! A couple weeks later, we get a notice of how much our monthly payment will be and guess what?! They never gave us the 90 days as promised. Left message with Mr. Brown. Still waiting for a call back! 5 & 1/2 mos. later! Wish I had gone back to Vallejo! Horrible experience. I wish Mr. J still worked there! More

If you can't have a good manager you will fail in all other areas to deliver superior service. It's amazing that you can have employees that can hang up on you and disrespect you on the phone and then when I call into the manager to speak to them they simply ignore it. This is a recipe for disaster. More

General Manager is weak and ineffective Needed help with a problem that the dealership created. The owner/ GM flatly refused to help. Responded to me with an email in BOLD letters telling m Needed help with a problem that the dealership created. The owner/ GM flatly refused to help. Responded to me with an email in BOLD letters telling me her wouldn't do the right thing and assist me in correcting a problem that the dealership acknowledged they created. Alex Gonzalez , GM , is a poor representative of the Chrysler brand and probably a major reason this dealership has such a pathetically low Dealer Rating. More

You wont believe this Found a truck I wanted on the Dodge/Ram inventory search = San Leandro Dodge/Ram. Went to the dealerships website and the truck was still there. It Found a truck I wanted on the Dodge/Ram inventory search = San Leandro Dodge/Ram. Went to the dealerships website and the truck was still there. It was marked as the hot deal of the day with a reduced price. Stated dealership had discounted the truck by 10k, then there was a 3k Ram incentive. This was a 2500 4x4. Talked to a salesman and got an online quote. I used the Kelly Bluebook app on the Dodge/Ram website to determine how much trade in value I would have before leaving. Wife and I drove down there and arrived at 215PM. Dealership couldn't find the salesman for 30 minutes. When my wife and I found him he took us for a ride to look for the truck in storage parking lots because it wasn't at the dealership. Couldn't find it. At about 4pm I suggested that they start looking at my trade in to save time and run my credit. At about 5pm they found the truck but it wouldn't start. The finance manager said we were all approved and to come sign the paperwork. I told him I wasn't signing a contract to buy a truck I hadn't seen or driven yet. He asked me if the salesman knew that. Uh....duh? Eventually the salesman gave us a ride to go look at it then back to the dealership again. Salesman said they were going to jump start it. One of the many people identified as a manager of some sort came to talk to us and lowballed my trade in value by less than 50% of Kelly Bluebook. We agreed on a interest rate. Still no truck. Salesman shows up again it still wouldn't start. I told him to go put a new battery in it and he said the shop was closed and locked up. I then told him to go take a battery out of another truck and get it running. At 8pm he comes back saying he has been working on changing the battery for hours and doesn't have the right tools. I told him to take me to an auto parts place and I would buy tools. He doesn't want to do that and leaves again. 9pm, the time of night when the dealership closes, he comes back and said he cant start it. I told him again to take me to the auto parts store. This time he agrees. I buy some tools and he takes me to the storage yard. The truck is stuck behind 3 other vehicles and is backed up against a wall with ivy growing on the bed and landscaping shrubs growing up through the axle and rear bumper. I swap batteries with another truck and it starts but it can only be moved 5 feet because of the other parked trucks. Another salesman leaves to go get the keys to the other trucks so they can be moved and we can finally go on a test drive. It has been about 5 1/2 hours now and in that time the battery couldn't be changed and all the other trucks couldn't be moved? I see that the bed of the truck has a mound of sticks, leaves and paper in it. An opossum climbs out of the bed of the truck onto the rear bumper then onto the ground. It wanders in circles confused then takes off. The other salesman comes back with keys but they are the wrong ones so we leave. I tell the salesman to get the truck running and cleaned and I will come back the following day. We get home at 11pm. The next day when I call to see if they are ready for me the phone disconnects twice? The salesman and the sales manager are not available. I go onto their chat window on their website and ask if the sales manager is there and am told they will go get him. My chat session is then disconnected. Huh? I find another truck 4 hours away from me in Nevada and happily drive there because they gave me full bluebook value on my trade in truck and offer me a Ram 3500 for less than the price of the San Leandro Ram 2500. They also get me an interest rate 1% lower than San Leandro said I could qualify for. More
