I purchased a 2013 Caravan on 5 Jan, my salesman was Filbert "Fil" Swift. In the evening of 5 Jan we were surprised to find the 2nd row windows did not open. After some research on the internet we learn Filbert "Fil" Swift. In the evening of 5 Jan we were surprised to find the 2nd row windows did not open. After some research on the internet we learned that the opening of 2nd row windows is an option an apparently only offered on the SRT model and above. On Monday, I returned to the dealer to retrive a paid of glasses we thought we had left in our trade-in, while waiting for Fil to look for the glasses, I mentioned to one of the salespeople our surprise about the windows and were told if you want bring it back in and pick another caravan out. We took them up on their offer and drove away with a different caravan about 3 hours later. During the first and second visit, my sales person Fil worked very closley with us running back and forth between the front desk to our little table getting answers to our questions and trying to get the best trade in allowance possible along with all the other special discounts. I had Fil running from the side lot, to the front lot a couple of times trying to get information on different vehicle. We test drove at least two vehicles, all the time Fil was professional and NOT ONE TIME did Fil or anyone pressure us in any mannor allowing us to take our time and talk amoung ourselves before we made a decision. They were especially understanding when we broght back the first caravan, and again allowing us all the time necessary to make a decision. While the second Caravan did cost more that what we really planned on spending, it is well worth having the ability to open the 2nd row windows. In 2009, while looking for a Caravan at Mission Dodge, ( the previous name of this dealership) I walked away and made my purchase elsewhere. The new owners of this business, and the people that work here really treated us right. Purchasing a new vehicle is always a long drawn out process, (worse than buying a house) even if you have already obtained financing. Fil and the other people at this dealership made this the most pleasant experience I have ever had in a car dealership. I sincerely recommend this dealership if your looking to purchased a new or even a used vehicle, they will earn your business just as they have earned my business and praise. More
Jigs Patel was great! His follow up with me was very good, yet not overpowering. He is definitely an asset to your company. Keith was also very good with his numbers. I am not sure how this dealer has SO many high star ratings here. I can't be the only person that has had this much trouble with this deal since it was sold to Florida and reopened. It leads me to be ratings here. I can't be the only person that has had this much trouble with this deal since it was sold to Florida and reopened. It leads me to believe much of these reviews are false. At any rate where to begin. Trade in wasn't paid in a timely manner. I had to hound them 3 times to get it paid off and it had to go to the top of the food chain at the dealership to get done. I paid a considerable amount for this "used" car and the reason I mention that is because it had a list of things wrong with it that I documented and took to them for repair. At first the sales associate Jigs pushed back and I mentioned to him I'm not buying a garbage 4,000 dollar cash car and I want everything on the list fixed. (I hadn't even taken the car off the lot yet). I was assured all would be fixed. They kept the car for 2 weeks claiming one of the problems, the left rear window that wouldn't roll down, was taking a long time to get the part. When I got the car back the window worked but a month later broke again. The fixed all the stupid plastic buttons but didn't fix anything major on the car I asked to be fixed which they said they would. Next on the list they sold me a 3rd party extended warranty when one existed from Chrysler already. I took my car to the local New Braunfels dealer who ran the VIN in their system and found the warranty. I argued with New Braunfels that wasn't possible and they assured me it was and that Chrysler was covering the cruise control fix under this warranty (cruise control IS NOT POWERTRAIN). Since the NB dealer looked it up and showed me it was under my name SOMEONE at San Antonio Chrysler Dodge Jeep must have had it transferred under my name so someone must have known about it. The NB dealer showed me it was about to expire in 4/2013 or 80,000 miles. The dealer sold me another warranty for 4 years or 80,000 miles. Had I of known the car already had one extended into next year I would have saved myself the 2,500 but they decided to deceive me instead. I also took it back to the NB dealer to have the car fixed when a coolant leak developed, again under the Chrysler warranty they replaced the radiator. Again not a powertrain item. Moving on to the next item. They can't get me my plates. I called when the first set of paper plates expired and they told me to come in THE DAY it expired and bring my insurance. I drove from New Braunfels into their dealer just inside 1604 and the receptionist they use to buffer themselves between them and their customer post sale told me the person wasn't in and I couldn't get my paper plate that day. After they told me to drive in. She then told me to give her my insurance so she can make a copy so they could email me the plate. I was completely dumbfounded. You mean EMAILING WAS AN OPTION THIS WHOLE TIME?????????? I DIDN'T HAVE TO DRIVE IN????? I got the car in middle September. Plates expired in November the first time. Then another month goes by in December and we start all over. This time when I raise a fuss the GM finally gets on the line to sell me some story about the title in Hawaii (and the receptionist tells me Bexar County is just backed up and its taking a while, another lie). Then the GM proceeds to argue with me about the extended warranty and the New Braunfels dealer was wrong. He tells me to fax my insurance AGAIN because it was expiring at the end of December and something about someone needing over 30 days on the insurance card to get another temp tag. Blah blah THREE fax attempts later I've heard nothing back yet and I'm still driving on expired plates. Here we are coming up to middle January and I still have no plates (almost 4 months of ownership). So I'm down 300 bux in repairs. No one calls me back about anything. The finance guy Keith told the receptionist THREE times he'd call me back and never did (least that's what the receptionist told me). The GM called me back ONCE about his story on why they can't figure out how to obtain the title. And some random service guy called me about fixing the coolant leak because he saw my story on the BBB website where I clearly stated the leak was already fixed. Great job. Brilliant. So I've had to argue with them on everything. They didn't do anything in a timely manner EXCEPT getting the loan setup with my bank obviously so they can get their money and go play golf or something. And now the car suddenly has an oil leak I discovered today. So I'm far past the last straw. This place is obviously cheating its customers STILL. From here I'm going to Kens 5, local paper, the owners in Florida, a lawyer I've used in the past for a few things, and whoever else will listen to me. They have "claimed" they have called me but I have no voice mails from missed calls. They have "claimed" they have emailed me but who in the world "emails" people about business issues. YOU CALL YOUR CUSTOMERS. I have seen no such emails. And now they haven't returned any faxes I've sent them. I'll find out from my telco if that number I faxed to has faxed me back. They should not be allowed to do this to people. They've had long enough to resolve most these challenges. It's obvious they are still operating under the same practices but changed their name in hopes of fooling people. More
