The first time I stopped in the car I wanted to see had a dead battery. Despite that hiccup, the over all busting process was very good. I was not pleased with the dealership practice of adding $2,000 of dea dead battery. Despite that hiccup, the over all busting process was very good. I was not pleased with the dealership practice of adding $2,000 of dealer options of wheel locks, nitrogen fill for the tires and paint protectant. I would have not opted for this if given the choice. Sam Houston works very hard to provide the best sales experience possible. More

I purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee from this dealership, and within 48 hours, found a major coolant leak. I immediately contacted my salesman, and he got a manager named Spencer to call me to d dealership, and within 48 hours, found a major coolant leak. I immediately contacted my salesman, and he got a manager named Spencer to call me to discuss the issue. Since I lived 1.5 hours away, Spencer offer to have it towed back to their dealership but immediately changed his mind and suggested I take it to a local shop for diagnosis but emphasized not another dealership. I questioned why and he said he wants an “honest diagnostic” but promised to reimburse the diagnostic fee because that was my biggest concern since I should not be responsible for one. I took it to Midas that same day and they confirmed a cracked water pump assembly and that the head gasket needs to be replaced. I paid $195 for the diagnostic and sent Spencer the invoice and photos as he asked. He calls to say that it’s expensive and not sure if it’ll be covered but will speak to his manager and will follow back up. He then finally calls back the next day, after I kept calling, claiming "good news" - they will fix it and send a tow truck to get it to their dealer instead. He says that they supposedly already replaced the water pump assembly prior to selling it so it might be a faulty one and is “now” covered under that. I said cool, what about reimbursement for the diagnostic fee and a rental? He then refused both saying that the dealership is already handling repairs and towing "out of good will." He continues and says regardless I would have paid for one “if they weren’t in the picture.” So, if the dealership supposedly replaced the water pump recently when they realized it was damaged during an inspection PRIOR to me even purchasing it and it fails within 48 hours of ME PURCHASING IT, how in the world is the dealer NOT part of the picture??? After that I asked to speak to someone else cause I refused to continue talking to him. His manager Dennis supposedly told him he’ll call me to talk. After more hours of delays and my persistence, Dennis finally called me and agreed to reimburse the diagnostic fee once repairs are done to the car. Didn’t sound believable but I was too tired to argue and just want my car to be fixed. Once the repairs were done the next day, I drove 1.5 hours to get the car and now I’m told I have to wait to get a copy of the repair order(s) and get my reimburse because it’s a “Saturday” and that they’ll process it the next business day. Instead of arguing again, I just leave. After the 1.5hrs drive home from the dealership, I realized the car is still leaking coolant. I’m just at that point I don’t even want to do deal with them anymore and feel embarrassed I even did business with this place. Why am I fighting tooth and nail with the dealership on doing the right thing? I could understand if I came back months later about an issue with the car, but this LITERALLY failed within 48 hours of me buying it and I told them during the same time frame and the issue is still not fixed! Not even 150 miles put on the car and 90 of it was driving back home from the dealer when I first got it. This is by far the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. More
