I was very hard to reach during the trip that weekend that took me through the Dallas area on Sunday and back through on Tuesday. Even though I had terrible cell phone reception and limited opportunity to see e-mail, she still worked at contacting me and was willing to stay late Tuesday night to show me the car I wanted to look at. And there was NO way she actually knew I was really coming until it was already past her usual quitting time that day. She went the extra distance for me and my wife. I'll bet she does for you, too. Service department had left a bitter taste in my mouth every time I went in or even talked on the phone. They are always correct and you are an the sucker who doesn't know what you are talking about. 2013 Ford Escape Transmission issues before 60K miles We dropped off our vehicle at Sam Pack Five Star Ford in Carrollton right after it closed for the evening. We did receive a call the next morning stat We dropped off our vehicle at Sam Pack Five Star Ford in Carrollton right after it closed for the evening. We did receive a call the next morning stating that it would maybe take a day or two to even diagnose the issue and that the service could take up to 2 weeks. They also mentioned it would be around $100 for diagnosing the issue. We were not given the option for any type of courtesy vehicle as Clay mentioned that they have not done that in over 10 years now. They should provide some kind of rental reimbursement then I would think for a car that is roughly only 2 years old and having transmission issues. Will not return here for service again or for future purchases. More

Great Auto buying experience from beginning to end We visited 5 dealerships in our search for a car. We've done the car search many many times and usually resign ourselves to encountering the prevalen We visited 5 dealerships in our search for a car. We've done the car search many many times and usually resign ourselves to encountering the prevalent lack of professionalism and the "pushiness". Our solution? We either walk out or we ask for a ridiculous price on the car we are looking at (essentially the dealer will pay for the bad experience with a huge markdown) and the dealership will show us the door... which is where we wanted to go in the first place :-) We encountered 2 good dealerships... one was pretty good and the other was excellent. The "excellent" was Sam Pack's Ford of Carrollton. Jose greeted us and immediately turned our search into his search. The focus was to find the "right" auto... no matter how many we had to look at. I think I was ready to settle and end the search because I was tired, but Jose was ready to turn it in to an all day affair, if need be, in order to find the right automobile for us and I really appreciate that. That's hard to find. I also appreciate the transparency when it came to the price. They didn't ask me what I wanted my payment to be and they didn't start haggling with a piece of paper containing payment figures that resemble my mortgage payments. They showed me the price of the car with rebates applied and shaved down to something reasonable... go figure! Then we could talk about how we wanted to pay for it... tradein/downpayment/financing... what a concept. All in all it was a great experience.
