Absolute worst service experience and quality I've yet experienced in USA. Took my F150 for couple repairs and most of the stuff, I still needed to come back. EX: -Engine Oil change: Underfilled by 3 Qu experienced in USA. Took my F150 for couple repairs and most of the stuff, I still needed to come back. EX: -Engine Oil change: Underfilled by 3 Quarts! I went back and told Service Advisor Aaron and told me "nah, if this was low there would be very loud noise in the engine ... [For sure, once it definitely failed] - Transmission oil change: Didn't changed the old filter & with oil at operating temperature, it was not to the spec in the dip stick. I went back and told Service Advisor Aaron that right after service the transmission was shifting harder and told me "Its normal that after you put fresh fluid, the behavior will change" --> First time I've heard that is expected that your MPG & Transmission gets WORSE after a full-on tune up to engine, trans & 4by4 service. - Installed a new Rear view camera --> The forgot to activate the park assist lines -Tire rotation: Lost a lugnut due to being under torqued and flew off - Tire pressure: Its expected that in their "the works" package, they set up the tires and confirmed tire pressure ... tires would very up to 5 PSI between them and individual tire pressure are even displayed on the IPC Screen. - Time to service. I took my vehicle in on Jan 21rst 2025 after making the appointment on Dec 2024. They accepted me vehicle but got to work on it on first week of February. I understand labor shortage but can't they plan ahead after seeing the volume of appointments? Even more so those done a month in advance? --> That is just a lack of having a customer centric approach. Other dealerships in town (Like Bloomington Auto Mall) give your vehicle a free car wash ... for the labor rate Sam Leman Ford charges, that would at least help improve customer sat. After 3 weeks in Service for a tune-up and couple extra asks, seeing my truck all dirty after delivery, definitely made me mad. Heller Ford 30 min away will be my preferred dealer after this. I don't believe I will voluntarily ever return to Sam Leman Ford in Bloomington, IL if I can't even trust this place to torque the lug nuts after a tire rotation and underfilling the engine oil ... something as rutinary, done in the most catastrophically wrong way. Service guy told me my brand new Maverick could now have the factory vinyl b pillar sticker warranties, and pretended it was after market ...I had to point out every Maverick on the lot has the same part. He then took photos and said the manager would reach out to let me know if it was covered. I took it to 2 other ford dealers and they said it was very obviously covered. This whole place is filled with xxxx bags. I wish I could give 0 stars. Also the manager never called. More

Aside from the great initial purchase experience, the follow up when I had issues has been absolutely abysmal. I had traded in my old truck for a new one for my business. Adam, along with everyone else I talked to at the dealership knew this. After having some issues with my truck, it was revealed that my warranty was not valid because I was sold a non-commercial warranty. Basically, I paid nearly $3,000 for a worthless warranty. I ended up having to pay $4,600 dollars to fix the issues with my truck. After multiple conversations with title/financial people at Sam Leman about what the recourse would be -where can we go from here? I have a warranty that I paid for that I can't use. I was assured I could at least get a commercial endorsement (with no additional cost) on my existing "warranty" that would cover the truck for the remainder of the 150,000 mile warranty (I had 110,000 miles on the truck at the time). Ultimately, I got passed off onto the Manager, Josh, who, after listening to my circumstances, has done absolutely nothing. I have called many, many times to which I am "assured" he's not ignoring me, and will call me back. He never calls back. So here I am. I have a 2020 F250 that I effectively paid $7,600 for a warranty for that is worthless, my truck is not covered for any future issues, and Sam Leman Ford couldn't care less about this customer, because in their mind, I'm from out of state and they'll never see me again. The manager, Josh, is basically holding out until I eventually give up "annoying him" by hoping he'll do the right thing and rectify the mistake the personnel in his dealership made in the first place. My take away from this whole experience has been, Sam Leman Ford is happy to take your money and will forget about you after they have it. More
