My wife wanted a new car and settled on the Honda Fit. We got prices from three Honda dealers in the area from USAA's car buying service. Of the three, McKenney/Salinas was the best by several hundred dollar got prices from three Honda dealers in the area from USAA's car buying service. Of the three, McKenney/Salinas was the best by several hundred dollars and twelve hundred less than one of them. Every other dealer told us it was a Bait & Switch. We got an Out-The-Door price emailed to us, and let two of the dealers look at it. All of the other dealers harped on how this car is number one in small affordable cars and were in such demand that they rarely had any in, or that the earthquake in Japan made them "all but impossible" to get so they didn't discount them much, if at all. Not only would the others not come close, one said he could buy cars at M/S price quote to us because it was cheaper than he bought them. We walked out of McKenney/ Salinas after one hour with a new car and it came in at two dollars less than we were quoted and an interest rate a full point below the one we walked in with. I am a skeptic by nature and I've gotten more so over the years. I was braced for the inevitable stacking of hidden costs, and must haves, but no one in the dealership applied any pressure to add anything to the car to jack up the price. I am sixty-two years old and I have never bought a car with the same ease, or left smiling. We will never buy another new car from any other area dealership. I cannot say enough about these people without it appearing to be paid advertising. More
