It was very easy. It only took 35 to 45 minutes to do paper work and sign on the car. greatest car buying experience ever without perfect credit. Every person we came in contact with had a wonderful attitude. At no point did we feel pushed or manipulated into buying anything. This was the best car buying experience that I have ever had. I spoke with both David and Matt Huffman prior to the deal. I truly don't like having to car shop, mainly due to high pressure sales tactics that you find being used at most dealerships. THIS WAS A NO HASSLE, NO PRESSURE, NO GIMMICK DEAL. When talking to these guys I told them what I wanted to do. I got the exact pricing I was looking for on this car. The dock and documentation fees were reasonable. This car was purchased for my wife. Both she and I have known David for over 20 years. He is a honest man, who will take car of you. We have also known Matt for most of his life. He to is a man of integrity. If you are in the market for a car in the Gastonia area, I would highly recommend this dealership, and this salesman. We have enjoyed purchasing vehicles from McKenney Honda for our last 3 new vehicles. We are treated like friends when we come by for service. They know our names and make us feel important. We always get service appointments quickly and have never had to wait more than one day for service. All oil changes are handled the same day I call. Lamar has been in the service dept for a long time as has Gary. This says something about the product and the work environment. It gives us confidence in the product and in having our vehicle serviced here. The salesman, Bobby Ford, went out of his way to make the buying process comfortable for us. He met our specific scheduling needs for test drive and pick up and paper process for our purchase. Marvin in finance knew us from our previous 2 sales and we felt like he trusted us as much as we trusted him. Another small thing that we like about McKenney Honda is the snack area for customers that come in for service or sales. It might sound like something small but I am a mother of a young boy and he really does not like coming to the car dealer and waiting for an oil change or tire rotation. It really helps that the snack area has things that he can choose from to enjoy during that time. And my son likes playing on the I-pads that are for check out. More
We had a great experience buying a 2005 Mazda MPV with this dealership. Jasper was our salesman and he was very nice. He made sure the car had a fresh oil change and even topped off the gas tank for us. Wow!!! We did, however, have a negative exerience. The morning after driving our "new" car home, my husband backed it out of the garage just to discover a large puddle of oil. This was a Sunday morning when most auto shops are closed. Fortunately, we have a Walmart Auto Center nearby. Turns out whomever did the oil change at McKenney-Salinas didn't put the plug on correctly causing nearly all of the oil to drain out. So thankful we caught this before driving our recently purchased vehicle around town. That could have left us with an extremely expensive repair bill! More
