A Dealership of Lemons. I lease a 2012 Jeep Cherokee and it's been recalled 6 times. Yes, 6 times. The latest recall? S55/NHTSA 16V-529 states, "The loss of motive power coul I lease a 2012 Jeep Cherokee and it's been recalled 6 times. Yes, 6 times. The latest recall? S55/NHTSA 16V-529 states, "The loss of motive power could cause a crash without warning... We're sorry for any inconvenience, but we are sincerely concerned about your safety." What does that mean? Welp, it happened to me on three different occasions—the engine shuts off while driving. At random times, like when you're cruising on the 78. Yeah, that's a loss of motive power. On October 24th, I took it into Salerno Duane for the latest recall, an issue with the gas tank, grinding noise when I turn the wheel and a banging noise under the hood. Butch, the counter guy, said they'd look at the following day. After I dropped it off, I went across to the dealership to discuss the history of issues I've had with it. Their concern was genuine as I have two young children, but their only objective was to upsell me into a new lease for 39-months. When I told them I wasn't interested in another Jeep (never again!) they flat out refused to help me. I demanded they give me info on NJ lemon laws and was told pulling the records was a big part of the process. I left with the number. My wife called back to the next day and was told they weren't going to look at it until Thursday OF THE FOLLOWING WEEK! I went back the next morning (without telling them I was on my way) to get it. Butch immediately recognized me and said there was nothing wrong with it. Nothing. Butch then went on to say they needed to check with Jeep about the gas tank problems and that I needed the recall issue fixed. Nothing wrong, huh? I took it down to Route 18 Auto and they repaired the differential (grinding noise), fixed the banging noise, replaced the air filter AND took care of the recall issue. The entire episode cost me over $1,000.00 for rental cars and 2 days worth of vacations days from work. Thankfully, Ann Schulz at Route 18 Auto helped us immensely with a loaner. I contacted Jeep and told them what happened. They promised to call back in 2 days. That was a week ago. I work in Social Media, and believe me, I'm spreading the word: Do not go to Salerno Duane. #NeverJeep #NeverDuaneSalerno More

Never going anywhere else I'm new to the area and inexperienced in collision repairs, and I knew there was a chance a body shop would take advantage of that. However I never felt that way at all with this body shop. I only interacted with Troy and he took great care of me- he was always prompt, thorough, and thoughtful. I brought my car in on what was probably the busiest week of the year and he made time for me, even as a new customer. I'll never go anywhere else for body work. More

He was a pleasure to work with, extremely friendly, easily accesible via telephone and email, happy to answer any and all questions, and provided timely updates and kept me "in-the-loop" throughout the repair process. He went out of his way to explain various aspects of the process, which was beyond what he would be required to do normally/beyond what I expected. His past experience and close working relationship with my insurance company made the estimate and payment process much easier than expected. Thanks to Troy and the body shop for all their help. More
Service poor. 3 time not a charm. Three time I've brought my Jeep service. 1st time ok. 2nd time horrible and had to bring back at least twice and kept for almost a 3 time not a charm. Three time I've brought my Jeep service. 1st time ok. 2nd time horrible and had to bring back at least twice and kept for almost a week. 3rd time Jeep has been on the lot for over 48hrs and never even got looked at. Now I need to re-book another appointment an week later. Given I need to Jeep to commute to work the inconvenience is brutal. Seriously question whether I would buy another vehicle from this dealership. More

They have told me that it would "probably be ready" for the last 5 business days, which means that for th Let's see, they have had my car for a month. They have told me that it would "probably be ready" for the last 5 business days, which means that for the last 5 business days I have had to make arrangements for it to get picked up... only to be told that it would "probably be ready" tomorrow. I'm not even going to get into how much they royally screwed up on getting the warrantee submitted. Here's the thing, I know a mechanic less than a half a mile away who would have been able to take the whole thing apart and put it back together again three times by now, and his is a *very* busy shop. If this were something which I could generally believe would take that long, I would be a bit more patient, but they have showed little competency and less consideration. They are rude and they do not return phone calls, and I want my vehicle back. More
