Hi Mr. Morrow, I would like to apologize for the problems that you had while purchasing a vehicle from us. I agree that the offer to provide a lower interest rate with a warranty purchase is unacceptable. I spoke with Hoss, the finance director. He explained that he did indeed offer a lower interest rate at the same time as a warranty purchase, but the two were not linked. He admitted that his explanation was potentially not as clear as it could have been and that he can see how you understood it as you have explained. He asked me to apologize on his behalf as well and that if you would like to cancel the extended warranty it would not affect the interest rate. Hoss has assured me that moving forward, he will be more descriptive in this type of situation to avoid future misunderstandings. In purchasing a new vehicle, every customer should expect the car to be delivered with all things in working order. There are times when we have to spend additional time in fixing items that may not function correctly, therefore I have set the standard with my sales and service team that these corrections should not cause the customer any inconvenience. To this end we provide loaner cars or deliver the vehicle to a customer’s home or work. It is my understanding that we did deliver your Mazda3 to you, but after delivery you discovered a broken clip that we missed. When Darren the sales manager and Edwin the sales person told me of this issue, I asked them to replace that part either here at the dealership or at your home, whichever is more convenient for you. In addition I asked Darren to provide a gas card should you choose to come here to the dealership. I had this conversation prior to your review having been posted, so if you would please let me know if our response to this issue was not sufficient and what more we could do. I sincerely hope that your ownership experience is not permanently tainted by the mis-steps by my team. We strive to satisfy each and every customer, but occasionally we do not. We learn from our mistakes. Your review will help us get better. I know that I cannot undo your experience, but I would like to have a chance to speak with you on what we can do to make up for our mistakes. Please call or email at your convenience.
