So they changed that and my timing belt and changed me $1,707.74 So they way overcharged me for Labor which was $1,024.00. We asked to see the water pump "that the impeller was breaking apart" and they couldn't find it!!! So I called and talked to other dealerships and asked them how much it costs to change the water pump and since they were changing that the timing belt along with it.. They all told me $800 - $900. But still my heater is not working at all!!! I also think the reason why they overcharged me is because it was supposed to be covered under extended warranty... and come to find out the extended warranty turned it down and didn't pay. So I had to pay the $1,707.74 out of my pocket. Even called and tried to talk to service depart supervisor and left multiple voicemail's and STILL Waiting on them to call back to discuss this matter!! More

I would not hesitate to recommend him or this dealership. Ted is kind, helpful, informative and he worked hard to match us with the perfect vehicle and keep us informed throughout the process. Once our car arrived in Richmond, he took a great deal of time to teach us how to use all the technology the car offered and has continued to provide support and answer questions. We never felt pressured in the least, yet he communicated with us promptly at each step. We truly felt as though we were working with a friend or family member. He helped us get a great deal, too, and I'm tough to please when it comes to car pricing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ted Sisk and Brown's to anyone. He is honest, very knowledgeable about cars and committed to his customers. We're absolutely thrilled with our VW Golf! More

I put down a large deposit at Brown VW on July 4 2015 on a minivan. This is the first time I purchased at Brown. I am a first time mom and was hoping the minivan would make things simplified for me and my son. It's been the exact opposite. On July 6th I return the van because I was experiencing issues with the van. I have had trouble since the vary beginning. I did not receive the bill of sale, finance information, or any paperwork stating the specifics about the sale. I have spent a lot hours since the 4th at Browns trying to resolve these issues to no prevail. It's been three weeks now with no resolve. I have had a horrible experience. I want my money returned. I have been searching for a new car to replace my old car which had recently died and was not worth fixing. I opted for a VW Jetta Wagon and found the perfect one advertised at this dealership. I spoke to and also e-mailed salesman several times and we worked out the details. There was no haggling on either side as I agreed to pay their originally advertised price. I was sent a quote with all of the associated costs and the final out-the-door figure and was also sent an account router number to send the payment to. I offered to give them a deposit in one of our earlier conversations but was assured that I didn’t have to worry as they would hold the car for me. Well, I couldn’t believe what happened next when I was going to pay for the car…THEY SOLD IT RIGHT OUT FROM UNDERNEATH ME WHILE AT THE SAME TIME ASSURING ME THAT THE CAR WAS MINE! What type of dealership would do something so dishonest like this? I will never, ever do business with this dealership again! More
BEWARE! I have purchased 3 cars from this dealer in 1-1/2 years. I almost purchased a 4th today. The service department is super. The sales and financing I have purchased 3 cars from this dealer in 1-1/2 years. I almost purchased a 4th today. The service department is super. The sales and financing staff is terrible. The first car, new Pasat, delivered to us with a dent in the roof. Lucky we noticed it before departing the dealer. Second car, the engine compartment full of leaves and sticks, appeared to never been opened for delivery routines. Third car we were deceived regarding a purchased maintenance agreement on it and the second car. Of course the financing ace that sold us on it is long gone, they couldn't even produce the paperwork showing us the agreement the financing person had to sell us on the product. They are being difficult in righting the situation. Making it very difficult to obtain a refund for the agreement and trying to "prorate" something not used. My next set will be VW America and then court if I am not satisfied. JUST BEWARE. More

We bought a used VW in March. The sales men were all dressed sloppily and weren't welcoming or professional. The finance rep told me I have no credit score. I told him I do, and it is the higher of the dressed sloppily and weren't welcoming or professional. The finance rep told me I have no credit score. I told him I do, and it is the higher of the two (my husband and myself). I told him he incorrectly typed my SSN. He refused to input it again in my presence. That night I pulled my credit score on all three bureaus and there my score was, and still the higher of the two. He got quiet and short when we refused the warranty, which was the same amount as our used car!! Well, only 33.4 miles into driving it, the check engine light came on. 40 miles into driving it the front passenger side wheel wobbled upon accelerating. I was so mad, as I bought this vehicle to transport my two kids (who are both under two). I took it to a local mechanic as I did not trust VW. $2700 later, we have a safe vehicle. The mechanic said they did such poor work, with extremely cheap parts, "fixing" all the things that VW said they replaced or fixed, that VW caused to much more damage to the vehicle. The wheel was very loose, and unsafe. Leaks everywhere. Replaced so many other things. So disappointed. I should have known just by their disheveled appearances and lack of service that I was buying a lemon. Just so thankful my kids were not harmed while I was driving it. STAY AWAY from this dealership!!!!! More

We had to leave our car for three weeks so the issues could be properly diagnosed and resolved. A little long by most standards, but it's electrical. When we picked the car up we had a big ding on the drivers door. We couldn't prove it wasn't there. Recently, we had another major issue and had to leave the car for an extended period. This time major gouges/scratches on the rear quarter panel and the trunk. We brought this to their attention and were looked at like deer in your headlights. The car is an older model so I felt like we had a lot of nerve in their eyes to bring this up. Regardless of how you look at this, it's a Vehicle Service and Customer Service issue. To be fair, the service repairs appear complete. However, how can you leave your car with a dealer or any service organization that allows this damage to happen while your vehicle is kept in their locked gated service lot. Its not the public you need to be concerned with over damage to your vehicle, but the dealership's own service personnel. Have options before you have no choice where you take your VW. More
