I have purchased 2 vehicles from Browns and have been a customer for over 2 years. Took my car in today for a service visit and I must say, their commitment to their customers is unmatched in the area. F customer for over 2 years. From the General Manager to the Sales Staff to the Service Staff, they always make sure when I leave that everything is fully taken care of. "Drive Happy" is more then a motto to them, it is a commitment to 100% customer satisfaction. I have bought several new cars from several other dealers in the area, and thanks to the exceptional customer service and value I receive from them, I am a loyal customer for life! Thank you Brown's for taking care of me and making me feel like I am your #1 priority when I am there. Keep up the good work guys!!! More
I would rather go to the dentist than deal with these guys. Sales staff needs remedial training on things like basic manners and customer service. I had to make multiple attempts to contact just to get a quote and then when I finally did get my salesman to respond I could not believe how he spoke to me. If you want/need VW sales and service, go to West Broad Volkswagen, they actually understand how to treat people with respect and professionalism. Brown's should be closed and run out of town More

I have been very pleased with all aspects of my service experience at Brown's Volkswagen. The staff is curteous, responsive to issues or questions and aims to make sure that I'm aware of all services rend experience at Brown's Volkswagen. When I leave the dealership I have no doubt that my car will perform as expected. I have had my Passat for 7 years and all services performed have been at this dealership and I have had no issues requiring a return or request for rework. Price range has been acceptable and I have nothing but praise for the dealership and Jeff Cooper who routinely looks out for my car and me. Thanks! Great Job!!! More
I lived in Richmond for over four years after purchasing my 2005 Jetta from West Broad VW. After receiving horrific service from both West Broad and Brown's VW, I eventually had to drive to either Lynchbur my 2005 Jetta from West Broad VW. After receiving horrific service from both West Broad and Brown's VW, I eventually had to drive to either Lynchburg or Fredericksburg VW to have my car service. Experience at Brown's: I originally tried to purchase my 05 Jetta from Browns but the sales person overcharged me by a few thousand dollars. He claimed that he could not go down in price any further and that I would not be able to find the vehicle for the price that I wanted to pay. Well, I was able to purchase the car at West Broad for the price that I was willing to pay a few weeks thereafter. Since I lived on the Southside, I tried to have my car serviced at Brown's at least three times. On each occasion, the price that the dealership quoted was well above the market and/or surrounding competitor's price. My service representative was very impatient and non-customer service friendly. The only section of Brown's that is commendable is their parts department, which worked with me on numerous occasions to get the needed parts for my vehicle. Experience at West Broad: The experience that I had at West Broad is even worst…which is why I only went back once after purchasing my vehicle. I took my car in for its initial check-up and had to have my radio looked at because it was not playing CDs (note: all of this was under warranty). West Broad charged me a diagnostic fee for checking my radio. I had to report this dealership to corporate office because their erroneous claim that my radio was not covered under warranty. Since that time, I have yet to return back to West Broad. Summary - I have not received good service at either West Board and/or Brown's on Midlothian. I would never recommend either dealership (or a VW because of the lack of quality and numerous problems that I have had with this car). More
I live in the city and West Broad VW is closest VW Dealer to me. Unfortunatly they are verey difficult to work with so I decided to drive accross the river and try Brown's VW. To my suprise the experience wa to me. Unfortunatly they are verey difficult to work with so I decided to drive accross the river and try Brown's VW. To my suprise the experience was terrific!! They fixed the issue with my vehicle first time in and did a courtesy inspection to let me know my vehicle is in great shape. I will tell everyone I see to try Browns VW. The prices were fair and the people were courteous. What else can I ask for? Lisa B The Fan More
